"I'm going to let go of you now," Came a soft voice from behind Hana, "Please don't scream, let me explain,"

Hana's entire body was stiff, and she felt hot tears welling up in her eyes from fear and lack of sufficient oxygen. She nodded her head just a little, and the hand covering her face dropped.

She scrambled away as quick as she could, but was surprised when her kidnapper didn't try to grab her again. Once she was on the other side of the small booth, she turned back to look at him, her eyes wide, trying to see through the darkness.

As the man made no attempt to move toward her, she took her time getting used to the dark and could make out the figure of the man just sitting in the corner. He seemed to be wearing ripped jeans and a denim jacket.

"You're the one from outside," She gasped, "And you were staring at me when I got off the carousel!"

The man nodded, pushing his dark hair away from his face, "I'm sorry I grabbed you," He said quietly, "But you shouldn't go near the carousel,"

Hana frowned, about to ask why, but at the mention of the carousel, she immediately remembered why she had come back into the fair. She crawled to the window section of the booth and peeked her head over it, looking at the carousel with longing eyes. It was still lit up with the gentle music playing, but there was nobody else around.

"Don't," The man said, moving a little closer to her, "Please. Let me take you home,"

"I don't know you," Hana snapped at him, "And you kidnapped me,"

"I was trying to save you," The man snapped back, "Go home tonight and hear me out in the morning. If you still don't want to listen to me, I won't stop you again,"

Hana glanced back at the carousel, but the look in the man's eyes was so full of despair and pleading that she finally nodded.

He let out a sigh of relief and reached out, taking her wrist in his hand, "This way," He said quietly, "They can't know we're here,"

The man quietly led Hana through the dark fair, weaving in and out of the stalls and avoiding any presence of life they encountered. Once they were at the main entrance, he helped her over the fence and quickly dropped down beside her.

"Promise me you'll go straight home," He said softly, "I'll know if you come back here," Hana narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth to speak, but he cut her off, "I'm not following you, if that's what you think," He turned his head back to the fair, completely dark and empty, "I'm staying nearby,"

There was silence between them for a moment and she sighed, "Fine. But I want to hear an explanation from you tomorrow,"

He nodded, his black hair a stark contrast to his skin in the dim light outside the fair, "Tomorrow morning. Ten O'clock at the Min Diner,"

She nodded, "Don't be late. I'm going to bring a friend. Sorry, I just don't trust you,"

The man smiled sadly, "I don't blame you. Go home,"

Hana turned and began to walk away, before looking back at him, "What's your name?"

"Jimin," Came the reply, "Park Jimin. Go home, now. It's late,"

Jungkook waited patiently for an hour after the fair had closed. When it was clear that there was nobody coming to look at his beautiful carousel after dark, he had his staff check the grounds for fair-goers that hadn't left yet; he could sense that there were people around before, but they had seemingly gone, so he wanted to be sure.

"There is nobody here, Boss," One man, tall and handsome said as he approached the ringmaster, "It's all clear,"

Jungkook hummed, "You are free for the night. If you leave the grounds, you know the rules,"

He stepped up onto the carousel and watched as his employees dispersed. He moved slowly around the machine, running his fingers along the bodies of the wooden unicorns until he reached a space occupied only by a long, golden pole. He stood in the empty space, looking at his beloved unicorns for a while, enjoying the tense, fearful atmosphere in the thick air around him.

"I'm sorry, my loves," He said, as the eyes of the unicorns fixated on him, "Your new friend isn't coming tonight. Perhaps tomorrow,"
