After picking up the plate of cake and fork, (f/n) sat on the edge of her comfortable bed. The cake was fantastic. Likewise, it had the perfect balance of cake and frosting, while the cake was far from dry. Perhaps, she would have to meet the chefs of the house sometime soon, so she could thank them for the fabulous cooking.

When she finished the dessert, she decided to take Edgar's advice and get a shower. Hopefully, nothing awkward would ensue from the decision. Thus, she set the plate and fork back down on the nightstand. Afterwards, she went over to the bathroom and closed the door behind her once she entered the space.

Focusing more on the details of the bathroom this time, she realized that it could be equated to a personal spa. Antique java hardwood flooring spanned over the ground of the area, while black marble covered the walls of the bathroom. The marble further encased the porcelain deep soaker tub and lined the wall of the shower. Both the tub and shower were at the back of the bathroom, and a marble wall separated the two. A glass door sealed off the shower and prevented water from spraying out into the rest of the bathroom.

Adding to this, a black marble counter, with two glass bowl sinks and steel faucets, rested against the right wall of the bathroom. Underneath it, a black marble shelf held plush black towels. Sleek mirrors were over the sink and reflected the other side of the bathroom. Lastly, a sphere star pendant light illuminated the luxurious space.

Figuring that she would only get a shower, she grabbed one of the towels from under the sink and went over to the shower. She set the towel on the ground next to the shower and looked through the glass to see if there was shampoo, conditioner, etc. inside. Once she saw that there was, she stripped out of her clothes and shoes. Thus, she entered the space and turned on the water.

Her shower was relaxing to say the least, but she found herself constantly glancing over at the door, which led to Edgar's room. Since the glass door was see-through, she was even more paranoid about him entering the bathroom. So, she found herself increasing the pace that she took her shower. Granted, when she washed her hair, she did have to close her eyes at moments in time.

Upon her finishing with the conditioner, she opened her eyes and saw a set of clothes on the sink. Her eyes widened at this, and she wondered how she hadn't heard one of the doors open. If Edgar had set them there, then he could've very easily sneaked a glance at her. Such a thought caused an explosion of red to erupt on her cheeks. Hopefully, though, it was just one of the maids. Most definitely, she would have to ask him once she exited the shower and joined him for dinner.

Completing her showers several minutes later, she stepped out and wrapped the towel around her. She went over to the sink and examined the pile of clothes. Some of the items were a little off her size, but they would fit her nonetheless, since they were close enough.

She, thus, put on the undergarments provided to her before moving onto the lilac tank top, which had lace trim. Furthermore, she put on the matching pajama shorts, which were a little too short for her liking. Thankfully, there was a black satin robe among the articles of clothing. Once she had the robe on, she went over to her clothes and shoes and picked them up. Afterwards, she went back into her room and set them on left nightstand. Well, she put the shoes on the ground next to the nightstand.

Glancing around the room, though, she looked to see if there was a clock. (F/n) found none in the room, which irritated her slightly. She always liked knowing what time it was, so she could organize her day better. Thus, she sighed at this lack of convenience and debated on what to do next. Edgar had mentioned that dinner would be ready in about hour and that was before she had taken a shower. Moreover, she doubted that an hour had passed, and there was nothing in her room to entertain her.

Annoyingly enough, she could think of a possible alternative to staying in her room. She could cross the distance over to Edgar's room and check to see if he had a clock. If he did and there was time left before dinner, she supposed she could bother him for the rest of the time. After all, he was the one to provide her with a room with no electronics or books. So, it was only fair that he remedy the current situation. Of course, there was the possibility that he would turn her boredom against her. He could just end up teasing her for the entire time.

Well, she did have to ask him about who set the clothes in the bathroom, so she decided that she would find him after seeing if he had a clock in his room. Thus, she proceeded to enter the bathroom once more and open the door to his room. With the door open, she peeked inside and found no one there. Due to Edgar's absence, she felt a little more confident about her decision to wander into his room.

Since she was now in, she closed the door behind her and examined the place for a clock. She could hear the familiar ticking sound in the room, but she couldn't find the clock making the sound. That was the case until she found herself directed towards one of the teddy bears on one of the shelves. It wasn't a stuffed animal like the rest. Instead it was wooden clock, which was carved into a teddy bear. The said clock read: seven in the evening.

Frankly, she hadn't even realized it had become that late. Apparently, she hadn't noticed the fact that it was dark outside, when she entered her room. Technically, the dark blue curtains were pulled over the window, and she hadn't thought to pull them back. Looking out the window in Edgar's room, which had its curtains still open, she did indeed see the darkened sky outside.

With the information that she needed acquired, she went to go back to her room and exit through it. She could've left through Edgar's main room door, but if he happened to be on the other side, he would want an explanation as to why she was in his room. Granted, she could simply tell him the reason, but she presumed that he would still tease her about it.

Just as she was about to exit his room through the connecting bathroom door, she saw the main door begin to open. Quickly, she bolted for the bathroom door, but she was too late. Edgar had already seen her. Thus, she stood in an awkward position between where she was previously standing and the bathroom door. She looked as if she was snooping around his room. Maybe, she shouldn't have panicked and should've remained in her previous spot.

"Ah, (f/n), I thought you didn't want to share a room with me?" he asked with a smirk tugging at his lips.

"That statement still holds true. I was just checking the time, since there's no clock in my room," she speedily responded, pointing her left index finger at the teddy bear clock. "Now, that I've done that I'll take my leave," she commented, laughing nervously and inching closer towards the bathroom door.

"If that were the case, why did you attempt to run?" he questioned furthered, as he leaned against the main door's doorframe.

"Umm ... I didn't want you to find me in your room," she quietly voiced. Realizing, though, that her sheepish behavior was probably only making matters worse, she added in a louder voice, "I didn't want you to tease me."

"So, that's your reason. What a shame," he uttered, looking thoroughly disappointed. "And here I thought that you were trying to find some hidden secret about me. That would've been a much more interesting reason, but I'm glad that you weren't trying to invade my privacy. It's nice to know that I can trust you."

"Wait, so you believe me, then?" she inquired, slightly baffled by his acceptance of her explanation.

"I can tell that you speak the truth. I could see it in your eyes, when you gave your reason for being in here. Granted," he started but paused, as he pushed himself off the doorframe and proceeded to come closer to her. Continuing, he said with a neutral expression, "I was hoping that another reason might be that you were in here as a present."

Noticing that he had looked over her attire, she blushed and grabbed the nearest object, which happened to be a teddy bear. With no hesitation, she threw it at him, but he merely caught it. He proceeded to shake his head in disappointment, as he locked his visible green eye with her gaze.

"I thought you respected toys, (f/n). Was I wrong in making that assumption?" he inquired, as he looked down at the teddy bear. There was a tinge of disappointment and anger in his voice, but he was faking it. He knew that she was merely embarrassed and wouldn't have committed such an action under normal circumstances. Still, he desired to see the look of regret on her countenance; he just loved controlling her emotions.

As expected, she gave him what he wanted. Ruing slightly what she had done, she answered, "I do appreciate toys for their worth, and I didn't mean to throw that teddy bear. You provoked me, though."

"Oh, you had the choice to not throw the bear, though. Don't place the blame on me, (f/n)."

Looking to her right side, she focused her attention away from him. "Fine, I'm sorry. Will that satisfy you?"

"Hmm, just come over here and take the bear back. Afterwards, place it back on the shelf. Then, I'll accept your apology," he replied, holding out the bear and waiting for her to take it. He couldn't help but smile inwardly when she began to come towards him.
