You heard some beeping sounds and indecipherable voices. Your eyes fluttered open and you saw creamy walls, not peeling or dirty, just cream. The room had an undertone of bleach and the floor was just white. At the far end were windows in brown metal frames, only openable at top. Modern machines were on the side of the bed which you were laying on. No other patients were there, only you and some 2-3 people in the room talking with each other.

"Doctor when will she wake up??"

"Mam, please calm down, we did our best and she is okay. It's a good thing that you brought her before it was too late otherwise we wouldn't have been able to save her. She has lost a lot of blood. You just need to wait until she wakes up then we'll be able to confirm how she is."

"Okay..."

You recognised one of them as your mom and decided to call her with your weak voice.

"M-Mom...."

"Oh My God!! Honey, are you all right??"

"Yes mom, I'm fine....I just need water."

Your mother immediately got up and reached for the glass of water. She put an arm around your neck and lifted you slightly and made you drink the water. The other two people were a doctor and a nurse. They came and asked you if you were alright or if there was any pain you were feeling. You just nodded your head indicating that there was no problem. The doctor and the nurse left you both for some time.

"I'm just glad y/n that you are okay."

"Mom, where are the others."

"Everybody went home but jungkook is still outside. Wait!! I'll call him."

"He didn't go home."

"No honey, he just cried and cried and said that it was all his fault that you got hurt. So, he just stayed here. You took two days to wake up and he has been here since that day. Everyone told him to go home but he just wouldn't listen to anyone. He only said that he wanted to be sure that you are okay. I'm gonna go and call your father and jungkook's family and inform them that you are okay. Until then I'm sending jungkook inside."

You only nodded in response.
After some time jungkook came inside the room with a bright smile on his face. You saw his face that had big dark circles and weak eyes indicating that he didn't get enough sleep for the last two days.

"Y/n-ah, I'm so so so glad that you are okay. You don't know how happy I am."

You smiled at him in response and told him to hug you.

"You'll not hurt if I hug you?"
You only chuckled at his cuteness. You spread your hands towards him and he immediately hugged you and gave you a sweet peck on your cheeks.

"Kookie it was not your fault so don't blame yourself....hmmm?!!"

"But you got caught when you tried to save me. He stabbed you. How can I not blame myself?!?!"

"It was just an accident Kookie."

"But-"

"Shhhh; now stop blaming yourself otherwise I'll never talk to you."

"No no y/n, please don't say this....I'll not say anything. ok?"

You both stayed in the same position for a long time not saying anything, just enjoying each others company.
You both were interrupted when your parents and jungkook's parents came rushing inside and asked you about your health. You just nodded and smiled in response. Everyone was happy that you were safe. Lastly, you and jungkook looked at each other and exchanged smiles.

3 months later

It was a bright sunny morning, you and jungkook were playing in the park making castles out of the sand and laughing together.

"Kookie-ah, do you remember when you asked me to marry you when we grow up??"

"Yes y/n, I remember but you never gave me an answer to that."
Jungkook said pouting cutely.
You just cooed at his cuteness and gave him a slight pinch on his cheeks.
Jungkook just glared at you and tried to detach your hands from his face. You removed your hands from his face and after a long sigh, you said.

"If you'll treat me to my favourite ice-cream every day then I will marry you."

"Really y/n????"
Jungkook asked his eyes twinkling with happiness.

"Yes, Kookie."
You said smiling brightly at him.

Suddenly jungkook hugged you without a warning. He gave you a bone-crushing hug and it was getting difficult for you to breathe.

"I'm so happy y/n. I Love You Y/n.
You are my y/n and I Love You Soooo Much. "

You chuckled at his cuteness.
"I Love You too Kookie."
It didn't matter that much to you when you said these words....hell, you didn't know what this "Love" word means and how much weight this simple yet beautiful word carries. You were just a 9-year-old kid tho but for jungkook, it was the best thing and he engraved your words in his heart forever.
