A/N: As usual, I would recommend putting the video on loop.

Near the ruins, there was a bump in the road. She was thrown upwards some before she impacted the bottom of the wagon again. Water splashed all around her, and she was getting tired of getting soaked. She coughed out some more water before she peered over the edge of the wagon. They were now entering the ruins.

Sitting up a bit straighter, she rested her hands on the edge of the wagon and looked out over it. She couldn't see out too far since the moon and stars were partially blocked out by the storm. Only thin rays of the lights broke through the thick storm clouds. The rain continued to pour down on them, but her companion didn't seem to mind at all. Then again, he's the one who brought a wagon full of water in the first place.

Once they were a safe distance from the road and far in the ruins, he stopped the wagon and hopped down into a pool of water. He went into another before detaching the horse from the cart. "You're free to go," he spoke quietly to the animal. The male hit the horse hard on its side, and it started to run off.

He watched it dart off until he turned his attention back to her. The male moved to stand closer to one of the beams of moonlight. His hands reached up to his cloak hood, and he steadily pulled it down. Long ink-colored black locks fell past his past shoulders while the rest of his hair was secured behind his back. Prominent brows, in the same hue as his locks, complimented his dark blue eyes. A small smile fell upon his lips while a chiseled jaw line made him all the more attractive.

The black cloak cascaded down his broad shoulders and down his left arm as he held his hand out to her. She was embarrassed to take it; she was ashamed of her appearance. Her (h/l) (h/c) tangled, her dress torn, her arms scratched and overall she was a mess. This man was stunning in his appearance, and she wished to hide in the shadows. Even though the rain plastered strands of his hair to his face, he held an otherworldly handsomeness to him. Heat had invaded her cheeks the moment that he had pulled down his hood. "(F/n) come. Take my hand. You'll catch a cold if we don't get you out of the rain," he mentioned, his gentle smile still on his lips.

With immense hesitation, she reached forward with her right hand and took his hand. She stood up carefully in the water and walked towards him. Her heart hammered in her chest with each step. When she stepped out of the back of the wagon, he released her hand and rested both of his hands on her waist. More heat flooded to her cheeks, and she thought that they would burst. He lifted her up and then down before he set her gently on the ground. The male took her right hand in his left again before turning the other way towards the pool. She summoned up her courage, however, and tugged back on his hand. "Wait, I need to ask you some questions."

Glancing over his left shoulder, he answered, "They can wait until we get you out of this weather, and we get those scratches taken care of."

Being bold, she shook her head. It was hard to resist that harmonious voice of his, but she forced herself to. "At least answer one of them," she murmured, meeting his gaze. She nearly got lost in his dark blue eyes, and she quickly looked away.

Facing her some more now, she heard him sigh, but he remained quiet. She figured that he was agreeing to her request. "Will you tell me your name before we go any further?"

"That's a fair request." To her surprise, she watched him kneel on his right leg and place his right hand over his heart. He dipped his head some before meeting her gaze once more. "The name that I was given at birth is Tarhuinn, my chosen."

Chosen? She didn't know what he meant by that, but she wished that he would stop bowing before her. (F/n) had never been given such treatment before, and she didn't know how to handle it. To make matters worse, her knees desired to collapse, especially after that nickname he had utilized. It was as if her whole body wished to fall forward and into him.

Seeming to notice her condition, he swiftly stood up and rested his right hand on her left shoulder to support her. "Come. I will take you somewhere that will allow you a peaceful slumber." She couldn't resist him as he now faced away from her and headed further into the pool of water. Their two hands were still intertwined while they went deeper into the liquid. She didn't understand how this was better than staying in the rain, though.

At a certain point, she could tell that the water went deeper than she could imagine. They stood on the edge of the dark depths, and he squeezed her hand in reassurance. "Trust me," he whispered soothingly to her, and she couldn't even utter any protest. She nodded her head before she felt water surround her. Before her mind could process what was happening to her, she was pulled in, and her face was pressed to his chest. His feet kicked in the water at an inhuman speed while his arms wrapped themselves around her torso. (F/n) didn't know how much longer she would be able to hold her breath, and she gripped his cloak some.

Lungs crying out for oxygen, she tightened her hold on him and shut her eyes tight. As consciousness slipped from her, air greeted her deprived lungs. She coughed several times as she did her best to draw in the air. Her breathing was ragged as she was lifted and set down upon smooth rock. Dull light made itself apparent when she opened her (e/c) eyes and wiped the water from her face.

(F/n) found herself in what appeared to be a cave. There was a passageway to the left and right behind her. Iron lanterns hung from the ceiling and gave off the faint light. In front of her stood Tarhuinn, but she noticed that he was standing on a rock ledge in the water. Did he need to be in water to survive?

Her eyes did another scan of the area, and she saw that there were water walkways alongside the stone paths. Looking back to him, she jumped some since he had moved closer to her. A light chuckle hit her ears, and she was instantly reminded of relieving ocean waves. "Forgive me. I didn't mean to startle you. Follow me, and I'll take you to our room."

Freezing, she stared at him, and she now felt her whole face burning. "Wh-what?" she stuttered out as her ears began to heat up as well.

"Well, I suppose that you don't want to return to the surface and back to the village," he remarked, confusion written on his face. There was also a hint of warning in his voice as if she were to say the wrong answer, she would be silenced. It was intimidating, and she shook her head rapidly. "I'm pleased to hear that. Now, come along."

Picking herself up to her feet, she trailed behind him on the stone path. She could hear the water sloshing around in her boots, and she made a mental note to take them off as soon. Still, she didn't think that he understood the problem at hand. (F/n) barely knew the male, and they were already sharing a room. Of course, she had been hearing him call her name for twelve years, which led to another question. How was he able to whisper her name to her like that? There were just so many questions, and even more sprouted as the evening carried on.

Eventually, they came to face a stone wall; however, there was a door in the water path. He took off a chain necklace, which had a key on the end. The male inserted it into the lock and stepped aside, motioning for her to go first. She jumped into the water, and he helped to balance her. (F/n) thanked him before she headed into the room.

When she saw a stone floor again, she climbed up and surveyed the room. It was an interesting space to say the least. The water path encircled the perimeter of the room, eventually flowing into the rock walls and taking a hidden path. Another water path, in the center of the room, flowed into the main one. In the middle of this center path, a peculiar bed rested. Its right side was flat and adorned with pillows and blankets. On the left, the bed was slanted downward so that water lapped against the base. A mere pillow lay at the top, and it didn't slide down due to a thin rock shelf below it.

Moving her gaze over to the right-hand side of the room, she saw a three-drawer dresser and cupboard with toiletries. A little ways away from it was a room carved out in the stone, with a wooden door that blocked what was inside. She assumed it to be a restroom. Next to the door was a bathtub carved out of the stone, and a waterfall flowed into it before the stream of water flowed into the wall and disappeared.

Hearing movement behind her, she saw Tarhuinn walk with ease through the water and into the main path. He sat upon the non-slanted bed, dipping his feet in the water, and began to untie his cloak. "There are medical supplies in that cupboard over there. Will you grab them and bring them to me? I'll tend to your wounds, then," he stated, peering up at her. A smirk touched his lips. "Or, do you wish to watch me undress?"

"N-no, I'm go-going," she replied quickly, her words stumbling in the process. A light laugh escaped his lips as she ran over to the cupboard, jumping over the water path in the process. She opened the cupboard door, and her fingers fumbled to pick up the bandages and what she assumed to be salve. Returning to him, he signaled for her to take a seat next to him. She did so as he cast his cloak onto the slanted bed. He took her right arm in his hands and began to work.
