|THE OFF FEELING|

"They sat there, silently, as she begun to tell her idea. But it seemed as if a new idea rose in her mind and slowly, something developed that would change her."

•°•°•

"You do realize this means like two and half weeks full of fun with your sister?" Looking up at her with her large, blue eyes, Daniella drew a grin on her face. Whisking her hair to the her back and tying it with an elastic, she rubbed her hands together. "So this doesn't count."

"Rearranging is one my favorite activities, Sum." Her hands gripped her bean bag, lifting the chair up in the air before placing in the hall where she would snatch it back in her room later. "Besides, I like cleaning and things during winter, well, except dishes. I hate doing the dishes and it feels like it takes forever, you know?" Not waiting for an answer, Daniella flowed back into her room, looking among her furniture as she silently thought of which piece to move next. Behind her, Summer rolled her eyes, sighing along the way too before flowing into her sister's room. A pair of blue eyes looked up to her inexplicably and when Summer gave her a knowing grin, Daniella matched one.

For hours the blond sisters got to work. Huffs, curses, and grunts echoed the room as they moved the teen's furniture into the way she imagined it. Along the way also brought annoyed looks to Summer's sweat-coated features when Daniella shyly explained that she wanted her dresser on the far left wall. Summer glared at her as she pushed the wooden piece over there. However, the two now found themselves on the couch, an old movie playing on the television as they shared two plastic cups full of kool-aid. It made Daniella miss summer and she was hoping this winter would go by fast. With the snow just building my the weeks, she knew it was going to be a long winter, indeed.

Suddenly, the door got pounded on and the Morgan sisters both furrowed their eyebrows before Summer stood up, wandering to the door. Her eyes widened and she held a finger to her lips. "Carolers." She whispered, slowly backing away fromt the door and grabbing ahold of her baby sister's hand. Together, they shared a look and a firm nod before they retreated into the hallway, the echos of the door being pounded on running through the home. However, once it stopped when the girls were at the end of the hallway, they breathed in relief and shaded a laugh or two before running back in the living room.

It seemed like moments like this were some of the very ones the two were heart warmed the most by. Doing crazy schemes or keeping the most haunting of secrets. It was a sibling or kore so, sister the bond that they shared and they knew it would never break. As long as they were together and the sun and moon still sung every morning and night, things would be swell.

Their life a few years ago was their darkest patches in their quilt of life. Their parents death lit something in them that they never experienced before, it left the two in their dark corners. In there, they dealt with the hardships of life and the understanding of things. When their aunt swooped them under her wing, they were still stuck in the shadows and it wasn't until Summer had hit her senior year that the two grew together once more, fixing the bonds with love and familiarity. Things seemed to be resolved in their eyes. But they still felt that darkness still laid there, covered with beauty and sunshine.

Nowadays, they were welcomed with love by one another and it's been like that for years. However, with the Cullens entering their lives, Summer silently feared that her sister would leave her all to herself or possibly, her worst fear, that the folks would just abandon her. Daniella already went through so much pain before and had such trouble with making friends and these people made her so cheery that it made her face crinkle as a smile bloomed on her.

Switching back to reality, the girls, most specifically Daniella, felt herself grow tired and bid her sister a good night and an I love you, before crashing into her room. Her newly rearranged room.

Later that night, however, as her body was covered with blankets and her hair was toppled all over her pillows, a knock awoke her. She shot up from her bed, looking around her room frantically as her heart raced and pounded against her chest and when the noise came again, she hopped to her feet. Her hand grabbed a hold of the closest thing by her, that being one of her pillows, which she scolded herself about as she tracked the source of noise: her window. As she arrived, her eyebrows lifted when she saw Alice Cullen looking at her, her amber eyes sparkling with enthusiasm and behind her was the rest of the Cullens.

All of them sharing a joyful look as Daniella opened her window, letting the pixie inside.

"What are you doing here and how did you get up here?" Daniella whispered, rubbing her arms as the winter air nipped at her skin. "And-" Her mouth fell into a thin line as the rest of the Cullen clan climbed up the tree, crawling on the branches before jumping to her window, letting themselves in. Her diamond eyes fell onto all five of them, irritation creeping up in her bones as she was still tired and from the looks of her clock, it was rearing four o'clock in the morning.

"What's up?" Emmett questioned, his familiar smirk already on his face but it fell as Daniella raised her dainty hands, rubbing her eyes. Everyone could tell how tired she really was and guilt consumed them. "Oh, uh, I-I'm sorry. We didn't realize how tired you are-"

"Well it's four in the morning." Edward noted, his hands holding up a picture of Daniella and her grandparents before placing it back on the dresser, silently complimenting the new arrangement of her bedroom. Emmett glared at him; really Edward? He thought to himself and Edward shrugged away. Taking a big step forward, he gently grabbed a hold of her wrists, his golden eyes boring into and Daniella widened her eyes.

"We can leave, Dani, look how tired you are. I'm sorry, w-we're just early birds, ya know?" Hearing him say that brought Alice's cheery smile up more
It was sweet, sweet to hear the boy speak such a way to her and it was slightly different towards how he treated the blond immortal who was currently looking at her mirror, her hands playing with the buttons of her coat. Rosalie tried her hardest to block out his voice, but it was difficult and she found herself biting her lip. The woman didn't want to dry sob here.

Emotions were something she could control and usually she would describe them as bland. The members of her family would tell her that she could be sassy, but had gold to her. Rosalie appreciated it to some level, but now, with the realization that Emmett wasn't her true mate, all she could feel was how miserable she really was. Years and years ago she requested to change him after witnessing him being attacked by a bear and his blood, the damn, sweet smell of it just made her realize that he was something else. Together they fell in love and shared that love in many, many ways, but now, in this long, dreary winter, things just went downhill.

Daniella was a beautiful, young lady with a main that was simply perfect and eyes that sparkled like a cave full of diamonds. Her skin was pale from the lack of sun, but it was goregous with small moles sprinkled on her arms, giving her a unique look. A small stature fitted her form as she stood around five foot and two inches while Emmett was like a beast to her. The man stood way over six foot and with his protruding muscles, it just added to the beast idea. Sure, Rosalie herself stood around five feet and five inches and her body was something anyone would crave, but as she looked between the human and the vampire, she realized they fitted together like puzzle pieces.

Puzzle pieces from two different boxes.

Rosalie swallowed, her arms enclosing her as she rocked on her heels and watched as Daniella shook her head at Emmett, saying they could stay till she found herself falling asleep once again. The human wandered over to her bed, curling herself in her blankets while Alice jumped at the end of her bed while Jasper took a seat beside his lover. "Shall we tell stories to help you sleep, Dani?" Alice inquired, her golden eyes wide with anticipation.

Jasper rubbed Daniella's leg, taking in a shaky breath. "Texas gave me quite some stories, shall I tell one?" Daniella thought for a moment before reaching over to her nightstand, pulling out the worn book her sister had shown her yesterday. "What is that?"

"If you can tell one, may I tell one also? My-my sister gave me this - a book from the store that she was interested in. It's about some legends, th-the cold faces? I think that's what it's called?" Every single Cullen in that room froze at that moment and Emmett, who sat beside her bed on the floor, widened his eyes like he heard the most insane thing ever. In this case, it was the most nerve racking. She was close, he thought as he gripped his Jean's tightly his hands. She'll find out sooner or later.

The silence made her frown and she looked at all of them. "Is something wrong? Do you not wanna read this?" She shook the book and everyone just looked at it, their eyes widening before looking at each other. Daniella placed the book back in her drawer and listened as Emmett let out a breath he was holding. "You can tell me if something is bothering you guys." She explained, looking at them with a softening look that was filled with worry.

Sighing, Jasper shook his head, his golden eyes looking forward and not on her. "We just don't like legends like those. La Push, we're the legends are born from, they um, scare us. Darlin' they just really scare us and we're highly frightened of them." The curly haired girl furrowed her brows, but nodded in understandment. But something felt off and Summer's words echoed in her head.

"We have to solve these mysteries..."

Edward grumbled lowly as he listened to her thoughts, a fear of her knowing their secret filling him. Jasper was quick to send a wave of calmness towards him before focusing on Daniella's conflicting feelings. Pain. Confusion. Guilt. Wonder. It all radiated off her body as she turned in her sheets, her hands coming up to brush back her hair before her blue eyes wandered to them, finally landing on Jasper.

Grinning, she sat criss-crossed and looked at him. Her feeling were pushed aside as she asked him, "What stories do you wanna tell, Jasper?" So he dived into his story, one that he knew she would believe that he was never apart of. He went into detail about the war life, the things the supposed man saw and did in his journey. Daniella was engrossed in the story, like a child at camp as the counselor told spooky stories to the children. While her head was rested on her hands and she was leaning forward, Emmett found himself inching closer to her and she didn't mind. Then, when he stood and took a spot next to her on the bed, he listened as her breath hitched and her eyes wandered to him, but then she relaxed. Her muscles fell and her breathing became even until later on it slowed and her eyes dropped downwards, her body falling along just as slowly.

The largest Cullen watched as she fell asleep, Jasper's words coming to a stop as he chuckled quietly to himself. Sighing, Alice stretched her muscles as she sat up, looking over at the sleeping human.

"You know, I don't mind being a immortal and all, but I will always miss sleeping and dreaming." Alice reminisced, shoving her delicate hands in her cardigan pockets, rocking back and forth on her boots. "Edward, what is she dreaming about?"

Concentrating, Edward leaned closer to the girl, his amber eyes narrowing before he pulled away. "Nothing yet." The family nodded and Alice looked back to find Rose looking at the pictures that hung on Daniella's wall, a small smile on her lips as she looked at one with her and her family; she couldn't be no older than five-years-old. "Rose." Alice whispered, dashing towards the window to open it up silently. "You ready to go dine on some sleeping deer?"

Rosalie nodded before falling her family out the window and once they were gone, Daniela eyes snapped open and her mouth became dry.

Did she hear correctly? Were the Cullens, in fact, immortal? Were the at all human? Alice said if her sister was ready to dine on deer, poor, innocent deer.

Was she right? Daniella thought frantically before rolling over in her bed and snatching the red, leather book from her nightstand. Something just feels so off. That night, Daniella barely caught an inch of sleep and dived herself into discovering the hidden world that she had no clue about.

A/N: So Daniella heard some things right before she fell asleep and I'm excited to write everything as she slowly discovers that things aren't normal in this world. A world lies hidden around her and she was blind to see it. Anyhow, hoped you enjoyed this chapter!!

Edits and fixes will be done later on.
