Graduation had practically sneaked up on us. My dad was finally back and mom had gotten the day off to come. I hadn't seen much of Charlie Gray other than at the very beginning and when she went on stage to collect her diploma, the list of names between ours was extensive so we weren't sitting close together. But now that everything was over, I could see her making her way over accompanied by Ms.Gray and I tried desperately to not have my parents embarrass me in front of them.

"Mom that's enough pictures" I whisper yelled but she paid me no mind, continuing to click away even when I'd turned to look at Charlie Gray.

"You'll thank me for these one day" My father laughed before prying the camera gently from her hands.

"You're embarrassing her, can't you see her girlfriend's coming this way" Since Charlie was in ear shot her eyes flickered over to my parents before making their way back over to me, a beautiful smile lighting up her face.

She greeted my parents, introducing herself -as if they didn't already know who she was- then left her mom's side who was now in conversation with them and sliding up next to me.

"Hi baby" She hugged me gently to her, her arms encircling my waist and pulling me more to her.

"Hi" I whispered back suddenly breathless.

"You look amazing" She drew me at arms length, browsing over my body as if to confirm what she already knew before letting out a satisfied hum and pulling me back in to her.

"You do too" and she did, in her white spaghetti strap body con dress, she looked angelic even.

"Thank you " Charlie pressed a soft kiss to my cheek that had me blushing in the presence of our parents who were trying their best to not seem nosy and failing.

"What're you gonna do after this" She asked, smoothing her hands down my arms.

Charlie liked skinship.

"Probably go back home and relax" We'd never discussed actually doing anything after, just the event itself.

"Actually" My dad called out "We're going to dinner, all of us"

"Oh"

Sometime in the five minutes that I'd been talking to Charlie Gray, our parents had decided that dinner would be nice to get to know eachother.

"Before we leave can I get a picture of you girls together please" my mom begged.

"Mom" I whined.

"What? I said please" I rolled my eyes and Charlie Gray laughed quietly, seemingly amused with my moms antics.

"Sure" She replied, reaching out for me again and pressing a kiss to my temple just before the camera went off.

"Aw, Gia's eyes are closed in this one, how cute" Ms.Gray joined in.

I buried my flaming cheeks in Charlie's neck who laughed silently but supported my weight and ran her hands easily up and down my back.

"Okay that's enough, look at how flustered you've made her" My dad pointed out, easily snatching the camera away from my mom's hands when she turned to look at me.

The trio bickered back and forth as they made their way towards the exit.

Charlie took my hand, tugging me gently to follow our parents out to the parking lot.

The restaurant they chose was kinda fancy but gave enough privacy for the occasion.

"So Charlie, what're you planning to do now that graduation is over" My dad asked, half focused on cutting up his food.

I stiffened, coaching my parents on what topics to ask about and which to avoid hadn't even been an option because of how spontaneous dinner was.

"Dad-" I started.

"Well actually I was gonna continue swimming but I've been ill for a while so I might not be back in the water any time soon" Charlie answered easily.

Atleast she tried, but I could see the tension beneath her smile. I held her hand gently under the table and she gripped onto me to ground herself.

My dad frowned, setting his utensils down.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know"

"It's okay" Charlie reassured, playing with my fingers to calm down and without thinking I brought our interlocked hands up to press a kiss to the back of her hand before setting them back down into my lap.

I was going to focus on my food but the breathless way in which Charlie called my name had me looking up to meet her eyes.

Her mouth was slightly agape and her eyes were searching mines until she turned in her seat to hug me properly.

"If we weren't with your parents right now I would kiss you " Words whispered down my ear that had me blushing when she pulled back.

When dinner was over, I said goodbye to Charlie outside. It was odd for us to be parting like this since I usually just stayed over at her house.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow morning for the trip" She said, her voice slightly muffled from the way she was pressing into the side of my hair.

I gave her the driest look I could muster.

"We are not leaving your car in the school lot, I'll come to you"

"How about you cum for me instead?" She laughed at the expression on my face as I looked around to make sure our parents didn't hear that.

They didn't.

I slapped her slightly on the arm but all she did was wrap her arms around me and laugh harder.

"I'm just teasing, kinda" she continued, laughing when I hid my face from her view.

"I'm picking you up end of story, I'll have vanessa go and get my car" She sneaked a kiss onto my lips when nobody was looking before unwounding her arms from around me, looking like the action was painful to her.

"You're so dramatic " I rolled my eyes but really I liked the way she was with me.

"Anything for you, bye baby" She hugged me one last time before walking off to meet her mother who was waiting for her across the lot.

I watched them as they went, waving before turning to my own parents.

This time my eye roll was real.

"Let's go"

" I didn't even say anything" My dad grumbled.

"You didn't have to, your face says enough"
