"If you don't fight for what you want don't cry for what you lose"

Chapter 1

Page 5

After leaving the conservatory I head to the small doorframe behind the staircase, inside the room a large fireplace takes up a large amount of the middle of the wall across from the doorway.
The fireplace is much grander than the one in the previous rooms.

The one in the first room has a lot more detail, the one in the second room is of a smaller size.

But that wasn't the only thing catching my attention, oh no, it was nothing compared to the walls that instead of being like the previous walls they were in fact thick, dark wood bookshelves.

The wood was obviously rotting away before her very eyes and the remaining books looked ready to crumble apart. The dampness had touched them causing them to wear away.

Walking further within the room I trailed around the walls occasionally pausing to read over the odd book title.
I finally reached the wall on the furthest side which had yet another door, luckily the door was still attached.

It groaned as I pushed it open with all my might but it wouldn't budge.
I tried opening it for a good five minutes before giving in and continuing to explore the rest making a mental promise to get someone to help me open the door.

Heading back to the staircase I got a chill up my spine.
Something didn't feel right, I had no idea why but I felt as if I was being watched.
I felt my skittish nature try to push past my brave front but I shook it away.
It was only a figment of my imagination of course!
