-CeCe's POV-

I woke suddenly with a searing pain in my ass. My hand instinctively flew back to try to shield my freshly belted skin from further attack as I opened my eyes to see Nick.

"Get up!" He seethed, walking toward my bedroom door, looking overly irritated.

"OUCH!" I whined, tears already in my eyes."Why did you do that?"

"I have been yelling for you for the past ten minutes," he barked, "Apparently you forgot to plug your alarm clock back in. You are running late, get up." He demanded as he walked out of my room, closing the door behind him. I stood from my bed, unsuccessfully attempting to rub away the pain from the newly rekindled fire across my butt.

-Nick's POV-

I closed the door and made my way to the kitchen, I was not in the mood for CeCe and her usual shenanigans this morning. After chasing lows with carbs all day yesterday, I woke up at 4 am hot, thirsty, and desperately needing to pee...three sure signs that my carb loading had come back to bite me in the ass. I was overly tired and fueled only with sugar-rage. It was not a good morning to test my patience.

"How was your date?" Joe asked, looking up from his paper as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a water from the fridge.

"Good," I said with a smirk. "Really good, we are going out again on Friday."

"Nice," Joe said with a smile, "She made it to second date status. You must really like her."

"I do, and more importantly, CeCe likes her." I added. Joe's eyes widened in shock, and with good reason, CeCelia hated the girls both Joe and I had dated in the past.

"Wow, that's different." He said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"She is different," I corrected. "Older..."

Joe cocked a brow. "Older, huh?" he said with a smirk, "How much older?"

"33" I stated plainly, taking a sip of my water.

"Ten years, your senior," Joe said, a smile playing on his lips, "Get it, Nicholas." I smiled and shook my head.

"She wants to take CeCe out today after school," I said, pouring CeCe a bowl of cereal and setting it on the counter. "Get to know her..." I added.

"Sounds like a plan, Jim said it would do her some good to have some girl time." Joe said, folding his paper; I nodded as CeCe walked into the kitchen looking overly grumpy, no doubt a direct result of me giving her a swat to wake her up. "You look happy this morning," Joe noted.

"Thanks to Nick's little wake-up call," She sneered, grabbing a book from the counter and shoving it into her backpack.

"Start being more responsible, and I won't have to wake you up." I said dismissing her irritation.

"You didn't have to swat me!" she countered."I'm still sore from last night."

"It worked, didn't it?" I piped, showing no remorse for my choice to swat her recently belted behind.

"Eat your breakfast," Joe instructed, hoping to break up our heated little morning spat as he pushed the bowl toward CeCe.

She blocked the bowl with her hand, her face turning sour. "I can't eat."

Seriously, it would be nice if for just one morning she didn't fight us over every little thing...are all teenage girls like this, or is CeCelia just a special breed of pain in the ass? I have grown overly tired of her lack of listening skills as of late.

"How about we skip this breakfast tango, and for once, you just do as you're told!" I barked.

CeCe's brows knit together in frustration. "You're grumpy!" she accused.

"And you never listen!" I countered.

"ENOUGH!" Joe interjected, "BOTH of you back off each other, right now, I mean it." I ran my hand over the back of my neck in frustration before nodding to Joe, damn, nothing like being reprimanded by your big brother to remind you to check your attitude...fucking diabetes.

(Cece's POV)

"You have a date tonight with the candy shop girl." Joe said as he opened his door and stepped out onto the campus parking lot, I quickly removed my seatbelt and hopped out of the car, slinging my backpack over my shoulder.

"So, I can date, but I'm only allowed to date girls..." I said with a nod, Joe cocked a brow in my direction, obviously not appreciating my humor. "What? I'm just trying to clarify the rules." I said with a smirk.

"We are making an exception, I think it will be good for you," he said, clicking the lock on his keys. "Please behave yourself." I rolled my eyes before walking away, I was getting a little sick of being treated like I was some sort of unruly hellion.

I walked in to find Matt leaning against my locker. He smiled as I approached, and I nearly died. Good God, he was sexy.

"Morning, beautiful," he said as I came to stop in front of him.

"Morning," I said with a small smile. Matts smile faded.

"What's wrong, babe?" he questioned, stepping aside so I could get into my locker.

I shrugged. "Crappy night, crappy morning, and I feel like crap."

Matt cocked a brow. "Wow, that's a lot of crap." A smile played on my lips as I broke into a giggle.
