You pulled up to the party. You both opened your doors and closed them. It seemed like people were already starting to show up.

The music could be heard from outside. You knocked on the door and a few moments later Osamu appeared at the doorway.

"Hey." He looked between you and Rin.

"Hey." Rin followed his eyes.

"Come in, A bunch of people are here already."

"K." You mumbled.

You felt someone grab your hand. You looked up and it was Rin. Looks like he knew. You both walked into the party and followed Osamu to the corner of the room where a couch sat and your friends were scattered around it.

"Hey Y/n! Suna!" Misa smiled.

Osamu walked up to her and ruffled her hair, which made her blush a little. "You guys are so obvious." You chuckled.

"They are." Rin agreed.

"Oh shut up y/n." Misa playfully rolled her eyes.

You sat down somewhere on the couch and Rin sat behind you. You both looked around the room. You spotted Emiko picking at her red nails. She looked more devious than normal. She had that same look on her face another time you couldn't forget.

"Hey Suna." She smirked.

"Hey." Rin responded, bored expression as always.

"So what are you doing tomorrow? I need help with my homework." She flirted bringing his attention to the way she said 'homework'.

"I'll probably be busy. Go get someone else to help you."

"Oh? Is that so? Doing what?"

"I might be at Y/n's or Osamu's depends."

"That sounds fun~" You payed close attention to the way she talked to him. Dragging out some of her words and talking in a higher pitch.

You hated this, but only because you knew what she was doing, He didn't.

"Rin, I'm gonna go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." You stood up and looked your friend dead in her eyes.

"Oh? Ok." He nodded.

You left, into the crowd were you found a bathroom. You knocked and got no answer so you went in and luckily you didn't walk in on anyone.

You splashed water in your face and tried to get over it but you couldn't. She wasn't into Rin because she caught feelings, she was doing this because you seemed into him. She did the same thing to Kane. That really pushed you over the edge.

You walked out of the bathroom and bumped into someone. You looked up, hazel eyes meeting yours. You backed away realizing who it was.

"Y/n?" The masculine voice rang.

"Kane..." you looked away from him.

A worried expression crept on his face. He tilted your face towards him and looked you in the eyes, "Are you ok?"

You smacked his hand away from you, "No."

"What? I mean I'm sorry about what happened-"

"No you're not."

"Oh so you forgive Emiko but not me?"

"First of all! I've been friends with Emi longer than you, secondly, what you did was worse than what she did so!"

"Listen-" he started as you started to walk away, "Y/n!"

You walked until you bumped into someone else. You looked up at an obviously bleached hair with brown roots. You recognized this as it was your online friend.

"Oh my bad- wait, y/n?" Kenma raised a brow.

"Oh hey kenma."

"Hey. I didn't think I'd see you here."

"Yeah me neither. I'm here with some friends."

"Same. I was dragged again."

You chuckled a little, "Hey Misa's back in the corner of the room. If you wanna go?"

"Oh ok yeah I'll go say hi."

"Mk."

You walked through the crowd of people until you reached the corner where the couch was and Misa smiled talking to Osamu.

"Hey! Kozume!" She ran up to the boy.

"Hey misa."

Osamu tilted his head a little trying to figure out who it was talking to his best friend.

"Hey." A deeper voice whispered in your ear causing you to jump at the suden air hitting your ear.

"Oh my god Rin don't do that." You sighed.

"Haha you got scared."

"So?"

"Who's the guy?"

"An online friend. Why?"

"No reason."

The party met its bitter end and you said goodbye to all your friends and left letting Kenma know you'd talk to him later and catch up.

You walked along the street with a concerned look on your face. You had so many things on your mind, especially Kane.

You hated how he just expected you to get over what happened between you two. What he did, what Emiko did. You walked inside the house to a lot of yelling. You didn't want to be super bothered by it so you plugged your headphones in and took off your shoes.

You tried being as quiet as possible as you went upstairs but you made a few noises. They could be covered by the yelling between your parents.

Love was such a complicated thing to you. You either loved someone or you didn't. You wouldn't be able to ever cheat on your partner. It took you months to get over Misa, but to go behind your lover's back and go date someone else? It was too much.

You fell on your bed and looked at the wall, letting your music consume you. You had so many things on your mind.

What if I just left right now? Would they even notice? Would they even care...

Those kind of thoughts made your eyes tear up. You just wanted someone near you. You wanted...

A comfort?

Short chapter today! I thought I'd do something different. Yes this book is going very slowly. But that's the thing with slow burn so stick with it please 😃
