Jasons POV

Its been two days since the first note arrived and since then more of them have been delivered to our house.

I feel so powerless each and every time I see the notes because my mates life is in danger and I don't know who's trying to kill her... I put on a brave and confident front when I'm with her but the truth is I'm dying inside with fear of the unknown..

"I think I might have an idea" Shadow says.

"I'm listening" I say sighing.

"We need to mark her!" Shadow growls.. "Its the only way, in that way, we'll know where she is all the time and if she's in danger we'll sense it." I can feel his desperation at keeping our mate safe through the bond.

"I don't think she's ready for that yet." I say remembering how hard it was for her to open up and give our relationship a chance.

"Snow is." He says slowly.

"How do you know that?" I ask shocked..

"I can feel it.. She is my mate after all." He says. "You promised me I would get to see her." He says sadly.

"I'm sorry Shadow, its just that with everything going on we really can't risk it." I say instantly feeling guilty.

"But I want to see her." He pleads and I feel his want and need for his mate and it crushes me even more.

"When all this is over, I promise you I will let you stay in wolf form for a week. Does that sound okay?" I ask.

"Not even cl-."

"Am I interrupting something?" April asks cutting shadow off.

"Just Shadow being Shadow is all." I say acting cool as though I don't want to sink my canines into her neck and mark her as mine. Just the thought of it has my canines elongating.

"Oh. I was worried, you've been sitting on that couch for about twenty minutes just staring into space." She says with a frown. "Is there anything wrong?"

"No!" I say too quickly and by the look on her face I can tell she knows I'm hiding something. "How about we go for a walk?" I ask.

She pulls me off the couch and walks me through the door and to the open air. Its so dark tonight not even the tiniest star in sight. I feel her pull me towards her and my breath catches in my throat when my eyes lock with that of my beautiful mates.

She looks breathtaking, her long hair is blowing in the wind , her eyes twinkling with excitement and then a small smile makes its way on her lips and It is in this moment that I realise how much I love this female. Despite what was happening, here she is looking so free without a care in the world and the best part is she's all mine.

"No she isn't you idiot! Not until we mark her." Shadow says.

I ignore him and lead April towards the road, we don't need to talk because the silence is comfortable.

"Snow wants to meet Shadow." She says after a while.

"Shadow wants the same but we can't risk it." I tell her feeling even more guilty.

"Yeah. We should get back, its getting late." She says and I sigh in response.

We walk back hand in hand and she leans closer to me and places her head on my shoulder. We reach the house in a couple of minutes and I lead April to my room.

"Where are you taking me?" She asks with a small smile.

"To our room." Her face lights up at the word "our".

" Is that so?" She says with a small smile.

"Of course." I say and she steps closer to me.

"Hmmmm... Well that's strange." She says seriously.

"What is?" I ask confused.

"I don't remember you asking me to move into your room." She says thoughtfully.

"April Sinclair would you do me the honor of moving into my room?"

"Now was that so hard? Of course!" She says giving me her billion dollar smile.

I step closer to her and kiss her as if my life depends on it, she kisses me back with the same urgency. After a while we break the kiss and she's too busy catching her breath to realise that I'm watching her..

Aprils POV

"About time! I've been waiting for you to do that for a few hours now." I say looking at him only to find him already looking at me.

"Really?" He asks shocked and I nod in response.

"April, you're my mate you can kiss me whenever you feel like.. I don't mind..." He says. "In fact, I'd love that."

"Okay then. Let me go change into my pajamas then I'll meet you in your room." I say happily.

He gives me one long slow kiss that has my toes curling then walks towards his room.

"Our room, you idiot!" Snow exclaims but I can feel her happiness though.

"Right! I'm not used it.. Give me time." I tell her and she doesn't argue with me.

When I get to my room I find the windows open which is strange because I had closed them earlier and then I spot a note on my bed. I instantly freeze because the notes that have been delivered to this house over the past few days have not been positive.

I close the windows first because Its cold but before I close the curtains I make out a silhouette of a person running in the dark.

Maybe its just a coincidence?

"Or maybe he's the one who left that note." Snow says and I can feel her panic through the bond.

I sit on my bed and carefully open the note... It reads :

I love the dark better than the light, I love how you'll never sense the danger lurking in it.

I saw you tonight, looking beautiful and care free and all I can tell you is this : savour the moments you still have because they won't last.

Why are you making this so hard? Do you want people to die because of you? Is it not enough that you caused the death of many innocent people when you were running away from Dark moon pack?

I know what you want April, I know you are searching for your parents, come to me and I will tell you everything you need to know. Don't make me kill innocents (although I don't mind) all because of you.

Don't you dare tell anyone about this note , whoever you tell will suffer the consequences and don't forget that I have eyes and ears everywhere. When you have made your decision I'll let you know how you can find me..

You have three days to decide, remember danger lurks everywhere especially in the dark. NEVER EVER let your guard down like you did tonight.
