IT TURNS OUT Parker really did tear his ACL. He didn't take it very well, insisting the doctors were wrong. He's been on crutches for the past 2 days, has to wear this bulky knee brace, and can't play sports for the next 6 months. I feel terrible. I've been helping him a lot, around the house and at school. He's been sulking. Understandable. It's Saturday now, a day that Parker would usually dedicate to soccer. But today, he's stuck with me. Lounging on the couch, eating ice cream and watching sports, which wasn't my first choice.

I lick the spoon, turning to him. His brows are pinched together as he concentrates on the soccer game, completely still apart from the rapid movement of his eyes following the screen.

"That was a foul!" he jumps, throwing his arms up and instantly wincing in pain.

I smile. "You know they can't hear you, right?"

Parker turns to me, the corners of his mouth turning up.

"Alright smart-ass." he shakes his head, turning back to the screen.

Silence.

"I'm bored." I sigh.

"Do you wanna watch something else?" he asks, without taking his eyes off the screen.

I lay back on the couch, swinging my legs up and outstretching them so they're rested on Parker. He turns to me as I lick the spoon again, his eyes landing on my mouth, before quickly turning back to the TV.

"Stop it Kinsley." he says with soft assertion.

I frown, making to move my legs, but his hand grips my thigh. Parker leans back, his head resting on the back of the couch as he blows out a sigh.

"What?" I frown, dropping my spoon in the ice cream tub and discarding it on the coffee table.

His chest rises slowly, falling just as slow as he closes his eyes. "I told you, you can't look at me like that."

I pull my legs back towards myself now, crossing them.

"You always say that, but you never say why." I huff.

Parker's head lolls to the side as he looks over at me. I watch him while he studies me, his eyes lingering on my lips a moment longer than the rest of my face.

"Come here." he says softly.

My heart beat quickens, but I comply, crawling across the couch until I'm beside him, a safe distance away, sitting on my legs. Parker doesn't say anything, simply holding out a hand. I narrow my eyes, but place mine in his. He pulls me forward in a swift movement, and places my hand on his crotch. I gasp at the shock of the quick move, before realising what he means. He's hard. Like, solid.

"That's why." he says, letting go of my hand and turning back to the TV.

I'm not sure what to say. But what I do know is I want his attention on me. Before I can think logically enough to stop, I find myself straddling his lap, my arms draped over his shoulders.

Parker looks between my eyes, his perfect lips parted. I bring my hand up to his face, running my finger across his bottom lip. He hesitates slightly, before leaning forward, the warmness of his lip on my thumb being replaced by the warmth of his tongue as he guides it in to his mouth, sucking a little. I suck in a breath. Well, I think I do. I'm not entirely sure that I'm breathing.

Parker's hand slides up my back, making me shiver, before it reaches my nape. He pushes his fingers in to my hair, pushing my head toward him so he can lean up. He kisses me, tongue first. Deep, warm, wet, consuming. I bite his lip, pulling at it. His free hand moves to my waist, bringing me closer and the sensation forces me to bite down a little harder, making him groan.

His lips on mine feel so right. Like a calculator answer. Like two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Like a key and a lock. Parker pushes up against me and a moan escapes from my mouth in to his, only making him kiss me deeper. I push my hands through his hair, pressing our bodies together as if they aren't already connected. I want him to be a part of me. I want to feel him. I want him inside of me.

"Parker..." I breathe against his lips.

"Yes, princess?"

"I-"

My words are cut off as the front door knocks.

"Are you fucking kidding me." Parker, squeezes his eyes shut, whining as his head falls back.

I clear my throat, getting off his lap and replacing my presence with a couch pillow.

"I'll get it." I say, my voice hoarse.

As I pull the door open, I thank the lords that I was the one to open it. Mr Ashford stands in front of me, his hand wrapped around Jackson's.

Him and Margot came to the agreement that he'd have Jack on weekends, picking him up on Friday after school and bringing him back on Saturday afternoons. She doesn't want Jack to be to unsettled, but she also doesn't want him in the house anymore.

"Hello Elena." he says briefly as Jack walks in past me.

I can't help but glance at Parker. He hasn't turned around, which is probably for the best. He's not really in fighting shape with a torn ligament and a hard-on.

I press my lips together, nodding once. "Hello."

Mr Ashford looks past me. "See you next week Jackson."

"Bye Dad." Jack glances up briefly from taking off his shoes, smiling.

With that, he turns on his heels, walking back down the steps to the driveway and getting in his car. I push the door shut.

"Hey Jackyyy." I grin as I turn around. I must say I do miss him when he's gone.

Jack grins equally as wide, his hands behind his back.

I frown. "What's that?"

"Close your eyes." he says vaguely.

I glance at Parker leant on the back of the couch who is watching us now, but he simply shrugs, even though he's smiling too.

I close my eyes.

"Hold out your hands." Jack instructs.

If it's a spider I swear to god I'll scream. Nonetheless, I hold out my hands.

Jackson places something big in my hands, and if I were to guess I would say it's a canvas.

"Okay... open them!" he says excitedly.

I open my eyes and study the painting before me, my grin growing wider. I can't quite make it out, but I love when Jackson paints for me either way.

"What is it?" I turn the canvas to the side, inspecting it.

Jack huffs, as if I'm literally stupid for not figuring it out.

"It's you!"

As soon as he says it, I begin to put together the pieces. The dark eyes and tanned skin, the red lips, light freckles.

I frown.

"Why do I have no hair?"

Jackson looks left and right, almost comically. "I didn't have time to finish it last night."

I throw my head back, laughing as I reach down and pull Jack up in to a hug.

"Thank you Jack, I love it." I squeeze him tightly and he laughs.

"I have something else." he says as I put him down, reaching for his backpack and unzipping it.

He pulls out a large, black, green eyed... cat?

"Dad got me another build-a-bear." he says proudly.

"Aw, it's so cute!" I take it as he hands it to me. "What is it?"

Both Jackson and Parker gasp this time, looking at me as if I just murdered their grandma.

"It's Toothless." Jackson says in a duh tone.

"Yeah, but what is it?" I repeat.

"It's Toothless." Jackson says again.

"My great grandma was toothless, but she still has a name." I point out.

The two of them look between each other as if they can't believe their ears.

I stare at both of them blankly.

"Have you never watched How To Train Your Dragon?" Parker asks.

I shake my head no, and they both gasp again.

"What is that?" I say in exasperation.

"Come. Right now." Jackson takes my hand, pulling me as forcefully as his little body can manage over to the couch.

"We're gonna watch it. There's no way you can be a part of this family without having seen it at least twelve times." Parker finally switches the channel, turning on Netflix.

The DreamWorks intro plays and Jack snuggles in between us. I glance at Parker, who is wholeheartedly concentrated on the TV screen.

Smiling, I rest my head on his shoulder. I feel him look at me before he wraps his arm around me, pulling me in close.
