Chapter 2

RECAP:

My Parents laughed, " They wont find you both. You guys are going to practically be under house arrest for the next few days so that wont be a problem".

I couldn't hold my excitement any longer; I was like a little kid who just got told Christmas came early

" Ari! It's going to be like one big sleepover! Wooohhhhooo!" I shouted and gave Ari a huge hug, crushing myself against his hard abs.

Aaron chuckled, and hugged me back, " So what are we up to first Ella bear?"

His blondish, brown hair falling down his forehead slightly as he leaned down.

" Movie Marathon!" and we both ran past our parents and into the sitting room.

Once we were on the sofas the choice came down to the battle of the best:

Spiderman or Batman. Naturally I was supporting the super sexy Christian Bale in The DarkNight movies and Ari had the deluded notion that the Spiderman trilogy is cooler.

No Way.

" Spiderman is so un cool - I mean he wears spandex!" I argued, jumping up to try and grab the sets of DVD's Aaron was holding above his head, infuriatingly out of my reach.

Aari looked shocked " Ella Bear Spidey does not wear spandex he wears his super spidey suit and it's "

"Totally made of spandex and he even makes it at home - I mean how budget can you get?" I interrupted him, still jumping for the DVD's.

Damn why does he have to be so tall?

Urghhh!

" Homemade! Well at least he doesn't hang out in a creepy dark cave making fake plastic wings to fly with like Batman" Ari retorted, still waving the DVD's above his head teasingly.

" Please Spidey lives with his grandma's house and Bruce Wayne owns half of Gotham city and a huge mansion. He's soo kickass he's allowed to be a tad eccentric. Yet another reason why we should watch Batman!" I argued, sticking my tongue out in protest for good measure.

Ari suddenly broke into a slow smile, his crystal blue eyes glinting mischievously " Hmm, why are we even arguing Ella Bear? after all I am holding the DVD's that you can't reach!" He said cockily while I tried one last time to jump up and get them.

Much to his amusement.

A little too much if you ask me.

I huffed, and then a spark of genius hit me like a lightening bolt.

Hmmm.... I bet if I..... He's standing right in front of the sofa.... All I need to do is...

Then I took a few steps back, 1,2,3,4,5 .... As I moved backwards I kept my eyes on Ari who has worry and confusion flitting across his totally perfect face.

He wouldn't see this coming.

" Ella Bear... What are you doing? Why are you stepping backwards? Are you gonna do what I think your gonna do....." Ari asked hesitantly, lowering his arms slightly, bracing himself as he clocked on to my plan....

I smiled " Yep Ari I think I am." I said slowly and charged towards him smiling at his sweet confused face. His confused face has never changed - it's one of the sweetest things.

As I ran towards him I could see Ari's blue eyes widen and a huge smile erupt on his face. I went headfirst and tackled him backwards onto the sofa so I was sitting over him, my legs securing him to the sofa on either side of his hips. I landed with an Oof , hitting his hard abs the second time that day - I was going to have to get used to this sculpted new version of Ari.

Ari had landed in a perfect seating position, carefully keeping the DVDs off the back of the sofa in his hands. I laughed, "I've got you now Ari" I taunted and reached forward to grab the DVD's from his hands, stretching on top of him to reach.

I felt my breath hitched unconsciously for a second as I realized;

1: I couldn't reach the DVD's cause his arms were so god damn long and muscular!

2 : I was not leaning over Ari, now every inch of my upper body was pressed into his warm muscled torso , My face directly over his allowing him to see my stupid reaction.

Urgghhh.

As I looked down at Ari , his blue eyes staring back at me intently and his face turning from shocked to an un readable blankness , I knew he head noticed.

SH*T

All my thoughts rushed into my head at once.

I don't even know why my body did that it was just a stupid knee jerk reaction to being pressed up against a warm washboard abs. Any normal girl would have done that.

Right?

Only I'm not ever supposed to have that reaction with Ari.

Even if it was a mistake.... Right?

It was a mistake. It was .... But what if he doesn't think so?

Oh god what if he thinks that I'm like all those crazy fan girls who stalk him?

Oh no.

As I raked my extremely hollow head for something plausible or half way excuse or distraction so he might ... forget he saw me practically sigh at touching him....

Which didn't mean ANYTHING.

" um..." I started to say quietly as Ari continued to look up at me, his crystal blue eyes boring holes into me, analysing my face, waiting for my response.

I could feel the heavy tension between us as we both sat staring at each other....

Ari's body was tense, as if he was a holding all the muscles in his body and I could see the shadow of his tanned jaw as it clenched.... His crystal eyes locked on to mine in an unreadable expression.

I felt myself unconsciously suck in my stomach muscles and bite my lip as we both sat there frozen, pressed against each other, our breath mingling.

Then just as I was about to pray for the ground to break into two and swallow me up

My mum - THANK THE LORD ABOVE!!!- Shouted from behind the kitchen glass door partition " For goodness sake why don't you watch both? Spiderman first Isobel- Aaron's just gotten back home!"

Immediately it was as if we both snapped out of it and I propelled myself forward with my legs, grabbing the Spider man DvDs and jumping off the sofa. I turned away from Ari and practically skidded over to the DVD player, inwardly cursing the slow loading time it took for the DVD to load....

" Uh yeah - I guess you won and were watching Spiderman, even though he totally wears red spandex and does that weird flicky thing to get his web to come out..."

I said quickly as I fiddled with the DvD player, trying not to ramble as shamefully as I was..... Oh why cant I just stop talking? ...

"So now we've got three movies to sit through until Batman..." I continued, realizing that I could hear the familiar sound of adverts rolling onto the screen and so I had to turn around ... And face Ari.

I stood up from the DvD player and turned to find Ari exactly were I'd left him.

He hadn't moved a muscle, though he had obviously ran his hands through his hair cause it was slightly messed up...

I quickly walked over to the sofa, sitting next to him curling my legs up but leaving half a body of room between us. We sat there for a second not moving, Ari's jaw wasn't clenched anymore and he seemed visibly more relaxed. Though he still had that unreadable face he'd had on earlier.... I've never seen that before, and I know all Ari's looks. Or I thought I did.

So he was just going to ignore it.

Ok. That's good right.

The just as the opening sequence just as the opening sequence came on Ari leaned over to me, wrapping his arm around my waist and moving me, closing the gap I'd made, so I was leaning against his shoulder like usual when we had movie marathons.

Don't mention it Ari.... Don't make it weird.... I prayed silently.

And then leant over so his face was next to my ear, I could feel his hot breath tickling my neck as he whispered " I told you Spidey beats Batboy any day Ella Bear" into my ear.

I could almost hear the smile in his voice and I felt my whole body relax and snuggle into him as the first scenes of one of Ari's all time favorite comic movies came on.

It was number eight on the 'what's hot' list last time I checked!!!!
