Unpacking is peaceful and relaxing, almost putting yourself to sleep again. But. The quietness is interrupted by the room's door slamming open. In walks a shorter ginger girl who gapes at the room.
"Woah, look at this. Ellie is going to be so jealous... OH hi there, I'm so sorry for so rudely barging in. My name is Hannah!"
"Pleasure," you look back out the window that is above the bed you've been sitting on.
"Man, you got the good view. Gardens and forest. My bed looks over the entryway. Gravelly..."
You set the pile of shirts you've folded into the small dresser at the foot of your bed.
"Early bird gets the worm, I guess," you smile at her.
"Touche."
Hannah seems nice and friendly, maybe a tad bit overly energetic. She starts unpacking while humming a familiar tune.
"Are you alright with me heading down stairs, or would you like help unpacking?" you offer. Debating on what you are going to do once out of the room.
"Oh no! I'm perfectly fine unpacking, I'll see you at dinner!"
*Definitely energetic, but she couldn't be too hard to get along with*. You make your way to the floor's flight of stairs when you make up your mind to go explore the place a little bit on your own. Deciding to go up and make your way downward. The top floor is gorgeous and rustic. Red carpeted banisters, golden lanterns, and royal drapes hanging from everywhere. It's stretches above the main hall. You push open a door at the end of the walkway. A strong gust of wind numbs your face, goosebumps run down your body. The sun is just setting, and the balcony looks over the majority of the grounds.
"And do you intend to miss dinner?"
Jumping slightly, you spin around and meet the stare of Tom. He shakes his head and smiles at you.
"Dinner's just been called.. and it's freezing out here, I'm not having anyone under my roof sick."
You nod, "I'm sorry."
"Not to worry, you were only executing your right to be curious. This way, I'm sure you're starving," he motions to inside. You steadily walk down the corridor and the stairs, hearing the clicking of dress shoes quietly behind you. Sitting down at the table, you look up and see Tom disappearing around the dining hall corner, down a hallway.
"Dinner is served!"

(Hey, author here. Another short one, I'm sorry. Just build up until we get the story going. Promise there's a long chapter somewhat soon. Anyways, I'm open for recommendations, or if you just want to chat. Have a lovely day and remember to spread peace. ~ J)
