"Angel with no wings, but full of love"

Chapter One

Page 6

Refocusing my attention to the staircase I lay one of my hand gently against the sturdy dark wooded banister and peered up to the top only to find that the staircase spirals on for a while.
Three levels I guess.

At the top however there was a rounded glass roof over where the staircase sat and the outside sunlight shone down on to the staircase causing the colourful glass designs to project themselves across the staircase and paint-peeled walls.

Taking in a deep breath I gripped onto the banister as I stepped up the first step half expecting it to fall apart beneath me but surprisingly it didn't even creek.

Braving up another step I squeezed my eyes shut, the prominent fear of falling through following me as I stepped up each step until I was finally at the second floor with only the sound of my big boots clinking along.

I find it relatively surprising that I never fell to my death, I had better touch wood to that; I don't currently feel like dying maybe another day.

This floor had a smaller hallway not that, that wasn't easy as the floor below was fairly large.

Looking around I notice the continuation of the floral embellished walls, this floor was thankfully a lot toned down than the previous.

The area is mainly unbroken with only the odd broken floorboard and the odd sideboard ripped and rotting.
There was a door on every doorframe which is honestly such a relief. This place is already going to cost a fortune.

There was only two doors on this hallway and both were over near a large half circle window that looks out over to the gates, and down at my car.

I open one of the doors to see what looks like an old bedroom all that's left is a large canopy bed frame that looks to be stuck to the ceiling and floor.

There is yet again more doors in this room, two to be precise. Peering inside each I find that one is a very smashed up bathroom and the other a cupboard with nothing in it, most likely used as a closet.

The room at the other side of the hallway was the exact same except the bathroom was not as smashed up.
The ceilings of both were full of the most quirky designs, beautiful but quirky, nothing I've ever seen before.

Leaving the room I walk out to the large circular window and watch as the sun lowers slightly in the sky.

Knowing I don't have much time left to explore I rush up to the next floor, the last floor which appears to be the exact same as the second floor with only two rooms and a bathroom and closet in each, with the circular window.

Only this floor has another window opposite the circular one. It ,although seriously cracked, allows you to overlook more of my land the sad thing is part of the glass plant conservatory blocks the view with the top of the spiralling, circular, middle being in the way of the middle of the window. It didn't make to much of a difference, and who was I to complain!
