Aprils pov

It's been seven months since that fateful day.

Snow has been heartbroken and yet she has been there for me... she kept her promise.

I haven't seen or heard from Dyl since that day too nor have I ever stepped foot in my old pack.

The search for my parents continues and so far I have nothing.

I'm a female rogue and well life as a rogue has its ups and downs. The only up I've seen is the freedom. The downs are being alone, having no one to trust, and being constantly on the run.

I mean, I have Snow but ........... Ugghh just forget about it.

Currently, I'm running through the forest in wolf form. Running against the wind feeling the slap of wind on my face and I can't help but think that there's no place I'd rather be.

I let Snow have fun running around chasing butterflies while I sit back and enjoy how childish she's being.

" Hey! I'm not childish!" She says mentally.

Ooopps I forgot she could hear me.

After a while, I tell her that it's time to go. She carries my bag with her teeth and runs.

We get closer to a town and I shift back to human form. The pain is excruciating and I inhale and exhale for around 5 minutes as I lean on a tree.

Once the pain dissipates I put on my clothes.

I wear a black top, black jeans and black converses. I then tie my hair in a ponytail and put on a black cap. Lastly, I sling the bag over my shoulder, put my hands in my pocket and enter the town.

The sun is setting and the sky has turned a reddish-orange. I take a note from my back pocket to remind me where exactly I'm going.

I read it and put it back in my pocket.

I make my way through the crowd of people trying to get home before it gets dark. The town is unfamiliar and I rely on street signs to show me where I'm going.

I stop to search for my destination.... and there it is, right ahead of me......

St. John street.

I run as fast as I can, but not too fast because I don't want humans to notice my super speed.

I turn the corner to see darkness awaiting me. It was so dark that if it weren't for my night vision, I wouldn't have seen anything.

In the distance, I see a silhouette of a person with his hands behind his back.

I take a whiff of his scent and I instantly know that he's a rogue.

I get closer to him and as if he sensed me, He turns to face me. He looked to be in his late thirties, but he's a werewolf so he might as well be 100.

"Aaahhh! April, I'm so glad you could make it!" he says and something just doesn't feel right about his tone as I tense.

" You said you had information about Matthew and Eve Sinclair. That's what I'm here for"
