A/N: Melanie is Kehlani. Sage is Sage the Gemini.

Amaru Kelly

I had no idea where I was. I hadnt been home in days. Sonnell had snatched my phone away long before now. I was basically stuck here.

I had been to Sonnie's house numerous times but this wasnt where I had been. This was a house in a neighborhood I didnt even know existed. There was a guy that had been here twice in the past few  days to ask me if I needed anything, but other than that, I was alone.

I hadnt seen Sonnie at all since I've been here. The last night I remember seeing him was the night he had that meeting at his club which was about three days ago.  On that day was where I became disgusted with him. Even more disgusted with him than I had ever been in my life.

I knew he was in the drug business of course, but I never knew he was also pimpin' females out.

In the time I had been here all I've been doing is going over in my brain how my sister warned me a million times to not make dumb ass decisions. I didnt want to listen. My intentions were good this time though.

I was tired of living pay check to pay check. We needed money. My thoughts were that if a man wanted to give it to me, then he could. I had no problem with taking money. I just had no idea the idiot would be this type of person.

I jumped when the front door suddenly opened. I was already still in bed so I pulled the covers over my head and pretended I was asleep.

"Where's she at?" I heard a female voice ask. My face scrunched up in confusion 'cause there had always only been that guy that came here.

"Prolly in the room, ion know" I heard a male voice. It must have been the dude that had been here.

The room door opened and I quickly shut my eyes and kept up my sleeping act.

"Hey!" the female said. I pretended I didn't hear. "Hellooooo!" she tapped me. I inwardly rolled my eyes and fake woke up.

When I opened my eyes, there was a girl standing over me. She had a short light brown bob and a lot of tattoos. Even one on her face. She was eating cup noodles. She smiled at me widely. "Hi, you're Amara?"

"Amaru" I corrected. She made a 'oops' face and nodded.

"Same shit. Anyway, I was told to watch over you until your appointment" she said.

I squinted. "Appointment?"

"Yeah, duh" she said as if I was stupid. I just kept looking at her confused.

After a few seconds, her eyes widened and she choked on her noodles. "You dont know why you're here do you?" she asked me.  I shook my head no and sat up with my back against the headboard.

She stared at me for a while and nodded slowly before glancing out the room door. As if on cue, the guy I recognized from before walked in. "Tootie, you gone be straight?" he asked her.

"I'm good. You can dip" she told him. He stared at me for a moment and I finally looked him in the face for the first time. He was tall and brown skinned. He had greenish eyes and a fade. His face was super stern and his nostrils were flared a bit. He was honestly pretty intimidating.

He nodded at the Tootie girl and spoke, "Come lock the do'."

She followed him out and after a while, I heard the front door slam. Tootie came back in without the cup of noodles, but with a bottle of soda.

"How long you been here?" she sat on the bed and asked me.

I shrugged. "A few days."

"And you have no clue why Sonnie got you here?" she questioned.

I shook my head no. I was getting frustrated. I had no idea who she even was and she seemed to know more about why I was here than I did myself.

"Thats weird. Usually they know. You pregnant right?" she asked. I nodded. "My sister does abortions. She's booked up though so your appointment ain't 'til like next week."

My heart dropped and my eyes widened. "No no no, I told him I'm keeping it."

Tootie pursed her lips. "Ummm, I have to be real blunt with you there's no keepin' it when it comes to him."

"Can I make a phone call?" I asked.  I was panicking. I needed to get in contact with somebody.

"Of course not" she chuckled. "Then both you and I will be dead. No thanks. No one should know about this type of shit. No one should even know where we are or where my sister handles her business."

I sighed and rubbed my temples. My eyes started to burn and I knew the tears would fall soon. I tried to bite them back but they fell anyway.

"Oh God, are you crying? You really want to keep your kid dont you?" she looked at me confused.

"Yes! Yes, I fucking do" I cried in frustration. I was always aware that I was careless when it came to sex, but I always told myself that whatever consequences came along with it, I would deal with it. Not saying a baby is a consequence, but it was something that I knew could possibly be an outcome of my actions.

She sat her soda down. "How old are you?"

"Seventeen" I sniffled.

"Oh shit, he got a seventeen year old working in the club?" she questioned more to herself than me.

"What? I dont work there" I told her.

"What do you mean? Then why the hell are you here?"

"I'm confused" I said truthfully. I was more than confused actually.

"Usually the girls that get abortions from my sis work for him and agree to get them so they dont lose almost a year of making money" she explained.

"Umm, no. We were dating. This is his baby" I told her. After I said it, I realized that maybe I shouldnt have just blurted out that information.

"Whoa what the fuck? No wonder he's keeping this so lowkey" she said as if she had finally pieced the while situation together.

"You got family?" she asked me.

I nodded. "Yes and they're probably really trying to find me."

"Wow, this shit is crazy" she trailed off.

"Umm, can I ask who you are exactly?" I said to her.

"Melanie aka Tootie aka Sonnell's cousin aka somebody that's confused as fuck right now" she said back to me.

I sighed. "I just want to go home. I told him I would take care if my baby on my own. He doesn't care I guess" I huffed. My stomach was turning and I felt as if I had to puke.

"This is a really fucked up situation, especially because you so young. I doubt he'd just let you go on with your life and raise the baby. Too risky to just let you dip when you know so much. Wish I could help but theres honestly kinda nothin' I can do for you" she shrugged and got up leaving the room.

I just sighed as I felt tears coming on again.

All I had to do was listen.

Cato Willis

"So whats good blood?" Sonnie asked me. I decided to just tell him what went down. Shit would end worse if I just ducked off and aint say shit. It would also look suspicious on my behalf if I ended up missin' along wit' the shit he gave me.

"Nothin' much. I got some shit to tell you" I scratched my head. I was nervous as fuck. This nigga had a bad ass temper and he the type of nigga to shoot before asking questions.

"I already know. You think ion know 'bout shit that go down in my business?" he said.

I just stayed quiet 'cause I knew that shit was rhetorical.

He got up from the desk he was sitting at and sparked the blunt that been in his hand since I came in. "I got a deal for you."

I nodded, listening. "I want all the money you got jugged fo', plus 10K extra. You got two weeks and everyday that pass 'til you pay me, add 10K. If you pay me in full, we good and I wont tell Jeron shit. If ion have my shit by the time the two weeks over, its another story."

I groaned wondering how the fuck I was supposed to get this nigga all this money. I got paid good shit but I aint have the type 'uh money he wanted just sittin' 'round in my bank account. I knew damn well Rico aint have shit either. Nigga had just moved up from bein' a dope boy on the block not too long ago.

"What'chu thinkin' 'bout bruh? Aint shit to think about. Just have my money on time and we wont have no problems. You and that nigga Rico. He bein' a bitch about the shit. Nigga aint come outside in days."

I sighed. "You got a deal bruh." He smiled and dapped me up. I rolled my eyes in my head and got up to leave. On my way out, I heard his bitch ass snickering like a lil' ass kid.

I was headed out the buildin' when I spotted just the nigga I was lookin' fo'.

"Sage" I called him before he got too far away. He stopped and looked at me.

"Yeah?" he said.

"I got a question for you. Hit my line later" I said to him as I was walkin' out the door. I wasn't gone bring the shit up where we was at. Sonnell had ears everywhere and I wasn't trynna have him questionin' my motives and shit.

He already ain't trust me as it was.
