Fear. It does strange things to your body, makes you feel paralyzed as you think of every worst scenario while being in that specific situation. I could barely breath caught in fears webs.

Fear spiked my veins as I stood frozen looking at the non responsive faces around the room. "Didn't you hear me I said where's Luke?" I demanded. Vincent approached me slowly making me back up until my back hit up against something. My fists clenched as adrenaline pumped through my body readying to defend myself if needed.

"Don't worry you don't have to worry that pretty little head of yours about that puny little boy anymore" Vincent laughed darkly. Feeling hands push me forward I fell into the kitchen when Vincent's hands hoisted me up trying to grip me in his hands immobilizing my body. I threw my head forward meeting the bridge of his nose. Grunting out in pain he let go of me. The noises of chairs moving as the other men in the room rose I quickly tried moving away when something gripped my hair pulling forward a burning pain stretched across my head as strands of hair were pulled from the follicle, screaming I was pulled back into someone's grasp throwing my elbow into their side hard twice I was thrown to the ground banging my head. Despite the sharp pain shooting threw my skull I gathered myself on my feet. Rushing to the front door again someone fastened their fist in my hair making me cry out in pain, they spun me around their other hand trapping me to their chest tightly. I thrashed around furiously cussing at them, someone came up behind me stretching my skin making a shushing noise. Something sharp plunged through my skin and a few minutes later my eyes began to grow heavy as did my limbs. I tried fighting it but I slowly became a slave to whatever they put in my system.

Karma: the law of cause and effect. As you sow, so shall you reap my mothers soft but promising words rattled around my head. I began to think about everything I had done in the past that could have been the cause for all of this. But as I raked my brains torturing myself trying to come up with horrible conclusion I couldn't come up with one. I never picked on a child in school I was the one being picked on, even when my father would tell me to hit them back I never could. Although I was seven at the time my mother rared me with the notion to never lay a hand on another human only If my life depended on it. Yes I had lied before to people but they were only been little white lies nothing major enough for a consequence like being held against your own will.

Regaining feeling and consciousness of my body my eyes flew open desperately as I needed to know what was going on. I stared around the Navy coloured walls that surround me. Trying to sit up I whimpered feeling a burning pain in my wrists looking up towards the headrest I growled seeing thick rope securing my hands. I glanced around the room analyzing everything. Straight ahead in front of me was a door, on either side of the bed there stood a nightstand. To the left stood a hard oak wood wardrobe that was three times the size of mine at home. Glancing to the right I noticed a chest of drawers and another door. Pulling on my ropes hard I grinded my teeth together as little drops of crimson landed on the crisp white pillows, hearing the door knob move a little I quickly went back to how I originally was, pretending to be in my drug induced slumber state.

"She's a pretty one Theo, are you sure you like her name you can change it if you want son?" A familiar voice asked the other person in the room. I felt the vacant space on the right side of the bed sink, a hand gingerly began to move hair out of my face.

A silence hung in the air as I tried to stop an angry expression from taking over my face. Change my name? Who did this Theo guy think he is or what authority he had to do such a thing?

"No, Father I think her name suits her perfectly" he hesitantly said. I flinched feeling the tips of his fingers run across my face. I mentally kicked myself I probably blew my cover. After a short pause hung in the air before the door closed behind someone.

"You can open your eyes sweetheart I know your awake" he grumbled still stroking my cheek. My eyes slowly opened before they fell into slits. I recognized the man as one of the younger men that sat around the table mutely staring at me. He was by no means ugly he was quiet a handsome man but he clearly had something wrong with him if he thought it was normal to keep someone in your house by force and tying them up.

His hair was a rich dark brown, golden tanned skin covered him from being out in the hot sun and his eyes were a bright green with brown and gold flecks surrounding the pupil. His physique was a sheer mass of muscle, hard labor work on the farm maybe helped with that. Luke was by no means out of shape but he was always on the  lean side, we trained together in the gym nearly everyday so we both were highly toned. But this guy was three sizes bigger than Luke, he had broad shoulders compared to Luke who was kind of average you could say when it came to his shoulders. This man was some women's dreams but he wasn't mine. Luke was everything for me.

"What do you want with me?" I whispered out the displeasure leaking through my tone. His eyes looked all over my face looking for something. I don't know what exactly.

He smiled in a manner that was meant to be reassuring. "Your here for me." his eyes bore into mine searching for a reaction. My mouth dried when he said that. Here for what exactly to please him?

"If you think I'm going to just let you take advantage of me and use me as some sex slave you've got another thing coming" I growled out.

His panicked but alarmed face threw me off for a second before he opened his mouth. "I'm not here to use you like that. Your here to be my wife, my spouse, my partner" he quickly spewed out rubbing my leg. Bile began to creep its way up my neck feeling his big hands on my thigh somewhere they shouldn't be.

"I already have a partner" I snarled out spitting in his face. The rage began to consume me as I  thrashed around the bed shouting profanities at him. The door flew open to reveal Vincent's angry face, he marched towards the bed hurriedly. A warm sharp pain expanded across my face, as if a thousand tiny needles had lodged themselves in my cheek. His hand came crashing down again on my face before Theo asked him to stop.

"I will not tolerate such foul language in my house young lady!" He growled down at me as his hand that was tightly wrapped around my neck pushed me into the bed. "Now I'm sure Theo has explained why you're here, I don't want any complaining! I can understand it takes a little time to start fitting in but you will settle here nicely or there will be severe consequences. The same goes for if you try running we don't take lightly to that around here and you will be punished" he glared at me before releasing my neck. I knew a bruise would mare my neck tomorrow from the pressure he had applied.

"It's alright dad I rather take care of her myself" Theo glanced at Vincent and towards the door silently asking him to leave. A breath left my lips in relief when he left the room closing the door. "I'm sorry about him. Are you okay?" He looked at my neck reaching out towards me. Moving away from him I was restricted by the ties on my hand.

"Where's Luke?" I whispered out looking up towards the ceiling. My chest constricted in pain thinking of where or what he was going through.

A dark look shadowed over his face "You don't have to worry about him anymore. He's to wed one of my cousins after us" he stated with an edge to his tone. My heart broke into millions of pieces thinking of Luke being with another person.

"Someone will find us! You won't get away with this!" My eyes locked with his as I spoke.

He shook his head "Don't try telling yourself that darling it'll only hurt you more after years of believing you'll be saved because it won't happen. I've seen what it does to people, Hope ruins people. Eats you up from the inside until your a shell of who you once were. You should let go of your past and get comfortable here for your future," his tranquil eyes bore into mine. "I waited like my ancestors waited for their brides to land on their door and I promise you this there is no way your leaving me" he promised standing up he walked out the door leaving me to my viscous thoughts. My eyes began to droop no matter how much I wanted to keep them open I gave in to the darkness unable to keep up with the loud thoughts swarming around my head.

"Isa wake up" a soft voice made my eyes fluttered open. Again like earlier Theo lightly touched my cheeks before pecking me on the forehead making me gag internally. "Dinner is ready come on darling" he whispered untying my arms.

My arms fell down as they felt heavy and tired, without my permission he scooped me up into his arms carrying me down the stairs. I struggled in his arms once we neared the bottom of the stairs and he set me down on my own two wobbly feet. Stumbling slightly he guided me by the middle of my back into the kitchen that we were in the previous day. There wasn't that many people sat round the table as there was yesterday. I blankly looked at the seat Luke sat in yesterday wondering if he was being treated the same as I was. Vincent sat at the top of the table today to his right some other man sat beside him, adjacent to the man was a little boy no older than four years old. Emmy stood plating up the dinner as the men watched. Theo took the vacant seat beside Vincent on his left and patted the seat next to him. I begrudgingly sat down an unfriendly look covering my face. Looking at the man in the room I realized something vaguely familiar about him. And then it clicked.

I gasped as realization dawned on me "Your the bastard that gave me directions!"

Seeing his sly smirk that mimicked Vincent's stretch across his face made me lose all reasoning.
