Thru out my entire residency I heard comments made about me about my relationship with Chase. I didn't care about them tho. Chase and I have gone thru so much that a few comments weren't going to harm me.

I finally finished my residency. I was officially a pediatrician. It was very hard to get to this point, but I finally did it.

I was offered a job at a children's hospital and I immediately accepted. I was so honored. So far I've been working here for eight months and I love it here. The staff was so nice. Much nicer than the hospital were I did my residency.

Life at home couldn't be more perfect. I loved my boys. Life with them made me feel complete. However I did have some news.

We had another family member on the way. I was going to tell them tonight at dinner. I'm sure they are going to be as happy as I am. I always wanted a big family.

My in-laws we're visiting us tomorrow and I felt like it was the perfect time to tell everyone. Ashley was going to be here tomorrow as well. They were driving down for Alex's Birthday. He was growing up so fast. I know he's going to be a awesome big brother.

I got home from work and started on dinner. I was craving pasta so I made some fettuccine Alfredo. Alex was upstairs working on homework and Chase was due any minute.

I heard Chase walk thru the garage door and into the kitchen. He hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek. "How's my wonderful wife doing?" He asked.

I turned around and I pulled him towards me and kissed him. I broke the kiss and answered "I'm starving, how about you?" I asked him.

He lifted his eyebrow. I know that look. That's what got me pregnant in the first place. We were interrupted by Alex. "Mom is dinner ready? I'm hungry." He asked walking into the kitchen.

We pulled away "sure honey, help your dad set the table" I said.

"Come on champ" Chase said. Alex followed and helped him.

We had just finished having a pleasant dinner. "Can I be excused" Alex asked.

"Hold on a second honey. I have some news" I said.

"What news?" Chase asked curiously.

"I'm pregnant!" I said. It seemed like Chase and Alex were in shock.

They didn't say anything. they just stood there with their mouths open.

Alex was the first to respond "so I'm going to be a big brother?!" He asked all excited.

"You are honey." I said. He started to jump up and down and he ran over and hugged me.

Chase stood up from the table and picked me up and kissed me. "We're having another child?" He asked smiling at me.

"Eww, no kissing please" Alex said and ran out of the room.

I laughed and answered Chase's question, "we are in about 8 months" I said.

"When did you find out?" He asked.

"Today. I wasn't feeling well so I had some blood work done. Everything is fine by the way." I knew he was going to ask. "A pregnancy test is just a routine exam. I never expected it to be positive. A friend at work who works in gynecology did an ultrasound and everything is fine. I just wanted you two to know so we could tell everyone at the party tomorrow" I said.

Chase picked me up and spun me around then he put me down and kissed me. "I'm so happy! Extremely happy." He said.

The next day was Alex's party. He had a blast. I'm so lucky to have this little guy. At the end of the party when the guests left we told our family the news. They were so happy for us, we all hugged so many times I lost count. I was so lucky to be in this family.
