I sat on the couch, Joe sitting on the coffee table in front of me, Nick to my right. 15 minutes into our "boy talk," and I was already saying a silent prayer that God would smite me down and save me. Two things I was absolutely certain of:
1) I was going to KILL Morgan for her poor timing. She was supposed to show up unannounced and save me. Where the hell was she??

and 2) I would never...I repeat NEVER be able to un-hear the question that just left Nick's lips.

"NICK!" I squealed, shoving my face into a pillow and praying for the strength to suffocate myself.

"Is that a no?" Nick questioned concerned.

"NO! That is not a no," I answered my face, still buried in the pillow.

"So.....that's a yes?" Joe questioned.

I sat up and ran my hands through my hair. "Yes ok...yes I am a virgin, I have only had a boyfriend for twenty-four hours just how slutty do you think I am?"

"That's what we are trying to determine," Nick said with a smirk. I replied by hitting him in the face with the pillow. "You are a pig."

"All boys are pigs, that's why we are concerned," Nick countered grabbing the pillow from me to stop my attack.

I buried my face in my hands. "I've already had the sex talk with Mom alright. It came with the period talk, I'm good...I'm fairly certain the details haven't changed."

Joe sighed. "Look CeCe, this isn't the most comfortable conversation for us either, we were both hoping you would be much older before you decided to date."

"Yea, like 30," Nick added with a playful nudge to my arm.

I rolled my eyes. "Matt isn't a pig, he is nice and respectful and sweet and he really likes me and I have no intentions of having sex anytime soon so could we just skip past this uncomfortable part and get to the part where you give me permission to go on a date this weekend."

"Where are you going on this date?" Joe asked.

I shrugged. "Matt mentioned there was a party."

Nick cocked a brow. "What kind of party?"

"Ya know, the usual...drugs, hookers..." I said shooting Nick a smirk.

"Will there be drinking?" he asked without skipping a beat.

I cocked a brow. "I love how I say drugs and hookers and you completely dismiss it to ask me if there will be alcohol."

"Cecelia..." Nick said signaling we were done with playing around and back to serious talk time.

"I don't know Nicky, I've never been to a party, we won't be drinking if that is what you are asking."

Then, just as I'm waiting to hear if I can go to the party with Matt, the front door opens and Morgan walks in lugging her backpack that looks to weigh a good 40 pounds...curse that girls timing all to hell...I'ma kick her.

"Ohmygosh CeCe I need your help...this paper is going to be the death of me...I am completely unable to even write a paragraph without it sounding like some ridiculous Dr. Seuss book...If I fail this paper my parents are going to freak out and ground me for like a million years...which means I will never get a boyfriend...I'm gunna be one of those old lonely ladies that talks to her 300 cats." Morgan ranted impressively in one breath.

Joe chuckled. "It's no wonder you are having trouble with your paper, your sentences alone involve four unrelated topics and are about a paragraph long."

"He is mocking me...real nice Joe...that's very professorish of you, thank you so much" Morgan whined.

"ProfessorISH?" Joe said cocking a brow. "Maybe you should go help her with her paper CeCe." He said with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes and stood up from the couch grabbing Morgan by her sleeve and pulling her to my room and shutting the door.

"You should be a freaking actress, that was brilliant, although you are about 10 minutes too late," I said playfully shoving her.

Morgan did a dramatic courtesy. "Thank you, I try. I'm sorry I am late, Jason came over after basketball and...ANYWAY, sorry I'm late," Morgan said with a smirk.

I cocked my brow. "Don't make me get the boys to come give you the sex talk woman...so help me I will do it," I threatened giving her a smile.

"PFFFT! I'm still dating him on the sly because of my parents' no dating till after you graduate rule, I'm not quite to the sex part but I'll keep you posted thanks."

"That has got to be the most ridiculous rule I have ever heard of and please don't mention that around the boys, I don't want them getting any ideas," I said sitting down on my bed and grabbing my phone to text Matt. "So what do you need help with?" I asked after sending a text.

Morgan grabbed a large book out of her bag and tossed it on the bed. "Psychology paper on whatever I want, which has proven to be my first issue, I cannot flippin decide on a topic."

I rolled my eyes and flipped open her book to a random page, "The Influence of Television on Child Development....there, now you have a topic."

Morgan cocked a brow. "Ok, sometimes you make things look too easy and it disturbs me."

The next morning I was sitting in the kitchen struggling to stay awake when Nick walked in.

"Morning," he said plugging a test strip into his meter and doing his morning check.

"Mmmrrmmph," I replied.

I was far too tired for actual words.

Nick chuckled, it was a well-known fact that none of us Jonas kids were too fond of mornings, well, except for Kevin who found getting up early "refreshing" and claimed that it gave him time to accomplish so much more in his day.
I still maintain that he is adopted.

"You look exhausted, baby girl. What time did you go to bed?" Nick questioned, taking a bite of a cliff bar.

"Early enough," I said with a yawn, "it's just every time I fell asleep, I kept having the same insane dream."

"What was the dream?" he asked.

"I kept reliving that boy talk over and over and all you could say was 'Are you a virgin' and 'I don't even like cheese'....you were wearing these weird clown clothes and you talked in this odd chipmunk voice it was super creepy."

Nick cocked a brow. "That's ridiculous," he said, "I do too like cheese."

I rolled my eyes, "I love how that is what you found to be ridiculous."

Nick grabbed a yogurt from the fridge and slid it over to me.

I crinkled my nose. "S'too early to eat."

Nick rolled his eyes and peeled the lid off and grabbed a spoon before setting them on the counter in front of me "Eat" it was more of an instruction than a request, I groaned in protest before picking up the spoon and taking a bite.
---------------------------------------------------
I sat with Matt in the courtyard at lunch, tapping my foot anxiously waiting for Morgan to arrive.

"So, question Miss Jonas," Matt said, shooting me a smirk that nearly got him tackled.

"Yes, Mr. Thomas?" I replied cocking a brow.

"What exactly are you planning to do when you find out who stole your paper?" I sighed realizing I didn't have a clue.

"I don't have any plans, I just want to know who it is at this point."

Truth was I would love to tackle the girl on sight and beat her ass and not in the way Joe would be either. I might be small but I have grown up with three older brothers, be not deceived by my size people, I could most definitely carry myself in a fight. This of course would be incredibly stupid seeing as how all three of my previously mentioned brothers are professors here on campus, it would take MAYBE 3 minutes for the news of the fight to reach at least one of them, not to mention fighting is strictly forbidden on Chilton grounds. It would not end well for me...although it might be worth it. "Id love to kick her ass" I confessed.

Matt chuckled shaking his head. "Ok Rocky."

I cocked a brow. "What? You don't think I could kick someone's ass?"

"No, not really," he admitted. "You look about as threatening as a kitten."

I scoffed. "That's what makes me so lethal...you never see it coming," I said with a smile.

"Mmmmmhmmm," Matt mocked. And I shoved his shoulder jokingly he responded by capturing my lips with his, foul play...he doesn't fight fair...but I'll let him win this time.

"Samantha-frickin-Chase!" Morgan spat startling Matt and I out of our current "fight".

The sound of that name immediately made my blood boil for three reasons:

1) Samantha Chase, Morgan and I had been inseparable besties once upon a time, up until my mom and dad died to be exact, I had gone through a small rebellion shortly afterward... "Living life to the fullest" I claimed...really it was just a way to distract me from reality. Samantha's parents decided I was no longer a good influence on their precious daughter and forbade her to hang out with me anymore, which I find to be absurdly ironic seeing as how she was the worst influence by far. I never forgave her for writing me off when I needed her the most.

2) In the three years since she disbanded from our friendship she has become very popular and has used that popularity for nothing but evil...ever see the movie Mean Girls? Yea well Samantha makes Regina George look like Mother Theresa. She had made it almost a sport focusing that evil towards me...maybe because she knew how to hurt me better than almost anyone...she relished in the fact that she had that power.

3) She just happened to be Matt's Ex

"Of course," I said rolling my eyes. "Of course it was Sam, why wouldn't it be her?" I said balling my fists up and letting out a growl.

"Are you sure it was Samantha?" asked Matt and I immediately whipped my head around to face him.

"Are you defending her?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"No, its just...Sam is good at school, not defending, it's just true...why would she steal your paper?" Matt asked.

"Because she could...because she knew it would get me into trouble...because she is evil...take your pick," I said scooting away from Matt fully irritated.

"Oh I'm sure" said Morgan "She handed a paper in this morning, Joe threw it into the trash in front of the entire class and sent her to his office, she got it good too, you could pretty much hear the belt every time it landed. When he came back out he picked her desk up with one hand and set it next to his in the font of the class, she sat there crying the rest of the period while everyone watched...I almost felt bad for her and then I remembered what a vapid bitch she is to us."

Samantha Chase...the little cheater...maybe I would beat her ass...I'd say it was high time.
