She always loved the fair. When she heard it was coming to town, she immediately set up a date with him.

The music was loud and there were people everywhere enjoying the rides and the food.

He remembered her fascination with the carousel. She always loved unicorns, and the beautiful carved creatures prancing around with the poles through their bodies pulled her towards them.

He obliged; he always did. He loved to see her smile. The picture they had taken while riding one of the painted unicorns was still the wallpaper on his phone.

The next day, the fair was gone. And so was she.
