Isobel P.O.V.

I got up this morning, nice and refreshed to begin another day of wedding prep.

"Morning sleeping beauty," Kade drawled, leaning against the counter mixing his protein shake vigorously.

"Well then you must be the beast and not the prince." I retorted, rummaging through the pantry for some granola I could have with greek yoghurt.

"Yeah," he shrugged.

I put my bowl and ingredients on the table and frowned. Did... he... just agree with me?

"In the gym, in the office... and definitely in bed," he winked.

Oh. There it was.

He's so full of himself. I rolled my eyes, proceeding to make myself breakfast. It's too early for this.

"Good morning guys," Sophie came bouncing down with Oliver hot on her tails.

"Morning," I smiled.

"Is, you wanna come with me to my pilates class this morning?" she said, throwing some frozen fruit+veg, coconut water, chia seeds, and some sort of powder into the blender. I reluctantly agreed, thinking about how everyone was keeping up with their routines and working out lately- except for me.

"Okay, when?" I said, crunching the granola.

"In about an hour, then we can come home and change before dress fittings," she said handing Oliver a glass full of the smoothie.

"Thanks babe," he pecked her on the cheek before taking a seat next to Kade as they had their own conversation.

"Sounds good," I nodded.

"Hey Oliver, can I have Margaret's number?" I asked, referring to his older sister. I remembered I had to get some more family photos. I had already texted Casey, Sophie's sister since we were friends back in high school too.

"Yeah sure," he nodded taking out his phone. "Why's that?"

"Oh, I just had to ask her about wedding stuff, you know maid of honour and all." I made a random excuse. "She got married when we were in senior year right?" I added, making myself sound more believable.

Kade simply cocked an interested eyebrow at me with a face that said; What are you doing, you weirdo. I can see right through you.

Oliver however, suspected nothing and quickly texted me the number.

"Thanks," I smiled, adding it to my contacts.

"No worries," he chirped, gulping down his breakfast.

I quickly finished mine up before washing my dishes and headed upstairs to change into workout clothes. I put on a sports bra, a tight tank top and some 3/4 yoga pants, tying my hair up in a high pony before popping on some sneakers. I decided against makeup since we might get a little sweaty.

I laid in bed responding to a few texts, giggling at the funny ones Drew had sent me, complaining about how some of the models were being snobby in the photoshoots he was working on. I then pulled up Margaret's contact, and quickly texted her before I forgot, asking if she could dig around to get some pictures.

Speaking of photos, I guess I should probably go ask Kade if he had any, considering they were best friends. I knocked on his bedroom door and waited. He swung it open and emerged shirtless with water droplets dripping down his glorious, tan wet body and a towel wrapped low around his waist, just under his prominent V line. I invisibly gulped. Is it just me, or did someone just turn on a heater? Ah stop that! I smacked myself internally as I brought my gaze up to his eye level.

"Checked me out enough?" he said.

"No," I scoffed. I was not doing that.

"So you're not done checking me out?" he bit his lip in amusement.

"Yes I am!"

"So you were checking me out?"

"Uh yes! I mean no- wait, what?" I fumbled. "Do you, uh wanna maybe get some clothes on?" I waved my hands around dramatically at the almost naked situation before me.

"Nah," he crossed his arms and leaned against the doorframe. "What is it Bel?" he chuckled. "It's not every day you knock on my door."

"Right." I pointed two mini "gotcha" finger guns at him. Cringe. Why did I do that? I smoothed my hands down my leggings to stop them from doing some weird things. "Um anyway, do you think you could have a look and find any throwback pictures of Oliver and yourself, or of you and Soph? And recent ones too would be good..." I explained, shifting on my feet.

"And send them to you?" he replied.

"Yeah," I nodded. "Please?"

"Alright, I'll see what I can do."

"Okay, uh, thanks!" I smiled, before standing there awkwardly, rocking on my heels.

"Bels?" he shifted back into his room and held the door.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Shoo," he waved his hands at me, beckoning me to move.

"Oh, right." I stepped back, turning around to make my exit before he began closing the door.

"Nice ass." He called out quickly with a snigger.

I stopped in my tracks and spun around, ready for a comeback. The door slammed shut.

Dammit.

Sneaky devil.

Pilates was surprisingly nice. My muscles felt stretched and warmed up. We headed back home and had some lunch, waiting a small while to digest before heading to our fitting at about 2:30pm. Jenny and her college friend Claudia, would also be arriving today straight from the airport so they could make it for the fitting. Sophie, being the kind person she was, offered to pick them up, but they declined and said they could share a cab together. Besides, it would be like bridesmaid bonding time.

"Hey Casey!" I said hello to Sophie's younger sister as she hopped into the car. She was almost a replica of Sophie, simply with darker auburn hair and a shorter build.

"Hey Isobel! Hey sis!" She waved from the backseat. "How's everything going? I'm sorry I haven't been there more to help, school's been full-on," she sighed.

"Aw it's okay Casey, you're here now." Sophie, replied, giving her a kind smile.

"Yeah," I agreed. "Everything's under control... so far," I chuckled. "How's Brown treating you?"

"Good! I've got one year left of studies."

"Hang in there!" I encouraged. "It honestly flies by!"

"Yeah it really does, a couple of years of college then you graduate out into the big world." Sophie added, two hands on the wheel.

"Mmm," Casey agreed. "It feels like yesterday we were all kids hanging out at the pier, now you're doing adult things like getting married," she chuckled.

"Well you're an adult now too," Sophie replied with a chuckle. "You just had your 21st birthday."

"True, I'm so old," she noted half pleased with the fact that she was now legal, but aging.

"What does that make us?" I joked lightly.

"Oh please! You guys look my age, no one could tell the difference," she smiled convincingly.

I let out an endearing laugh. "Aw, I definitely missed when you used to sweet talk us. It's nice to have a human complimenter following you around." I grinned. Casey, just like her sister was always very nice. Especially when she wanted to come hang out with us as kids, and when she wanted us to do things for her on the dl, so Soph's parents wouldn't find out.

She winked cheekily in return.

We arrived at the boutique and stepped inside the elegant space. There were fine suede couches and fluffy rugs littered in the centre surrounded by rows of beautiful, sparkling dresses. We made ourselves comfortable to wait for our seamstress and the other girls to arrive. Not too many adjustments should have to be made with the bridesmaid dresses since they were premade and we had all picked our sizes based off described measurements. Maybe some hemming or strap shortening. For Sophie however, it was custom ordered a while ago, so this was her final fitting and last minute alterations just to make sure the dress was still looking okay on her since the last time she tried it on.

"Jenny!" I came over to hug her as she arrived at the boutique. "Wow you look amazing!" Jenny did a mix of dance, choreography and cheerleading for various different occasions. Her body was always athletic and fit, with gorgeously toned arms and legs. That hadn't changed since high school.

"Hi Is!" She squealed, pulling me into another tight hug. "Ah thankyou, gosh so do you, I mean- hot damn!" She gestured towards me.

I chuckled at the compliment before greeting Claudia. "Hi! It's nice to see you again in person," I smiled. We had a bridal party group chat, so I've talked to her before, but I'd only seen her once at Oliver and Sophie's joint college graduation party.

"Yeah, you too Isobel!" She replied, giving me a light hug before we all settled on the big fancy couch.

The girls all giggled and gushed over each other as we chatted away, catching up on everything in between turns getting fitted.

Sophie was an absolute angel. She had considered our opinions and chose light peach- almost gold-like, long, flowy dresses for us. No hideous fashion disasters here. The dresses were made of a fine chiffon material, cinched at the waist, with a dipped V neckline and small spaghetti straps, which were cross-crossed low at the back. It flattered all of us perfectly, and was fancy- but not too fancy to look out of place at her beach wedding.

And the bride? Well, she was a vision.

After a fun afternoon with the girls, I started getting ready to hang out with Tobias. I was so excited to see him. He had always been one of my close friends, and it's been a while since we had one of our catchups.

I had a shower, making sure to pack a robe to cover myself up after, as I made the short dash over to my room. I didn't want another repeat of our run-in the first night. Not that it mattered anyway, I guess, thinking about our encounter this morning.

I let my hair naturally dry, it usually fell in loose waves that way, before giving it a brush through to neaten it up. I slipped on a pair of black high-waisted shorts, a lace bodysuit and black jacket on top before popping on a pair of heeled boots. I decided to keep my makeup natural-looking and put on a layered necklace and some rings instead for some shine.

After finishing up, I click-clacked my way to Sophie and Oliver's room on the opposite side of the upper level.

"Hey," I knocked on the open door, peering inside.

"Hey what's up?" Oliver asked from his position on the bed. He was currently tying his shoes up, whilst the sound of water could be heard from the ensuite bathroom. Sophie must be showering.

"Could I please borrow one of your cars tonight? I'm meeting Tobias for dinner." I asked.

"Ah sorry Is, Sophie and I are picking up a load of my family from the airport tonight- we're taking both cars," he explained apologetically. "When are you leaving? We might be able to drop you."

"Oh no worries, I'll find a way," I smiled. They're so busy I didn't want to add on to their plate full of worries.

"Okay, maybe ask Kade? I'm pretty sure he's staying in tonight," he said, running a hand through his hair to neaten it up.

I snorted. "Yeah, wish me luck with that."

"True." Oliver chuckled. "He loves his car."

"He loves himself," I snickered. "Well, thank you anyway," I waved as I made my way back towards our bedrooms.
