Aprils pov

We walk around the house and find a path that leads to a tiny gate that is being held up by a wooden fence. Jace opens the gate for me and I walk past him to see a beautiful green field with trees in some parts of the field, its absolutely breathtaking. I've always loved nature❤ I don't know whether its because I'm a werewolf or its just me.

Dyl and Esmy join us and we're now walking together in a straight line. Jace directs us to what looks like a stable and there are four beautiful horses outside tied to trees. Damn! They really planned ahead. The closer we get I notice the horses are already tacked up.

"Dyl? Tell me I'm not the only one who has never gotten on a horse before." I say starting to feel kinda scared.

"I wish I could but don't worry about it.. You'll be fine." He says.

We get to the horses and Jason enters the stables to greet the foreman and to tell him we've taken the horses, while Dyl and Esmy try assure me . They don't realise that they're only freaking me out more.

Jason comes back in no time and Dyl and Esmy get on the horses, Jason tells me to get on the beautiful black beauty whose name I'm told is Gypsy and apparently the most humble horse they have.

Jace holds onto me and helps me mount the horse. The horse moves slightly and I panic.

"Oh my goddess! Babe, I'm gonna fall!" I whisper shout because I read somewhere that the best way not to spook an animal is to talk quietly , no shouting.

"Take a deep breath and just try to relax." Jace says.

Dyl and Esmy are busy laughing at me, I just scowl at them. Jace unties the horse and hands me the reins, He then gets on his horse so effortlessly it takes my breath away.

Their horses start moving and I'm just left there wondering what to do.

"Gently kick the horse." Esmy mind links me and I feel super embarrassed.

I send her an image of me hugging her tightly.

"Wait, did you just send me an image? How did you do that?" She mind links.

"I don't know."

She looks curiously at me.

"Please no questions. Let's just enjoy the day." I plead.

She nods and we continue slowly riding on the beautiful field.

"Just try kicking your horse harder than you did but still gently." Esmy says and I do just that and Gypsy moves a little faster. " To control which direction she moves just pull the reins and anytime you want to move faster just gently kick her."

"Thanks babe!" I say and blow her a kiss.

I do exactly what Esmy told me and after a couple of tries I think I get the hang of it.

With every kick she keeps on increasing her speed and in that moment I forget everything and its just me and Gypsy, as the wind blows I feel like it blows all my problems and worries away.

After a while my tummy rumbles and I'm snapped out of the joy of riding, I start looking around to see where everyone is.

Jace is next to me and Esmy is ahead of me with Dyl.

"Damn! I'm glad you're here!" I say to Jace in relief.

"I've been here the whole time." He says laughing." You just looked like you were in your own world and I didn't want to snap you out of it. You looked so beautiful and stress free, I didn't want to ruin that."

"Aaawww.. You know I love you right?" I say blushing.

"And I hope you know I definitely love you more?" He says and I blow him a kiss.

"I know babe but I'm super hungry though ." I confess.

"Thank Goddess! We wanted you to have your fun but the thing is we were hungry a long time ago " he says with a laugh.

"Really now? So, where to from here?"

"You'll just have to wait and see."

"Uugghh! I just knew you'd say that."

"😂😂😂 then why ask?" I just give him an evil look.

He mind links Esmy and Dyl to turn back and once they do we turn back as well and return the horses to the stables.

"Are we going back to the house?"

"No." Esmy answers and asks us to follow her. She leads us to a small path in the woods and we follow in silence.

After a while I hear the sound of running water, a lake or maybe a river?

"Is there a river or a lake nearby?" I ask

"Yeah a lake. How did you know?" Jace asks surprised.

"I can hear it."

"Ohh... Cool. We're here!" Esmy announces and leads us to a clearing with a wooden cabin.

I smell food that has been set up on a wooden table that is beside the cabin. I literally run towards it.

"Calm down girl, the food isn't going anywhere." Dyl says laughing.

"Wait, where did the food come from?" I wonder.

The food is in a picnic basket, I open it to find one serving spoon, four plates and spoons, there's also two hot pots, I take them out one by one and carefully set them on the table.

By this time everyone has joined me, Esmy sits next to me while Jace sits next to Dyl.

I open one hotpot and the sweet aroma of rice instantly fills my nostrils and my tummy rumbles, I open the second one and the smell of chicken stew makes my mouth water. I quickly serve everyone and we thank the goddess for the food and ask for her blessings.

We wait for Esmy to take the first bite because she's our alpha and its a way of showing respect.

After we finish eating, I return everything into the basket and Jace asks if we'd like to go for a swim.

"I don't have a costume babe." I say.

"I've got you covered sis, Follow me." Esmy says as she takes my hand leading me to the cabin.

She opens the door and the first thing I notice is the fire place that is made of bricks and has pictures hanging on top of it. There's a rocking chair beside the fireplace and two sets of sofas that fit the room perfectly.

"May I have a look at the pictures?" I ask.

"Later.. Let's go for a swim first before it gets too late." She says

The cabin has three rooms : the living room and two bedrooms. Esmy enters a particular room and I follow her to find a simple room, there's a bed in the middle of the room and small wardrobes on the side, a rocking chair in the corner and one huge window,I decide to open the window to let the fresh air in.

"Blue or purple? " Esmy asks while holding up two sets of bikinis.

"Purple." I answer.

She takes the blue one and we change quickly, we then fold our clothes neatly and place them on the bed and go out to join the guys.

"Race you there!" Esmy screams at us and starts running.

We start running through the woods and its so exhilarating, I spot the lake and my excitement increases, I run faster and catch up to Esmy and we're now running at the same pace , right before we jump into the lake we look at each other and shout "CANNONBALL!" then jump off the deck.

The water is cold and it takes a minute for me to get used to it, Jace dives in and swims towards me with Dylan following behind him.

Jace reaches me and wraps his arms around my waist, as if on instinct I wrap my arms around his neck he looks at me intently then slowly kisses me eyebrows , then my nose and stops on my cheek.

"You're such a freaking tease!" I say trying to catch my breath.

I splash water on him as pay back and try to swim away.

"Where do you think you're going?" He says and pulls me by the waist and now he's hugging me from the behind, he starts kissing and biting my neck and my self control is slowly wearing thin. I turn around and kiss him so hard and he kisses me back with a passion that has my toes curling and making me want to take him right here.

"Get a room you two!" Dyl says faking disgust and splashes water on us, Esmy joins him and Jace and I decide to hit them back hard, we separate and splash water on them faster and harder.

After a while we get tired and decide to go on the deck to dry off and of course watch the breathtaking sunset. The light glimmers on calm water and I lean into Jace and put my head on his shoulder, he drapes his arm around me and says:

"I wish it could be like this all the time."

I look up at him and he's already looking down at me, I reach out and touch his cheek and kiss him. I mean, what did I do to deserve this amazing guy?

"You are the best thing that ever happened to me babe, I'd literally be lost without you." I tell him.

"Promise me something?" He asks.

"Of course."

"Don't you ever leave me. I just found you and everyday with you feels like heaven, the more I get to know you the deeper I fall and at this point I never want to stop falling because I love you and I never want to lose you." The vulnerability in his voice breaks me and I almost break out in tears but I have to be strong. I can't give him any sign that I'm leaving and so I lie:

"I promise babe." I hug him tightly and it takes a second for me to realise that I'm crying.

"Why are you crying? Is it something I said?" He asks worried.

"No! I'm just happy, you make me happy." I tell him trying to hide my guilt and the sadness I feel at lying to him.

"I hate to break up you two love birds but its getting late. We should probably head up to the cabin." Dyl says.

We get up and it just hits me that today is all I had with these beautiful people and its already over.. I mean, how is it already over?

We get to the cabin and there are candles all over the room , the sofas have been moved to the side to accommodate the dining table that is now at the centre of the room and is filled with different types of food, the fireplace has been lit and the room is so warm and cosy.

I head towards the room where we left our clothes.

"Esmy, you coming?"

"No, you change first." She says and I can literally see her mouth watering at the food.

I let out a small laugh then enter the room, there are candles on the wardrobe and I make my way towards my clothes, I remove the bikini then I start putting on each item of clothing one by one and after I'm done I see a note. Fear creeps up on me but I have no choice but to open the note.

It reads:

Dear April,

I hope you have enjoyed your last day with your "family" before ruin and destruction befalls the pack. I already have warriors surrounding your pack and all they need is my signal to attack.

Unless of course you have decided to come to me on your own, if you have just write it down on this paper and someone will pick you up.

I look forward to seeing what you've chosen but either way I WILL HAVE YOU ❤.

I spy a pen on the bed , of course I'd already made the choice to go to him and that's exactly what I write on the note. I leave the note on the rocking chair hoping that by the time Esmy comes to change it will be gone.

I take a deep breath, fake a smile then open the door.

Dinner goes by in a blur and before I know it, its time to sleep. I hug Dyl tightly and kiss Jace hard, he doesn't know its my goodbye kiss, I mean who knows the next time I'll see him again? Or if I ever will? I hug him tightly and he hugs me back tighter and its the best feeling in the world 😍.

I wish them a goodnight then join Esmy in the room, I look at the rocking chair to find the note gone, thank goddess!

I hug Esmy tight and wish her a goodnight, we get into bed but for obvious reasons I can't sleep. Esmy falls asleep within minutes and I really hope she's a heavy sleeper. I sneak out of bed and open the door slowly.

I see Dyl sitting on the dinner table and my heart almost jumps out of my chest.

"Um... Dyl, what are you still doing up?"

"Waiting for you of course!" He says while standing up.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"I can't say more but they are waiting for us." He says mysteriously.

"Who?" I ask.

"NW of course."
