As the animals watched and listened to both Mr. Pilkington and Napoleon's speeches, those who could remember the Rebellion, began to wonder what had happened to their glorious farm and the ideals that set it apart. They began to wonder what it was that made the pigs look and act different now. And as the farmers and the pigs inside the farmhouse went back to playing cards, the animals outside finally realized what was different. You almost couldn't tell the difference between man and pig. The pigs had fallen so far away from what they had fought for, that they quite literally turned into the very thing they had despised years ago.

So the animals turned from the scene of man and pig, many of them looking downcast and lost. Most began to make their way back to the barn with plans of retiring for the night, others remained standing in the yard, watching the farmhouse as if almost hoping that the gathering taking place inside was just part of some terrible nightmare. But one thing was for sure, all the animals were hopeless. They had all lost hope in the future of Animal Farm, well all except one: Clover. Clover wasn't going to let the power hungry pigs ruin their lives. Not after everything that the animals had done to get where they were, so Clover spoke up.

"Comrades!" Clover brayed. "Pull yourselves together. Do we really want to let the pigs and the farmers rule our lives? Do we want to just let them tell, us what to do? I certainly don't want that."

All the animals turned and stared at Clover, some looked stunned, some looked dumbfounded, and one shook his head in agreement.

"You're right Clover, my old friend." said Benjamin. "Though my memory fails me at times, I remember the good old days. The days where we animals fought for our freedom and won. We were tired of humans telling us what to do. We were tired of being underfed and treated as if we were worthless. Those were the good old days, the days of the rebellion.

"But now," interjected Clover. "But now, instead of finding glory and freedom through rebellion, we have found ourselves in the same predicament. Our predicament now may be the same, but it may be worse. I cannot quite remember, but in all, we shouldn't have to live like this. Do you want to be forced to work until you collapse more than any creature should? Do you want to continued to be underfed and mistreated? I certainly don't. So are you going to do something about it?"

"YES!!!" The animals cried in unison.

"I think it's a terrible idea. It didn't work the last time, so why would a rebellion work a second time?" complained Moses, the old, cranky raven.

"Even if it doesn't work, wouldn't you rather try to create change instead end of just letting abuse happen?" Clover asked. "I'm only willing to fight because I can't stand being confused and deceived any longer. I would think that's what you would do as well, Moses."

"I don't think anything except my want for survival and this suggestion of yours doesn't sound very promising of life to me. So I'm out." said Moses.

And with that, the old raven flew off into the sunset, never to be seen again. After the only opposition had left, the animals turned and crowded around Clover and Benjamin, the unspoken leaders  of the New Rebellion, and awaited their orders.

"Alright Comrades," Clover began. "The New Rebellion shall start tonight. It is the most opportune time since the pigs and humans are unprepared due to their partying, drinking, and new found friendship. I am not much use for battle tactics, so I will let Benjamin give the orders."

"In my fleeting memory, I believe that fighting in multiple waves is how we were victorious in Battle of Cowshed. So, the first wave will consist of the horses under my lead. We shall....horses! Please be silent, I am trying give you your orders!" Benjamin reprimanded the over excited horses. "As I was saying, in the first wave we shall enter the house and distract the enemy inside. Our main objective will be get the enemy out of the house and into the hands of wave two. Wave two will consist of the cows and the chickens, your mission is to attack. You must create chaos and fear, sending the enemy towards the gate where wave three will be waiting. Wave three will be all the remaining animals under Clover's lead. Wave three will launch a second attack with the other two waves flanking the enemy. With these three waves, we hope to banish both pig and human from our home forever." That is the ultimate goal. We must protect our home and its future. I wish you all best of the luck and courage in the New Rebellion."

"Thank Benjamin, that was very inspiring." said Clover. "Now do we have any questions?"

"Umm.....yes ma'am." replied a timid but beautiful, black and white stallion.

"Go ahead Pistol."

"Could you maybe repeat who are in which wave?" Pistol asked.

This time it was Benjamin who replied. "Wave one, under me, is all the horses. So that would include you young lass. Wave two consists of the cows and chickens. And wave three, under Clover, are all the remaining animals."

"Thank you sir."

"Now," said Clover. "It is time to begin. Are you ready to win back your home?"

"YES!!!" Exclaimed the animals.

"Are you ready to fight for your freedom?"

"YES!!"

"Are you ready to bring about the change to Animal Farm that was once spoke of long ago?"

"YES!!!"

"Well then" Clover stated. "Long live the New Rebellion!!"

And all the animals shouted as one, "Long Live The New Rebellion!!!!"

Fortunately for the animals, the humans and pigs inside the house were too loud, rowdy, and occupied by their merriment, that they heard none of the noise being made in the yard. This was a grave mistake. For in Napoleon's mind, it never occurred to him that the animals, as stupid as they were, would ever think of or even conduct a rebellion. This thinking was quite possibly the downfall of Napoleon's regime. He and his new found friends had made a few too many mistakes and these mistakes would cost them everything.

The New Rebellion was something to be talked about. It was built on the same principles as the first one was, so long ago; but it was different in so many ways. The New Rebellion did not strive for destruction of mankind or a creation of a perfect world. All this New Rebellion wanted was peace, freedom, change, and a safe future for their home. And because of these things, the New Rebellion went down in history as a great deed to all. It was inspiration for those of both man and animal, who wanted peace, freedom, change, and safety. The New Rebellion proved to the world that the characteristics of a certain lifestyle were attainable. But unfortunately for man, this lifestyle, a lifestyle that had been sought for since the beginning, would be one that is sought after, for the rest of time.

Hey!!! I hope you enjoyed my alternate ending to "Animal Farm" by George Orwell.

Fun fact (1): This was very stressful to write because it deleted almost all of it when I went to turn it in (stupid online forums), so I had to rewrite it......So the version that you just read is actually the 2nd version written!!!

Fun fact (2): The black and white horse, Pistol, is actually a real horse. She was my horse for a week at equestrian camp when I was going into 6th grade!!! 🐎
