"Why are we going to this party again?" I  asked into the darkness, Charlie Gray was sitting in my lap doing my eyeshadow.

"Because I'm super sad and I wanna get drunk so I can have an excuse to grope you in public "

"You've been doing just fine without excuses" I hummed and as if to prove me right, she reached around and grabbed my ass, smoothing her hand down the leather material of my pants.

"You look hot in these pants" She pecked my lips before moving back to her task.

"I look hot always" I puffed out slightly.

"That's right baby" She laughed.

"Okay you can open your eyes now" She admired the eyeshadow for a second before making direct eye contact.

"We're gonna be late" She stated matter of factly.

"Why are we gonna be late?"

"Because I'm gonna take these pants off of you now" And true to her word she popped the button on my pants and dragged my fly down slowly, still keeping eye contact.

"Come on the party's already started" Charlie looked at me through the open window of the car.

"Can I have a couple minutes? My legs are shaking" I mumbled back, slightly embarrassed at the way my legs spasmed still.

"It's been atleast half an hour" She laughed, getting back into the car and grabbing  make up removing wipes from the center console.

"It's your fault" I huffed.

"I know" She held the back of my head and moved closer to get the remnants of make up off my face.

"You ruined my makeup" I pointed out further.

"I put it on in the first place " She fired back.

"You made me cry" I tried again.

"You liked it"

I  pushed Charlie back, opening the car door to get away from her laughing only to stumble and have her laugh harder.

"You alright there?" She helped me up, her hands on my waist keeping me steady.

"That was so embarrassing" I buried my head in her shoulder to hide and she rubbed my back slowly while still laughing softly.

"There's no one out here who noticed, I mean just look at them"

She was right, the few people who were outside were either making out or throwing up, no one cared about me stumbling from a car across the road.

"We don't have to stay for long" She took my hand and led me across the street and up to the house.

"If you're not having fun just say so but you have to give it a try first"

"I will" I promised

Turns out the party was alot of fun, Charlie had a way of making people comfortable enough to let loose. We had been dancing for a long time before we maneuvered ourselves through the other gyrating bodies to get drinks.

Charlie was indeed drunk but I had been nursing a single beer all night so I could keep an eye on her and be able to drive us home after.

"Let's go outside" She practically squealed, already heading to the back door.

Whoever lived here was loaded and the backyard reflected that.

"Let's go swimming!" Charlie called happily already taking her shirt off.

"No, no swimming you're drunk" I tried to get her away from the pool edge but she wrestled her way out of my arms, losing balance in the process and tumbling into the deep end.

I waited for her to come up but she didn't seem like she had any intention of surfacing so I pulled my shoes off quickly and dove in after her. Charlie didn't resist as I pulled her to the surface.

The pool water did little to conceal her flowing tears and she  turned her face into her shoulder.

"Sorry" She said plainly.

"I'm being ridiculous, you're leaving for college not going to war" She laughed bitterly, pulling herself up to sit on the pool edge before burying her face in her hands.

I sat beside her, pulling her towards me.

"We've still got a couple weeks" I tried to cheer her up but I was sad about leaving too.

"I  know I just-" She didn't finish her sentence, shaking her head instead.

"I've never... it feels like my whole life is leaving because you're leaving.

"I just like you, I like you alot"She continued, grabbing onto my hand now.

"Begging you to stay would be selfish" She chanted to herself repeatedly.

"And I know you, you would do it because you're always putting my happiness before yours but it's time for you to do what makes you happy"

I helped her to her feet and we made our way to the car silently.

She didn't say anything until after we had dried off and slid under the sheets .

"Please don't leave me" She whispered into the darkness after we had been laying together for some time.
