Isobel P.O.V.

It was early afternoon and Kade and I had spent the time wrapped up in each other's presence. It was only a matter of time before we got lost in each other again- especially since neither of us bothered with clothes, using the sheets instead as a replacement. I lay there cuddled up with him basking in the afterglow of another round of intimate activities. The heat radiating off his body was so cosy, and I felt so peaceful.

There was one good thing that came out of the fact that we couldn't stop talking sometimes- whether it be chatting back and forth, joking or bickering- we always had the best conversations.

"It's been too long Bels," he murmured, softly tousling his fingers in my hair.

"It has," I nodded, reminiscing about all our wonderful senior year memories. "I am definitely the best you've had." I stated boldly. I mean, if he felt an inkling of how I felt with our explosive chemistry, surely the sex was amazing for him too.

"Now if I admit that, I'm afraid you'll get a big head. And I happen to like the size of your head right now." He said cheekily, bopping the tip of my nose.

I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Well in a way you just admitted it."

"Okay fine, you are..." he finally said.

I smiled, pleased with the answer.

"...out of this year anyway."

My face dropped, as I gave him a shove. He guffawed loudly, pulling me back towards him. "Only kidding. Out of all the years combined, sex kitten." He winked. "Reow."

I shook my head amusedly, not sure whether to be offended, pleased, happy or swoon from the statement. That was the effect Kade had on me though. I wrapped my arms around his chest, resting my head in the space between his shoulder to cuddle.

"No one compares to you, Isobel." He pressed a kiss to my temple. I smiled, elated by the thought.

"You know, apparently there's like 7 other people in the world that look like me?" I mused humorously in thought. "And 7 others like you."

"Yeah I've heard that before. Isn't it creepy? You could mistake me for my doppelgänger."

"There's no way I could ever mistake you, your personality is too loud and unique." I chuckled. "Would you mistake me? What if I had a twin huh?"

He was in thought for a moment before his lips twisted into a sly grin. "That would be double the fun."

I scoffed at the typical response. "You dirty boy."

"I didn't even say anything!" He protested cheekily. "But anyway, your appearance is only one small part of you. I'm attracted to your wit, your strength, your vivacious and charming ways- unfortunately."

"Gee we really need to get better at giving compliments to each other," I chuckled. "Unfortunately? Excuse me but you are very fortunate to know me Whitley."

"I know, I know," he rolled his eyes before agreeing with a grin. "I'm the luckiest. I just keep thinking sometimes how crazy would it be if we never met." He pondered thoughtfully. "Like, just imagine if my mom never divorced my dad, met Bruce, I never moved and then never met Ollie. And then Ollie never met Soph. And if you never met Soph. Everything's like a domino effect, or a product of the circle of life."

"Wow..." I breathed. "Well when you put it that way, it is pretty crazy to think if one thing didn't happen, perhaps it wouldn't have lead to this moment right now."

"Yeah. Exactly. Therefore, you are so lucky to have met me." He winked playfully. "The odds and chances are limitless."

I giggled, "Sure sure, I guess at one point or another I might bump into your doppelgänger anyways, so maybe I'll be fine..." I teased.

He recoiled before narrowing his gaze. "You know, I'm so grateful I don't have a brother that looks like me. I feel like you would use him against me."

I smirked playfully. "Scared of competition, Whitley?"

He shook his head adamantly. "What happened to 'there's no one like you, Kade?'"

My lips curved into a genuine smile before I wrapped my hand around the base of his neck, pulling him into a kiss. "There isn't." I admitted softly. "Even if you had ten doppelgängers, five handsome brothers and a twin."

He bit his lip, before pressing them to mine, dragging his hands down the smooth skin of my back. "Good. Because even if you had twenty doppelgängers, six sisters and were a triplet, I'd still go for you."

I giggled, tucking my head into his shoulder as I blushed. We were definitely getting better at not giving each other back-handed compliments.

"Isobel? Kade?" Sophie's muffled voice echoed through the corridor. "We're homeee! Where are you guys?" She called.

I froze in my spot. "Shit."

For a second- or many I should say, I'd lost complete track of time and circumstance as we lay there in our little bubble. I turned towards Kade who laid there unbothered in his bare state. I gave him a shove, pushing him off the bed.

"What the fuck woman," he mumbled.

"Here!" I threw one of our dry towels at him. I pointed at the door frantically with wide eyes telling him to get the fuck out. He rolled his eyes before wrapping it around his waist, giving me a salute and a playful grin as he exited my room.

I shook my head, popping on some underwear and a bra before slipping a t-shirt dress over my body. I brushed my hair out, flipping it over before smoothing it down. I stepped out, seeing the newlyweds just at the very end of the hallway.

"Hi!" I beamed, walking over to give them a hug. "How was your night? Wait. I don't wanna know. I'm sure it was great!"

Oliver chuckled as Soph eyed me with an amused expression.

"How was your night?" She said, glancing behind me. I turned around to see Kade strolling towards us with a playful expression as he pulled down his shirt properly. My lips pressed into a flat line before I cleared my throat.

"Greeeaaaatttt." I smiled.

"Hey my favorite hubby and wifey duo," he teased pulling Soph into a bear hug, and giving Oliver a handshake and pat on the back.

"Hey dude," Oliver replied. "You're gonna say that every time you see us now, huh?" He quirked an eyebrow.

"Well... Yup. Pretty much something along those lines." He shrugged, grinning.

"Anyway, want to help us pick up some stuff from the boathouse from last night?" Soph said. "Before they close at 5pm."

"Of course, of course!" I nodded eagerly.

"Sweet. We'll meet you downstairs. Kade you wanna take your car?" Oliver prompted.

He nodded, grabbing his things as I grabbed my phone and bag, ready to head off. I raced down the stairs in a huff. I made my way towards Oliver and Soph's car, before two hands planted itself on my shoulder and steered me away towards his.

"Clinger." I muttered under my breath.

"I heard that," he snickered. "Again, we all know who the clinger is. Especially after last night."

I elbowed him in the ribs before sliding in the passenger seat. "Say that one more time and I'll stop "clinging" then."

He turned to me with a horrified face. "I can't believe you're threatening to withhold sex. That's mean."

I snorted, before falling into a fit of laughter. Boys are so easily manipulated.

"You are distracting the driver right now with that horrendous sound coming out you. It's like cats dying." He said grumpily, hands gripping the wheel.

I snorted once again before cackling. He was literally throwing a temper tantrum because he's not getting what he wants.

After loading up the cars with boxes of decor from the reception, we decided to hit up Milky Mike's for dinner together.

Our last dinner together.

Well at least for me.

"Why hello kids! How are you all doing after the big day yesterday?" Mr. Morris greeted cheerily.

"Hey Mike." Oliver said, taking a seat at a booth, with the rest of us following suit. "We're all really good. Did you and Dot enjoy yourselves?"

"We sure did hun." Mrs Morris came out with a big smile. "It was beautiful."

"I'm glad to hear that." Sophie beamed.

"Now what can I getcha?" Mrs Morris asked, taking out her notepad.

"Burger and salad for me, some chicken fingers and fries, and a strawberry thickshake for Isobel." Kade responded promptly. I eyed him interestingly. He had the nerve to order for me? Good thing he got all the things I wanted or I was gonna whack him over the head.

Sophie smirked, wiggling her eyebrows at me whilst Oliver ordered their dinner. She leaned over the table before murmuring quietly. "We are talking later Is."

I puffed a breath. "Yes Mrs Lowe."

She chuckled. "You make me sound like your teacher. But doesn't Mrs sound amazing?"

I laughed. "Yes indeed Mrs Lowe."

She giggled, slipping her arm through Oliver's elbow, as he beamed down at her. They were practically glowing in wedded bliss.

"So what day are you leaving for your honeymoon again?" Kade said as we waited for our food. The drinks were served first, with myself happily sipping my strawberry shake.

"Just under a week from now on Friday." Oliver replied.

"Mm," Sophie nodded. "We're giving ourself a couple days to organise and clean up from the wedding first off before we leave for three weeks!"

"Australia and New Zealand will be amazing! Plus you're going on a cruise too right to some of the islands near that area?" I asked, straightening up as I remembered some of her plans.

"Yes!!! I can't wait! It's going to be amazing. We're flying to Queensland first and spending half a week there at the Great Barrier Reef, before driving down to Sydney, stopping by some of the coastal towns and beaches along the way. Then we'll be going on our cruise for five days before heading to New Zealand."

"Woah sounds jam-packed, but lots of fun! It's going to be so incredibly beautiful down there." I gushed, thinking about all the beautiful sandy beaches and brilliant blue waters, not to mention the landscape and scenic views.

"I'm jealous, sounds freaking amazing. I'll definitely have to go down under some time." Kade said, grabbing my milkshake to take a sip.

"What you don't already do that?" I said cheekily, unable to stop myself from making that sexual pun.

He turned towards me raising his eyebrows amusedly. "Aww see I knew I'd rub off on you sometime," he cooed. "So dirty Bels."

Sophie and Oliver chuckled.

"Yeah whatever Whitley. I can be witty too, but I have a filter sometimes y'know, unlike some people." I gave him a pointed accusatory look.

"Honesty is the best policy." He laughed before throwing his arm over my shoulder playfully.

Oliver grinned, looking between the two of us. "Maybe we can do a group trip somewhere one day... as long as you keep a lid on your sexual jokes Is, I don't think we can handle two times the Kade." He chuckled.

"Don't you worry Oliver, I have top quality jokes that don't need sex to sell." I grinned teasingly.

Kade rolled his eyes playfully beside me.

Our food arrived and we dug in, spending quality time together. Sophie was right, whatever happens with Kade, I'm grateful for the time I got to spend with my friends. I was even happy I got to reconnect to an old one. I'm trying to be positive.
