"Whassup, nerd,"

Hana looked up as someone dropped into the seat next to her.

"Hi, Tae," She said with a smile, "Whats going on?"

"I'm bored and want to go home," Came the pouty reply, "As usual. Why haven't you finished yet?"

Hana looked back at the screen in front of her and sighed, "He gave me more work. You know how he is. It's fine, though, I should be done by the end of the day,"

"Good," Taehyung was known for being the first one out as soon as the day was over. Of course, he completed his work to a high standard, but there was no way he would ever do any kind of overtime, "I can't wait for the holidays," He groaned, "I need a break!"

The company that Hana and her best friend worked for were closely affiliated with the schools in the local area. As they only received business during term time, they did not work during the school holidays. It was a unique job perk which meant that they had long holidays every year. It also meant that they were not entitled to any other time off, which Hana fully understood.

"Only a few more days," she assured him, "We haven't even got much work to do this week, so you shouldn't really complain,"

Taehyung blew air out from between his pursed lips and went limp, lounging over her, "I'm bored babe, entertain me,"

Hana rolled her eyes as her fingers danced across the keyboard, "You know it pisses the other women off when you act like this towards me,"

"Why do they care? I'm gay, they don't have a chance with me,"

"I don't think they care," She sighed, "Come on Tae, please? If you're bored, at least help me finish this. Mr Kim will have my ass if I don't get it done,"

"Oh ho," Taehyung grinned, "Your ass, huh? Daddy take me-"

"Stop!" Hana cried, slapping her hand over her friends mouth, "Don't start that again, I was drunk and-"

The sound of a throat being cleared grabbed Hana's ar attention, and she slowly turned, her jaw dropping in horror as her eyes met those of her very tall, very handsome, very annoyed boss.

"M-Mr Park," She stammered, immediately letting go of Taehyung and wiping her hand on her shirt, "I-"

"Miss Kwon, Mr Kim, it is so nice to see that you're having fun at work instead of doing your job,"

"It was my fault," Taehyung stood up, a smile on his face as he moved towards their boss, "We were taking a break. Hey, Jae - I can call you Jae, right?"

"No,"

"Can I have a pay rise? I work hard Joonie, and I deserve one,"

Taehyung shot Hana a wink as he led their increasingly irritated boss away from her so she could finish up her work.

Half an hour later, she was joined again by Taehyung, who was looking a little sulky. Apparently, Mr Park did not enjoy being called Jae, so had given him some mess to clean up before they could go home.

"Shouldn't you be cleaning?" Hana sighed as Taehyung just sat and pouted at her.

"Later," He sighed, "Hey, let's go out on Saturday. We can grab a meal on Friday after work, too,"

She eyed him, "I'm not paying this time,"

After another pout, Taehyung rolled his eyes, "Fine," He said begrudgingly, "I'll pay,"

She smiled at him, pushing her dark brown hair behind her ear as she turned back to her work, "Alright. Let's do something on Saturday. Now you need to go and clean before Mr Park sees you slacking off again,"

The rest of the week went fairly quickly, despite Taehyung's complaints, and on Friday once they had finished work, the two sat down in the local diner. It was cheap and cheerful, run by a family that had owned it for years, and the majority of the town made a visit their at least once a week.

The couple; Min Yoongi and his wife, Sophia, knew everyone and always knew what was happening around the town. So, when Yoongi came to serve Taehyung and Hana their food, he added his opinion to their conversation.

"I don't know," Taehyung sighed, "You decide what to do,"

"You asked me out tomorrow," Hana argued, "Why have I got to decide?"

"How about the fair?" Yoongi piped up, placing their plates and milkshakes in front of them, "I heard it's setting up now and will be opening tomorrow. You should go there,"

Hana raised her eyebrows, "A fair? I didn't know there was one coming to town,"

"I only found out this morning," Yoongi said, "I think the last time a fair came was probably around ten years ago?"

"Oh, that sounds fun," Taehyung said, his face lighting up, "I didn't get to go, last time! I was just a kid,"

Hana smiled, "Okay, the fair it is," She turned to Yoongi, "Where is it?"

Yoongi, "On the giant field by the edge of the forest," He said, pulling a leaflet from his pocket and handing it to her, "Here. Two free tickets. The Missus and I can't go because we have to run the diner," He smiled as he walked away from their table, "You kids have fun,"

Hana grinned as she leaned forward, placing her lips on the straw and gulping down the milkshake. She suddenly felt as if she were being watched, but when her eyes darted around the diner, there was nobody looking at her.

She sat back, looking at the leaflet on the table, her eyes flitting across the bold red title across the top and she smiled, forgetting the weird feeling she previously had.

"Semper-Nox Fair; The forever home of the galloping carousel unicorns"

She loved unicorns when she was a kid.
