Abby

"Chase?" I cannot believe I was face to face with Chase Mathews. Mathews had gotten into Stanford two years ago. So what the hell was he doing here?

"Well, well, well. If it isn't little miss Abigail." He said. He knew I hated being called Abigail, so he would always call me that on purpose.

I stared at him dumbfounded. I stared at his gorgeous features, his dark hair, green eyes, perfect jawline and I got lost for a second. Then I snapped back into reality, "You know I don't like to be called Abigail. It's Abby, but anyways, what are you doing here Chase? I thought you were at Stanford."

"And that is why I like to call you Abigail. Or do you prefer munchkin?" I just sighed. He knew I didn't like his nicknames "I transferred here last semester, why is there a problem?" I was about to answer when Vanessa cut in "No, no problem, I'm Vanessa by the way."

"Yeah, I've seen you around campus." Chase said. "How do you know my little Abigail?"

"Oh, we are roommates." Vanessa said.

"Hmm, I see, well I guess im going to have to visit you guys at your apartment. I've got to go, before I'm late to class. See you around Abigail" he said with his million dollar smile and walked away.

Vanessa turned towards me "How in the world do you know Chase Mathews?"

"He's just my best friend's brother." I said.

"Oh yeah that makes sense." She said.

"What do you mean?"

"Well no offense, but the hottest football player on campus, doesn't talk to girls like you. No offense." She said. I was offended, but she was right. Chase fell for girls like her tall, skinny, blue eyes, blond hair. I was the complete opposite of what Chase likes. I was 5"2, a brunette with brown eyes and I wasn't exactly skinny. I had my dad's side of the family to thank for that.

"Trust me I know, he wouldn't ever talk to me otherwise. Now come on, I have to get to class."

Throughout the entire day I had Chase on my mind. When I moved here I thought this would be a fresh start. A chance to finally forget about him and move on with my life. How did Ashley not mention anything? I needed to have a talk with her, but first I needed to finish my classes and get home. Golly, today was going to be a long day.
