Aprils pov

2 days later :

"April! April! Are you even listening to me?" Esmy asks and by the tone of her voice I can tell she's irritated.

"Um.. " I trail off.

"Come on! This is really important I mean I know you're day dreaming about my brother but come on! " She exclaims making me blush.

"For starters, I was not thinking about your brother I just remembered that you have something that belongs to me. " I say honestly.

"What do I have?" She asks while sitting down.

PS. We are in Jasons house right now, I really didn't feel like going out after what happened last time.

"My backpack." I say slowly hoping to the Goddess that she hasn't seen what's inside.

"Right. I've been meaning to ask you about that." She says seriously.

"Did you open it?" I ask fearing the answer.

"Yes for the safety of my pack. Although, I really didn't understand what I was reading." She says without blinking.

" Okay. I understand that." I reply to the first part of the statement.

"April let me help you, the day you stumbled into my territory you told the council that you were looking for your parents. What are their names?" She asks and I get a feeling that she's actually being honest about wanting to help me.

"Matthew and Eve Sinclair." I say in a deep breath.

Her expression changes from serious to thoughtful and she looks like she's trying to remember something.

"Those names ring a bell but I can't for the life of me remember where I've heard them from." She says while getting up.

"Does Jason know?" She asks.

"No." I answer immediately.

"Let him in April. Just please try to let him in for both your sakes." She says while making her way towards me.

"What if I don't know how to?" I ask vulnerably.

"He'll teach you." She says while taking my hand in hers.

"What about Amelia?" I ask needing answers.

"It's not in my position to tell." She says as she takes a seat next to me and lets go of my hand.

"You've changed the topic enough. Now let's get back to what we were discussing." She says with finality.

Dang it! I thought she had forgotten! By the look on her face I know she knows what I'm thinking especially after she says :

"No way young lady, the ceremony is in a week and we haven't got much time left. So, tell me which colour of dress would you like to wear on your special day?" She asks dramatically...

"Really? Special day? You're making it sound like I'm getting married!" I exclaim.

"You're doing it again. Choose now." She commands.

"Midnight blue." I say because that's the first colour that comes to my mind.

"The colour of royals. Nice choice. Next, what food will be served?"

"Aren't you the Alpha? Can't you just choose?" I ask tired.

"I can but I choose to sit this one out because its not everyday my brother gets a mate and my pack gets a beta female. So, please for the love of the Goddess could we just finish this quickly so I can go to the office and attend to other duties?" She asks and I can tell that she's quickly losing her patience.

I nod.

That's exactly how the two hours went by, we planned the entire event ranging from the attires, to the theme colour (don't ask!), cake (I don't know why we need this but hey? I'm not complaining I mean who doesn't love cake?) , food , drinks etc.

"Well, I'm gonna go now. Thanks for cooperating." She says while giving me a small hug.

"Its okay. Although, we forgot one thing." I say.

"Which is?"

"The guest list."

"Right! I had totally forgotten about that." She says while handing me a piece of paper..

I read the first column and I can't seem to spot any name I know until....

Oh no!.

I feel anger surge through out my entire being and before I realise what I'm doing, I rip the paper apart.

The last name on the list was :

Jake Currington - Alpha of the Dark Moon pack.
