Taehyung POV

Running. That was all that I was currently thinking about, run. I was focused, wanting to win, determined to win. Currently, I was running my butt off during a soccer match for the University team. We were leading the championship, but losing this game. I must say, these are our rivals, meaning they are a strong team. I could feel it, it was going to be hard to win this game. Stop Taehyung, stop whining. I know you're tired but you need to be strong, strong for the team. Easier said than done of course, since I felt the pressure on my shoulders. I have to perform well, no, I NEED to perform well.

I got in on a scholarship since I was a talented soccer player in high school. I needed to prove myself during my first few years, but got even better with time. Now, I'm the captain of our team and need to show everyone what I'm capable of. Especially my girlfriend, Jennie. She comes to support me at every game and always motivates me to perform well. Of course, since she's the captain of the cheerleading team, she needs to be there, but it still gives me that last push that I need. Is she perfect for me? Perhaps she is, I mean, everything seems to be right. Captain of the soccer team dating the captain of the cheerleading team, it's how it should be, how everyone wants it to be.

"Taehyung focus!! Only 2 minutes left!" Jungkook shouted at me.

I looked up at the clock and it said 90 min + 2 min extra time, shit. Currently we were at a draw, but we need those 3 points, 1 isn't going to be enough. I took a deep breath and nodded my head, giving Jungkook the sign that I knew what to do. I ran as fast as I can once I saw Hoseok taking control of the ball and coming forward. Jimin ran with him and Hoseok passed him the ball. I scanned the pitch, spotting a clear spot for me to take position. Jimin saw what I was doing and acted fast, passing me the ball. I secured the pass and sprinted towards the goal whilst remaining in control over the ball. I heard the shouts and cheers from the supporters and cheerleaders, pushing me to run even faster. Now, it was just me and the goalkeeper, and believe me, I could see the fear in his eyes.

30 seconds left. I wasted no time and took my shot, watching the ball fly towards the direction of the goal. I waited in anticipation, whilst time seemed to stop for a moment. It was silent, no one was speaking, no sound was made. It felt like everyone was holding their breaths, just like me. Then, the ball hit the back of the net, just as the wistle goes off. I don't know what happened, too many cheers and screams from the crowd. Teammates jumping on top of me and cheering as if they just escaped death, it was magical. 2-1, we won.

"Everyone raise your glasses! CHEERS!!" Hoseok screamed. Causing everyone to lift their glasses of beer in the air and gulp them down in one go. I smiled, feeling a wave of euphoria wash over me. I love these guys so much, they are my brothers and my best friends. I honestly wouldn't know what to do without them, they have been there since my freshman year and never left.
Suddenly I felt two arms wrap around my shoulders, making my smile grow even wider.

"Hey baby" Jennie said whilst kissing my cheek. I turned around and pecked her lips, stroking her hair.

"You look beautiful" I said whilst staring at her dress. She scoffed and lifted my chin up, forcing me to look her in the eyes.

"My face is right here, stop looking at my body like that you horny bastard" she said clearly annoyed. I frowned, usually, she would take the compliment and shower me with love and affection, but now something was clearly wrong. She seemed to notice my confused expression and scoffed again.

"Don't pretend like you're innocent Tae" she said in a 'as a matter of fact' way. My frown became even deeper than before. What on earth did I do again?

"I saw you looking at Soyeon after the game and just now" she said whilst looking at me like I killed her cat. Soyeon, her best friend, why on earth would u even look at her when I have Jennie right in front of me? She looked down at her feet before speaking.

"I know she's pretty, but you know how this makes me feel Tae" she said with a sad expression on her face. I know what this is about, she's feeling insecure again. Jennie has the tendency to feel insecure and worthless, whilst in reality she's beautiful. She constantly needs to be told she's beautiful and amazing, but even if I tell her it's not enough. When we first started dating, she was sweet and just a little bit insecure, but over the past year the issue has become worse and worse.

This is especially an issue when it comes to Soyeon. Jennie has two absolute best friends, Lisa and Soyeon. Lisa tends to be nice and keeps more to herself whilst Soyeon always fights to be the center of attention. Soyeon makes her feel insecure and down, something I hate but have never expressed. She tends to tell Jennie how she needs to be careful since I'm wanted by every girl at University and they would do anything to take me from her. In reality, I just think she wants me for herself, but I just brush it off. This is especially not the night to be thinking about these kind of issues since I really just want to enjoy myself.

"Just stop thinking about Soyeon for once and try to enjoy yourself, you look beautiful" I said in a slightly annoyed tone, wanting to get this over with.

"But you're not denying she looks pretty?" She said. I groaned, wanting to get out of this pointless discussion. I care about Jennie, but at moments like these she really gets on my nerves. Just then I feel a arm swoop around my shoulder.

"Dude, time for a toast!! You need to speech remember?" Jungkook said, being my guardian angel.

"Jungkook we're in the middle of something here and-" Jennie says but he cuts her off.

"Too bad sweetie, we need our chief, let's go" he said, dragging me away from her. I whispered a quick thankyou to him and he nodded. He always knows what I need, no matter what situation. He's truly the best.
I lift myself up on one of the tables and shout, getting everyone's attention.

"My dear teammates and everyone gathered here tonight. Today, we barely escaped our demise, winning one of the most important games of the season" I said causing everyone to cheer.

"We noticed from the start that it wasn't going to be an easy match. We had to work hard and play hard to get this result. But here we are, celebrating our victory!" I said, earning another cheer from the crowd.

"I'm proud of everyone and their hard work today, the teammates, cheerleaders and supporters, we are one and are on the road to become champions!" I screamed from the top of my lungs. Everyone started slamming their glasses on the tables, roaring and cheering. I got off the table and hugged my teammates, getting ready for a round of beer pong.

"Tae, we need more beer, mind doing the next round?" Jimin asked me. I nodded and slapped his shoulder, earning a chuckle from him. I made my way towards the bar and got out my money. I quickly spotted Yoongi, the bar owner, and he walked up to me.

"What can I do for you captain? Congrats on the win today by the way" he casually said whilst leaning back. I chuckled at this guys behavior. He became the owner of this bar a few years ago and it's the one and only place we go to after practice and a match.

"Another round for the team please, you know how it works chief" I said, making him snicker.

"You know, beer makes you fat, perhaps you should tone it down a notch" he said whilst slapping my shoulder.

"Yoongi, I need you in the kitchen like right now, Hyejin has burned the snacks again" Seokjin said whilst getting slapped by the girl I assume is Hyejin.

"You said you wouldn't snitch me you little bitch!" She shouted before getting dragged away with Seokjin by Yoongi.

"Y/N please help the captain! He needs 23 beers" Yoongi managed to shout whilst keeping the two others from killing each other right there on the spot. Oh god, I pity him, well, just a little bit.

I looked up to the girl who was now preparing my beers and nearly choked on my salvia. I widened my eyes and looked at her from top to bottom. She had long silky hair, tied up in a high pony tail, a small but athletic physique and a beautiful skin. I was staring at her, totally staring. Most people would say it's creepy but I didn't care, she's beautiful.

She stroked the lose strands of hair behind her ears whilst placing my beers on top of a serving plate and walking up to me. Now, I was able to have a good look at her face. Her face was small and she had a cute nose with some freckles on it, her lips were thick as well as her eyebrows and she had this pink blush on her cheeks, probably from working so hard. The most beautiful thing about her were her eyes. I was drowning in them, staring into them until they would completely swallow me up. Her eyecolor was absolutely mesmerizing, as beautiful as those pictures of the universe hipster girls used to use as their backgrounds in 2013. I should probably look up those on the NASA website to compare them to her eyes they are-

"Dude you're beer is dying, and are you going to pay for it or what?" Her voice said, interrupting my thoughts. She looked annoyed, I've probably been staring for a very long time, creepy.

"You know, it's creepy to stare at people, but this is the second time you're doing it" she said chuckling at my behavior. I scratched my neck, knowing I was turning red.

"It's okay don't worry, you must be tired from the game" she said, granting me the massive opportunity to play this off in the coolest way possible.

"Y-yes t-totally you k-know" I said. You idiot, jezus.

"Right... but you still have to pay" she said pointing at the card I was holding in my hand. I chuckled and quickly swiped it.

"Thankyou for the beer Y/N" I managed to say without stuttering like a blithering idiot. I even gave her my signature smile.

"Oh god that smile is everything, but if I may ask, how did you know my name?" She asked whilst a frown appears on her face.

"Ah you see, I heard Yoongi call your name before asking you to prepare my beer" I explained.

"Oh right, of course! For a moment I thought you were a stalker, considering the stare downs you gave me earlier" she mentioned whilst laughing. That was really embarrassing wasn't is? But I don't even care, especially since I got to see her smile, her beautiful smile. How can one be so beautiful?

"Now go have your beer with your teammates, I have to get back to work and you need to drink your beer before it dies" she said waving me off.

"Oh god, Hoseok is not going to like this, especially Jungkook. I might have to prepare my funeral a little earlier than planned" I said in ultimate distress, causing her to laugh.

"I wish you the best of luck Taehyung, please be careful" she said whilst still laughing at my distressed expression.

"I will, see you around Y/N" I said whilst waving at her, almost disappointed that our little chat had to come to an end. I looked back at her once more, admiring her beauty before finally returning to my friends.

"Took you long enough Tae, what happened?" Jungkook asked whilst pouring the beer into the cups and drinking his own. Well I met the most beautiful girl I've ever seen Kook and was staring at her whilst letting our beer die.

"Yes Tae, what took you so long? I was waiting for you" Jennie said, appearing out of nowhere and earning an eye roll from Jungkook.
Yes, definitely not telling them what really happened. Definitely not.

"I had to use the restroom" I lied and moved myself away from Jennie, joining the game of beerpong. But I wasn't focused at all, because all I could focus on was the girl working behind the bar.
