"Que Sera Sera"

Chapter One
Page Eight

The sunset was shining much brighter than usual and I couldn't quite grasp the reality of what was happening. This wasn't normal.
I didn't know what to expect when the police turned up at my door I was sure I had done nothing wrong but I would never have expected for this to happen.

Now what am I going to do.

I anxiously busied myself with getting more work done until the clock struck seven. That's when I heard the cars come up the long winding driveway and I dropped everything and rushed to my front door.

My hands held tightly in front of me as i stood on the porch waiting for them to appear around the corner and they did.

The shadows of the hedges and trees covered the police cars and the gravel moved with the tyres as they came to a stop in front of the steps.

Desperately I tried to catch a glimpse of what was within the cars; more specifically the bag seats. It was all in vain, for the the widows were blackened out as well as the fair distance between us.

For better or worse it wouldn't be long till I found out who was in the back of the cars.
