|THE STRESSFUL SITUATION|

"New things were beginning to come and all they could do was hope the new won't cause serious damage."

•°•°•

"I broke a law," Emmett muttered, shoving his hands in his pockets.

Growing anxious, Daniella stood in front of him, a stern look being painted all over her small form. "You broke the law?! What, are you going to be arrested? Do I need to get a lawyer? Em-" Through his nervousness, Emmett chuckled and shook his head before eyeing Raven. "Emmett McCarty please answer."

"If we're going to discuss this-" he looked around the room, "-we'll need the whole family. Everyone!" Not even a second later, the whole Cullen Clan was entering the room with curious gazes as they saw how stressed the trio looked.

Alice, using her frail legs that reminded many of a dancer, she skipped on over to Daniella and the others. "I heard something about the law. Do we Jaz for such an occasion?" Her perky, enthusiastic personality differed from Daniella and when the said girl let out a sigh, that tell and was replaced with worry. "Oh no," she realized what they meant, her hands pulled on the sleeves of her teal-colored sweater. "You broke the law that we made with them."

"Who on Earth are you talking about?" Daniella grumbled, noticing how Raven became more awkward as he stood amongst them all. "What are you even talking about?"

It was Carlisle who spoke up, his sigh echoing in the room before looking at the newborn solemnly. "There are things in this world that were myths, but, in fact, they are very real. There are vampires and with that comes witches and in this case, wolves." She furrowed her brows before looking up to Emmett, nodding down at her for her to continue listening to his father. "Wolves or men that could turn into a wolf were found around the time a few vampires arrived on Native American land and once they were seen, the men changed instantly. Some of their land is near us and so, when we officially stayed here, we met some of them and made a treaty."

"How does this involve me? Because, honestly, I believe it does." Her red eyes were starting to show how frustrated she really was. "Does it relate to me being changed?" Everyone was silent and she quickly realized it was true. It did, in fact, relate to her and being reborn. "Oh gosh."

Raven looked at all of them, furrowing his brows. "Does it follow along with me? I mean, some chick changed me and I saw a few others."

"A few others?" Esme questioned, astonished.

"Yeah, look, I saw one girl change me and I could see, despite how much pain I was in, that there were at least two other vampires or humans by her. Another girl and a boy - the boy looked like he was barely fifteen." He rubbed his nose, looking at all of them with a saddening look as he remembered that day. "Good thing I met blondie over there and she told me about her diet and well, I haven't sucked a human since." Rosalie quirked a small grin at that before letting a serious look crossed her features.

"They're outsiders," Jasper mumbled himself, thinking over the information that Raven just provided them with.

"The law was that you couldn't change a human," Daniella looked up to Emmett, hundreds of emotions swimming in her ruby eyes, her mouth hanging open slightly. "Emmett, what does this mean for you?" Feeling for the worst, she exclaimed, "Are you gonna die?"

"Maybe," Raven shrugged before getting nudged by Emmett.

Daniella frowned, bouncing on the balls of her feet to relieve some of her stress. In a soft voice, different from her feelings, she asked, "How do we solve this situation? Do we need to talk to those people?"

Carlisle answered her, his voice almost as soft as hers, if not softer. "That'll be the way we'll go unless they plan an attack."

"An attack?!"

Carlisle showed a hesitant frown. "An attack, Daniella-" He stopped abruptly when one of the house phones rang, the noise startling anyone and it was Edward who sighed. "It's her sister."

Her red, blood-like eyes fell onto him, her lips turning into a frown. "She needs to know that I'm safe because of this damn blizzard." And just outside, the snow was continuing to pile among the current coat, adding to her anxiousness for her sister and how much she was worrying for Daniella. "Let me talk to her."

Without anyone stopping her, she was suddenly in front of the phone and pulling it to her ear. "Summer," she sighed, smiling and twirling the cord. "It's me, Dani... I'm sorry." Meanwhile, over at the Morgan residence, the oldest member was hanging over the phone, her voice and breath shaky when she finally heard her sister's voice. "Don't worry, I'm safe."

"I can tell just from knowing you answered," Summer chuckled, feeling relieved. Her heartbeat became more soft than erratic like it was just before. Her eyes, a brilliant color they were, gathered tears in the corners as she listened to the teen's voice. "When this all over, I'm getting my ass over there and bringing you home, Dani."

Daniella's smile faded into a frown. It was basically impossible for the newborn to be around humans, that's what Emmett explained to her at one point. Her thirst for blood and her barely beginning her diet, if she dared to be around a human, they would be dead in an instant. And as much as Daniella loved and adored her sister, she couldn't see her, not right now. Biting her lip before letting it go, she whispered in a hushed tone that showed her despair, "We can't do that, Sum."

"What do you mean?"

She ran her fingers through her golden curls, "S-something came up that isn't the blizzard and uh, I just can't see you." Still, Summer didn't believe her. "I'm sick, really sick and I'd rather you not be in the state I am in right now." A cough escaped her lips to hopefully add to her sister's belief. "And don't, please, say 'I'm your damn sister and that means I'm going after you no matter what.' I love you so, so much Summer and I'd rather you stay home where you're warm and safe with all the hot chocolate we own." Her heart broke then, "Don't worry about me, I'll stand by ya'." Her ruby eyes looked behind her to see everyone, Cullens and Raven, watching her with a solemn look as she spoke with her sibling.

"Daniella..." Summer whined, not agreeing with what the girl was saying. "I adore most of the family, though Edward can be an asshole sometimes-" Edward frowned at that, "-, but I am going to bring you home no matter what. Sick or not. Blizzard or not. You're gonna be in this home with me."

Biting her lip, she answered back, "O-Okay, just don't come now." Sadly, she sighed. "I don't want you to get lost or injured." Then, without waiting for her sister to answer back, she placed the phone back and looked behind her. Everyone was silent and she was a bit grateful for that.

"Uh, let's figure out this wolf thing, yeah?"

•°•°•

All of them dashed through the snow, the flakes flying up into the air as their feet pounded silently against the Earth. Their eyes, both gold, and red, were focused forwards as they made their way to where Carlisle directed them to. Carlisle was in front, Daniella was by his side with her enhanced newborn speed and to her right was her mate, Emmett. Esme was situated on Carlisle's right and the rest of the coven was behind them, going at the same speed.

"Right here," Carlisle's voice filtered the ears as they came to a stop at a ledge that was over a small, frozen creek. "I can hear one of them, a Clearwater, I believe."

"A Clearwater?" Daniella wondered, looking at the head of the coven with confusion. Suddenly, everyone was starring ahead, their faces hardening with something that Daniella nor Raven, who decided to tag along, could recognize. However, once a low growl echoed through the air, the gears in her and Raven's minds started to work. It was a wolf and a rather huge one. With fur that was colored an ashy colored, with small dark brown spots sprinkled on its sides. Its eyes, dark as they were, held a dangerous aura that made her cold.

"He's not too happy to see us all," Edward spoke up, reading the mind of the wolf. "He wants to know who changed her and Raven. He doesn't understand why there are two new members."

The sound of someone walking caused her eyes to snap to Emmett, a guilty and nervous look crossing his features as he stared at the wolf who was almost as tall as he was. "I changed the girl. For Raven, we believe a nomad changed him and as soon as possible, we would like to find the person or more so people who were the cause of him changing." The wolf then growled loudly, understanding for the boy but for the girl, he couldn't come to terms, which is why Emmett explained more in-depth. "Daniella, the girl, she is my mate and I need her to be with me. She is still coming to terms with who she is as she is well," he looked back at her then, looking at her frightened features. "She's just aw confused as you may be."

"He wants to know more about mates." Edward narrowed his eyes in perplexity before adding, "He wants to know if it's like imprinting."

Emmett thought over it for a moment. "In a way, yes, but once we look into their eyes, we don't see the future and things - I just had this instant connection with her when I looked into her blue eyes, the ones she had before." A grunt escaped from the wolf as his eyes landed on Daniella, his eyes narrowing slightly. "If you want to kill me-"

"-Emmett, please stop." And then suddenly, like magic, his lips fell into a thin line and all you could hear was small muffles from the vampire. Confused, the wolf growled loudly at Daniella, watching as she hesitantly neared the wolf.

"Dani, I don't think-"

Looking at Alice, she sent a small smile. "All of you, Raven included, please, be quiet." Silence filled the air then and she returned to walking towards the wolf, her body shaking in fear. "I'm Daniella, as you heard before and yes, I'm a newborn, but I follow their diet. I was changed due to the fact that I'm his mate and as your imprinting thing? I think that's what Edward said, it's the same for Emmett and I. We're bonded together and it was planned for us to meet. But who planned it is unknown to me, but I am beyond thankful for them." A quivering smile graced her lips. "He saved me, I was drowning in the water and yes, I did die, but he rescued me."

The wolf continued to stare at her and an unknown feeling consumed his body and he softened. It was insane to both him and the vampires; how was she doing this? It made them confused. Was she like Jasper? She just couldn't be.

"Please, understand." And suddenly, her powers worked once again. Sure, the teenager had the ability to silence others but she could also make people follow her command of speaking and in this case, when she undid her powers on the immortals behind her, Edward sputtered,

"He understands."

But still, she had a feeling that the wolf was hesitant and that only time could change things. She accepted that then and there and hopefully, he did too. Things were always changing in the world and the sad part was that we had to accept it. New generations had to experience new things and she hoped that those that she was the closest to would understand. It was her biggest wish.

"Leave, please," Then everyone watched as the wolf backed away, a grumble, low and steady escaped from him as he retreated in the forest. A shadow of his figure is the last thing seen before he was off, the noises of h running off being heard by all of them. "So-" she turned on her heel, looking at all of them with nervousness, "-how was that?"

Raven shrugged, closing his eyes. "I have no fucking clue what happened."
