Y/N'S POV

"Junseo, stop! You're going to fall!" I exclaimed worriedly as our seven year old son paid no heed to my warning and excitedly jumped off his chair, ready to meet the guests, or more particularly Aera...Taehyung's daughter.

"I'm going to show her my new drone! She'll be so jealous." Junseo's eyes glittered with excitement as he turned to look at me, his pink lips curving into a mischievous smile that held an uncanny resemblance to his father's.

My heart warmed.

He'd looked so much like me when he was just born but over the past six years he had slowly grown to take after his father in every aspect.

Junseo even had the same cute roundness to his face that Jimin had as a child and was blessed with the same heart-melting cheeky smile that he would sneakily use to his advantage every single time he got in trouble.

"She's always showing off her Gucci clothes to me. I'm going to show her that I'm no less!" He exclaimed enthusiastically before quickly grabbing his new toy and running outside.

"I just know that these two are going to fight again. You just can't risk leaving them alone. They'll rip each other's hair off." I sighed, looking at Jimin who shrugged his shoulders before smiling and interlocking his fingers with mine.

"Don't worry about them, baby. Kids their age are supposed to fight. Besides, just because Aera is the calm one, doesn't mean she's going to spare Junseo for acting like a brat!" Jimin laughed.

"We both know Junseo is the one who picks fights with her, making up scenarios in his little head and assuming she's showing off her Gucci when the poor girl doesn't even actually have an option!"

I nodded. "Aera is indeed calmer out of the two. I just hope Junseo behaves himself today. I really don't want them to be huffy on such a special day."

It was the seventh anniversary of Bangtan and we had invited all the boys over to our place for a small dinnerโ€” a close-knit, intimate affair that allowed the boys to relax in a cozy, homely atmosphere and facilitated our families to get to know each other and get along better.

Thanks to such dinners, I had grown well acquainted with each of their wives or girlfriends and the kids got an opportunity to play together as well, developing deep friendships.

"How is the weather treating the expecting mother?" I smiled and hugged Namjoon's girlfriend who was now two weeks pregnant, leaving her beautiful face flushed with a healthy pink glow. It was safe to assume that there had been a little er-accident while their wedding planning was still under progress, but Namjoon looked extremely excited for the quickly approaching wedding so all seemed fairly well.

As for Taehyung...the story of his marriage was a bit surprising.

None of us had expected him to opt for such a conventional method to find his spouse. He had gotten married only a few months after Jimin and I's nuptials, and while none of us really knew why he had suddenly decided to agree to an arranged marriage at such a young age, we could certainly see why he was so happy.

His wife, a pianist by profession, was incredibly sweet and had Taehyung wrapped around her delicate fingers. And to top that off, they had been blessed with a daughter whom Taehyung absolutely adored.

"The weather is quite nice actually." Namjoon's wife laughed as we all settled down. "I just hope Namjoon stops breaking things when he becomes a father. Yesterday, he accidentally broke my favourite glass vase." She threw a playfully disapproving glance at him as everyone burst out laughing at the slightly embarrassed expression on his face.

Food and drinks were soon served and everyone was having a pretty good time when I noticed that Jimin had been gone for quite some time now.

He'd excused himself for a few seconds but hadn't returned for a good part of an hour now and I wondered if he'd come across Junseo and Aera fighting once again and had been caught up in breaking off the tiff.

"Jimin?" I called out as I neared Junseo's bedroom, only to feel a familiar hand wrap around my elbow, pulling me to the side.

"What?" I glanced at Jimin confused as he pressed a finger to his lips, gesturing me to be quiet and then pointed towards the door of Junseo's room that was slightly ajar, loud voices coming from inside.

My eyes widened. "Are they fighting again?

Jimin shook his head, pursing his lips and trying to find the appropriate words. His cheeks were slightly flushed from all the soju he'd drunk outside and his smile seemed a bit tipsy as he pulled me into a tight embrace, eyes alight with fascination as they seemed to scan every single detail of my face.

"I love you." The words sounded so natural rolling off his lips now. Hearing the same words everyday for seven years did give them a very touching sense of familiarity.

I chuckled, rolling my eyes. "Yes, I know, Jimin-ssi. And I love you too." Pecking him on the cheek, I gently pushed him away. "Can we please go in and check on the kids now? It's unnatural for Junseo to not stomp out with a scowl on his face by now. He's been way too calm all day."

"You don't understand." Jimin shook his head. "I-I don't think they're going to fight now."

I raised an eyebrow. Junseo and Aera not fighting the moment they saw each other?

Was the world coming to an end after all?

"That's not possible! You're drunk, Jimin." I laughed in disbelief but before he could say anything, Junseo rushed out, looking at us wide-eyed and almost...flustered.

From the way his cheeks were tinged red, the bright colour extending upto his ears, I almost thought he was sick.

Bending down to his level, I pushed his hair out of his face, feeling his flushed cheeks with the back of my hands. "What's wrong with you?" I chuckled softly, looking inside briefly to find Aera happily playing with Junseo's new toys.

Well, that was a first.

"I see you've been an incredibly good boy today, Junseo." I ruffled his hair appreciatively as he seemed to blush even harder. "Are you not going to fight with Aera today?" I asked him as he quickly shook his head.

"Really? Why?" I was genuinely curious now.ย  Hoping that Jimin would answer me instead, I glanced at Jimin only to find him blinking abruptly and looking away from me, avoiding my gaze.

"Because Appa told me I shouldn't fight with the one I kiss."

Wait, what?

"B-but you're seven Junseo!" I exclaimed, totally stumped.

"Mhmm. I accidentally kissed Aera but Appa said it wasn't a bad thing. And that I wouldn't get ew ew if I was nice to Aera. Plus..." Junseo hesitated a little before blinking up at me.

"I realised today...that she's too pretty to fight with. Good boys don't fight with pretty girls right?"

I whipped around to face Jimin, shocked at the new information. Junseo certainly couldn't have come up with all of this on his own.

And if it was true, Junseo might just be more similar to his father than I could ever imagine.

"Is it true?" I whispered and Jimin nodded sheepishly.

"Yes, we are best friends now."

Speechless, I looked at Junseo and then at Aera who had now walked outside to cheerfully interlock her tiny hand with his, both of them blinking up at Jimin and I innocently.

It felt like dรฉjร  vu.

I looked at Jimin and sighed. It seemed like they were going to have to do a lot of explaining when they grew up.

But...oh well.
