Hana stood waiting outside the fair for her best friend, who was, as usual, late. She had agreed to meet him at twelve, and it was now half past.

She sighed, pulling her phone from her pocket and sending a message to him to find out how much longer he was going to take. Once she had received a reply, she put her phone back into her pocket and leaned up against the lamppost behind her.

As she waited idly, the feeling that she was being watched began to creep up on her again, just like in the diner. She quickly looked around at her surroundings, but as before, could see no one looking at her.

She did, however, see what looked like an argument not too far from where she was standing by the side entrance to the fair that was signposted, "Employees Only".

One of the men was wearing a red blazer and smart black trousers with long black boots and a bowtie over a white shirt. His dark brown hair was neat and styled away from his pretty face, and he looked completely fed up. The other man, however, was a lot more casual; scruffy even. He was wearing black ripped jeans and a plain white t-shirt under a blue denim-like jacket. He had black hair and was looking more and more upset as the time went on.

Hana couldn't hear what they were talking about, but she jumped when someone suddenly appeared in front of her, "Hey, Nerd, are you alive? I've been trying to get your attention for ages,"

"Oh, Tae," She blinked up at her friend, "Sorry, I was just watching..." The two arguing men had vanished and she shook her head, "Nevermind. You're late, again,"

Taehyung grinned and hooked his arm into hers, "I was trying to get rid of the guy in my bed. He said he didn't want to go to work and that we should stay there forever, but alas," He sighed dramatically, "He was an amazing fuck, but I couldn't leave my bestie standing out here, alone and miserable waiting for me,"

He yelped and laughed when Hana elbowed him in the ribs, "What? It's true!"

She rolled her eyes as they made their way to the entrance, "I don't even know where you find these guys. I didn't know there were all that many gay men in our town,"

"Well," Taehyung said, "Not all of us are so open about it. Besides, we have a University just outside the town, a lot of sexy guys there, and a lot of travellers. Anyway, I think the guy last night is from the fair. He seemed kind of like carnival folk,"

"And how do they seem?" Hana sighed, handing the two tickets she had gotten from Yoongi and Daisy to the lady in the booth.

"You know," Taehyung waved his hand about, "Just... You know,"

"I don't," Hana laughed, "You're so weird,"

"Well, whatever," Taehyung let go of her arm and skipped forward, "Let's have some fun!"

Throughout the day, Hana still couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. It got more and more intense, the further into the fair they got, and she began to feel more and more uncomfortable and paranoid.

"Hana?" Taehyung frowned, "Are you alright? You're not really paying attention,"

"That's because she's special," Hana jumped, her attention immediately turning to Taehyung when a masculine voice cut through her paranoid haze. Stood behind Taehyung, smiling gently, was the man in the red blazer that she had seen just outside the fair earlier while she was waiting for her friend. This time, he was wearing a black top hat and had a long black cane in his hand.

He lifted the hat from his head with a flourish, bowing to Hana, before standing upright again and replacing the hat, "Greetings," He said, his voice smooth like melted chocolate, "My name is Jeon Jungkook. I am the owner of this fair, the boss, the leader, the ringmaster, if you would,"

"Uh, nice to meet you," Hana said, glancing at Taehyung, who had come to stand next to her, "What do you mean, I'm special?"

"You can feel yourself being watched, something is pulling you towards the centre of my carnvial, isn't that right?"

Jungkook walked around her, light and bouncy on his feet as if the ground he were walking on was springy, "I'm right, am I not?"

Hana was a little taken aback, but nodded, "Yes. How did you know?"

Jungkook smiled mischievously at her, "I know many things, my dear," He said, with a little nod of his head, "And I know why you are feeling as you are. If you follow me, I can show you what draws you in,"

After a moment of hesitation, Hana nodded, and the pair of friends followed the ringmaster through the busy fair until they reached the centre.

"This, my dear, is what draws you in," He said grandly, swinging his arm out, "The centre of the fair, the main attraction, the carousel of the dancing unicorns,"

Hana's eyes widened as they approached the enormous, most beautiful carousel she had ever seen. The carved unicorns on the machine were stunning, in black and white. They looked almost real, they were so detailed, and the saddles on bridles were beautifully decorated with pastel blues and pinks and greens. Their horns, like their hooves and the swirling poles through their bodies were silver, bronze or gold. As they rose and fell with the tinkling music, it looked as if they were actually galloping and dancing as they went around and around.

"It's beautiful," She gasped; and she wasn't the only one. Everyone who passed by the carousel stopped to admire it and joined the long queue to ride it.

Hana felt just as drawn to it as everyone else, and the ringmaster smiled, "My dear," He said with a bow, "Please allow me to help you onto the ride,"

"Ah, but the queue," Hana said, tearing her eyes away from the unicorns in favour of looking at Jungkook.

"You forget," He replied, walking backwards towards the carousel, his arms out and a smile on his face, "I am the one who controls this place. I am the Master here. Come, you and your friend can ride as many times as you wish. Do not concern yourself with the queue,"

Taehyung and Hana glanced at each other with a smile, before rushing after the owner, who was already stood by the turning machine.
