"Does no one find the fact that the girls randomly bust out in song a little odd? I mean who does that?" Nick ranted as the orphans sang 'A Hard-Knock Life'.

Glaring in my older brothers direction, I rolled my eyes. "I totally bust into random songs all the time!"

"Uh huh . . . and when was the last time you did that?" Nick asked calling my bluff.

I smirked. "As a matter of fact, I sang in the shower earlier today! You didn't hear my rousing rendition of 'I Will Survive'?"

"Can't say that I did . . ." Nick said as Joe butted in.

"Nicholas . . ." Joe started, "You have no room to talk."

My eyes went wide as I picked up on Joe's hints. "When did he randomly burst into song?"

"This morning he was singing 'Sugar Sugar' by the Archies in the kitchen while he was waiting for the coffee to finish brewing." Joe smirked as Nick's cheeks reddened.

"And what brought on this little musical number that I am so sad to have missed?" I questioned almost cursing the fact that I did not get up early.

Nick shrugged before pulling Cat closely to his side, "Just had it stuck in my head for some reason."

"Pffft! Oh please! Sugar Sugar by the Archies? It's your song!" I teased rolling my eyes, Nick cocked a brow in confusion.

"What?"

"You are my candy girl and you got me wanting you...I just can't believe the loveliness of loving you..." I said quoting some lyrics from the song, "you are totally smitten and singing about it."

"Awwwwwwwww" Cat cooed as Nick's cheeks reddened again but he made no attempt to deny my accusation.

"And now that we have snubbed Nick's rant about random outbursts of singing...we can continue the movie." Joe said pushing play again on the remote.

"Little cheeks, little teeth, everything around me is....little...If I wring little necks surely I would get an acquittal!" Joe sang along to the movie in his best impersonation of Ms. Hannigan, which I must say he had perfected over the years.

"Your Ms. Hannigan is very impressive Joseph," mused Cat, "You really capture the essence of a bitter sex deprived drunk."

"Well...ya know..." Nick teased.

"HEY!" I said sticking up for Joe, a smirk of appreciation tugging at his lips. "He is NOT a drunk!" both Cat and Nick burst into laughter.

"You are all SO hilarious," Joe said rolling his eyes.

"Aww poor Joe..." I mocked.

"He needs a special hug..." added Cat before bursting into a fit of giggles at her own joke, Nick and I trying our hardest to keep our composure...unsuccessfully.

"That's it...let it all out...are we done now...ok, back to the movie," Joe diverted everyone's attention to Ms. Hannigan's shenanigans on the television.

As the end scene started to roll I let out a fake yawn dropping my head to the pillow. Nick looked over at me with concern. "You tired baby girl?"

"Maybe a little." I said with a shrug.

Nick motioned to my kit. "How about you check just to see where you are?"

Grabbing my black case, I dug through getting the necessary supplies. Pricking my finger, I pressed my pinkie until a bead of blood appeared and fed it into the test strip, three sets of eyes following my every move.. "You can go back to your previously scheduled activities. I've got this."

A lovely 237 showed up on my meter as I took a deep breath. "What is it Cee?"

Nick's voice broke my concentration as I smiled. "Not too bad. It's 135 . . . I'm good."

"Good number for you to go to bed as well." Nick said as I nodded.

Hmmmm . . . . with my elevated blood sugar I would be up for a while, there was no way that I was going to do a correction at night to try to bring myself down and chance dropping too low...and what better to occupy my nightly hours than to sneak out and see Josh? Letting out another fake yawn I kissed Joe and Nick goodnight before heading up the stairs...within an hour they would all be in bed for the night and I could make my escape.

Around midnight I made my way down the stairs and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, finding all the lights out and the house silent as expected I walked back upstairs and grabbed my purse, shoving my water, testing kit, and a tube of glucose tabs inside I flung it over my shoulder before tucking my decoy pillows under my blankets and shimmying down the tree.

Walking onto Chilton grounds I made my way to the boys dormitory building before pulling my phone from my pocket and quickly dialing Josh. "Hey, what is your room number?" I spouted as soon as the line picked up.

"424..." Josh responded confused and I quickly hung up the phone making my way up the stairs to the fourth floor and knocking on his door, he opened it and cocked a brow. "Well, hello..."

"Well, don't be rude Josh," I playfully scolded, "Invite me in."

He smirked before stepping aside and gesturing for me to enter. "I thought girls weren't allowed in the boys dorms."

"Since when do you care about following the rules?" I challenged.

"Since I found a reason to stick around," Josh said simply giving me that devilish smirk he seemed to have perfected.

I smiled, "We could go on a walk if you would like...you still have some time before campus curfew."

"Sounds good," he said returning my smile, "let me just grab my coat," Josh grabbed his coat and threw it on before opening the door, "after you." I smiled and stepped out, Josh pulling the door closed behind him, "So, where are we going?"

"Have you ever been to the west courtyard?"

Josh shook his head, "Nope."

I smiled and hooked my arm in his before taking off and pulling him along, "Well then, to the west courtyard we go."
