"What do you want Eric?" You asked irritated as you downed your drink. "I'm with friends."

"I know I saw you walk in." He responded back, and all you could do was just roll your eyes. "I just want to talk."

"Great so then you know I don't have time to talk." You ordered another drink and started to walk off, but not before Eric grabbed your wrist, and not in the way you wanted him to.

At first you were in shock, but this wasn't the first time he's ever put his hands on you. He's bruised you before and left marks, and he always apologized and said it would never happen again. Of course that was a lie as well.

"Who was that guy you came in with?" You were waiting for that question.

"His name is Chris." You kept tugging your wrist but he wasn't letting go. "Can I please go now?"

"Look I'm just trying to have a normal conversation with you." His eyes became darker and had this look of anger written across his face. "Why are you making this so difficult?"

"I'm not I have nothing to say to you nor do I want to say anything to you." Snapping your wrist out of his hold probably leaving a bruise.

"Oh come on just a friendly chat." This conversation was going to be anything but friendly.

Besides you could smell the whiskey clear on his breath. He always acted this way when he had even a sip of hard liquor.

"I'm not doing this with you. We're no longer together." Your arms across your chest making your boobs look even bigger.

His eyes darting down to your chest licking his lips as he looked at you. Feeling disgusted by him you put your arms down so your chest was no longer sticking out.

"Besides I don't have anything to say to you." You continued and watched his face fall down in defeat.

Never when you two were together would you have had the courage to stand up for yourself like this. Before you would have let him take over the conversation, and let him treat you bad. Not anymore.

The liquid courage was helping you indefinitely, and the fact you had someone dangerous watching what was happening across the room. All it would take it one look to him, and he would be stomping across the club to you.

"Well we don't have to say anything we can just go to the bathroom and fuck." Biting his lower lip trying to seduce you except it wasn't working on you.

He was treating you like you were a piece of meat, and quite frankly it was pissing you off. After all the things he's said and done to you, and he still has the audacity to approach you at a club, and act like you'll run back into his arms.

"You're a pig." Forgetting why you even went out with him in the first place.

Wondering to yourself if you were drunk or high the whole time you were with him.

"You won't be saying that once I get my cock inside of you." He whispered in your ear, but that was it for you, and now you were becoming uncomfortable.

It felt like the room was spinning between the alcohol, and his unwanted touching. This was all becoming too much, and you found yourself becoming dizzy. If you didn't get out of this situation quick you would probably pass out.

"Eric just leave me alone." Groaning as you turned around to walk away from him.

"Where are you going huh?" This time his hands grabbed your hips and pressed you up against his body. Your hands on his chest trying to push him away.

"Let go of me." This time you had panic in your voice. He was capable of anything. "Let go of me or I'll scream."

"Oh yeah? And whose gonna come running to you?" He laughed at your pathetic attempt to get him off of you. His hands roaming your hips up and down as he leaned his head forward to try and kiss you. "Everyone here is too drunk to care about you."

Looking around to see no one concerned about what was happening in front of them what so ever. You really became worried that he was going to try and assault you right now.

You could feel the tears threatening to spill as you couldn't fight his hold anymore. Chris was no longer in his spot, and your friend was too busy dancing.

You felt so vulnerable and helpless at this moment. More than likely you were about to be assaulted, and even in a room full of people you felt so alone.

"See nobody cares for what's about to happen to you." His lips attached themselves to your neck. "I can do whatever I want to you and nobody can stop me."

"I don't fucking think so." You heard a deep growl coming from behind you. Turning around to see Chris standing there with a deadly look on his face.

Eric stumbled back when he saw how big and muscular Chris looked. If looks could kill he would have killed everyone in this club. He was not playing games, but Eric being Eric wasn't going to back down.

"Oh yeah? The fuck you gonna do about it bro?" Eric stepped up to him so they were chest to chest.

"You don't wanna find out bro." He cocked his head when he said the last word. Chris was about ready to kill. "Back off or I'll break your god damn arms."

"Come on man you don't have the balls to do that." He scoffed at Chris making him squint his eyes like he begging him to test him.

Chris stepped even closer to Eric, and you could see the little red devil on his shoulder telling him to do it. Of course you didn't want to cause a scene so you stepped in with your back to Eric.

They both maintained eye contact neither one wanting to be the first to back down. They were both being stubborn, and you just rolled your eyes at them.

Placing your hands on Chris's chest seemed to put him in a trance. His eyes immediately falling to your innocent ones. It was as if you were silently telling him not to do this. The last thing you wanted was a huge fight to break out.

Nodding his head to you he backed down, and then placed his hand around your hip. You felt a weight being lifted off your shoulders with him being here. Eric looked between the two of you, and you couldn't tell if he was pissed or sad.

"Now I see." He waved his hand gesturing to the both of you. "You're fucking each other."

Chris just scoffed at him pathetically, and you felt kind of hurt that he would scoff at that. As much as you wanted to get away from both of them you had to put that aside, and just find your friend and get out of there.

"Yeah we're fucking each other. Now back off." His nostrils flared and had his hands in fists. "If I catch you around her again I will kill you.

Eric looked scared for a second but thought it was just a meaningless threat. You on the other hand knew what this man was capable of doing. Eric turned to look at you his eyes empty.

"I'll be seeing you again." He winked before he walked off.

Chris watched as he exited the club, and both of you stood next to each other. His arm still wrapped protectively around your waist. You felt safe around him, and were glad that he came along now.

"You okay?" He asked as he looked down to you in concern.

"Yeah I'm okay." You nodded your head even though you were shaking on the inside. "Just another crazy ex of mine."

"Well I don't think he'll bother you again." He puffed his chest out a little. 'Stupid fucker' you heard him mumble to himself.

Without another word the both of you sought out your extremely intoxicated friend. She was two sheets to the wind, and she was turning your night around with her slurred words. All three of you leaving the club so you and your friend could sober up.

There went your fun on the first night. Already starting to sober up, and it wasn't even midnight yet.

She sat in the back this time while you sat in the passenger seat. Things were a little awkward to say the least. Neither of you knowing what to say to the other right now. You could tell he did want to say something to you though.

It was better if he just left it alone at this moment so you didn't become upset again. Just trying to put it into the back of your mind that your ex tried to assault you.

Crazy how your night went from laughter and good times to tears and shock. All you wanted was one good night, and yet you had a feeling you weren't going to get that soon.

Once you got home you helped your friend get changed, and into bed. She kept slurring things to you, but you couldn't understand her and just kept laughing at her silliness. You could have sworn though she kept mumbling yours and Chris's name.

Pushing all that to the side you scuffled your way to your room to get out of the dress. Putting your hair back and taking all your makeup off. Looking in the mirror at yourself and how tired and stressed you looked.

Then glancing down to your wrist to see a red mark and light bruise already forming from Eric's tight grip. Placing your other hand over it giving it a soothing rub. Surely it wasn't going to really bruise tomorrow.

"He do that to you?" Turning around to see Chris standing there staring at your wrist. "The mark on your wrist?"

"Yeah." Was all you said not wanting to say anymore than that.

You could feel the tears welling up again. He's left marks on you before, but for some reason this time it hurt you more.

Seeing you in an upset state he practically jumped across the room, and pulled you into his arms. Shocking you at how sweet and soft he was being.

Holding your tightly against his chest. His arms pressed up against your upper back and neck. Making you wrap your arms around his waist. Face pressed against his chest. His chin resting on top of your head.

His body was like a cocoon of safety and warmth. You could stay wrapped in his arms forever. Closing your eyes as you breathed in his musky sandalwood cologne.

He slowly started swaying your body side to side almost in a soothing manner. You never expected to see this side of him soon. All that rough and tough exterior was just a shield to keep the bag guys scared and away.

Things felt such at peace right now. Even though he's probably killed more people than you've been alive, it was nice to see that he had a sweet spot. Maybe he didn't show this side to a whole lot of people.

"I've got you." He whispered sweetly in your ear. "He'll never bother you again."

You lost it as soon as he said that feeling the tears running down your face. Snot was probably covering his shirt, but he seemed like he didn't care all too much. Your body lightly trembling thinking back to the club, and thankful nothing horrible happened.

His hand was brushing your hair back softly and soothingly. If you weren't already tired before you were now. You loved having your hair played with. It's like he knew everything that you like.

Whispering kind and sweet things to you as he felt your body calming down.

"I promise he will never come near you." He pulled back so he could look into your eyes. It felt like such an intimate moment with him.

"Thank you." Smiling up at him to which he returned. "I can't imagine what would have happened if you weren't there."

He didn't like you saying that cause you could feel his body tense up at the thought. It really was a nerve wracking feeling to think about how badly he could have hurt you.

All you were thankful for was that you had Chris there to keep you safe.

"You said it was another one of your crazy ex's." He started off saying. "Has he ever hurt you before?"

"No never." You lied but he didn't need to know that.

"I should probably go to bed." Backing away making you way over to the bed. Suddenly feeling colder without him so close.

"Do you want me to stay with you?" Turning around to look at him. He looked so timid and nervous. "I mean if you want me to?"

"I think I should be okay." You smiled politely at him. As much as you wanted him to stay with you he was still a complete stranger, and a dangerous man.

"Let me know if you need me." His words were genuine and sincere, and you felt your heart melting at how sweet he was being.

All you could do was just smile at him.

Instead of saying another word he just nodded, and walked out of the door shutting it behind him. A part of him looked disappointing, but you were probably reading too much into it.

He was probably just being nice cause you were his little sisters best friend. She would kill him if he didn't look after you.

There was no way that there are feelings in that man. He would probably go back to his usual self in the morning time, and flirt and say inappropriate things.

All you could hope for was that you didn't have too much of a hangover tomorrow morning.
