How do you get yourself into a situation where your so confused?

Weather it's because of someone else or it's because of you.

Well I guess I'd be a living example of that.

You didn't fight with Rin often but this time you were afraid it was serious.

You weren't even sure what it was about. Something about his ex, you just knew it escalated quickly.

Now, a week later, you were sitting in your room, blasting music to try and distract you from anything else.

Your parents were mad at each other too, how ironic.

You weren't sure why but you honestly couldn't care less. You had gotten 0-3 hours of sleep each night. You skipped a lot of school, stopped eating. It wasn't all because of him. It was the fact that you let yourself become soft, to try and trust people again.

Now you had to deal with the uncomfortable situation you put yourself in. You wanted to apologize but you were felt just a little too annoyed to do it.

You got a call, it interrupted your music. You checked the contact and picked up.

"Y/n?" Misa's worried voice chimed through the phone.

"Yeah." You mumbled.

"You didn't go to class today. You haven't been going to school lately, I'm worried."

"It's fine. I've been skipping because it's boring." You shrugged.

"Yeah but..."

"What?"

"You should come tomorrow, just see how you feel yeah?"

"I'll try."

"Alright bye."

"Bye."

You hung up. You didn't want to go to school and have to see Rin again. The last time you went, you couldn't even look him in the eyes.

Your head hit your pillow as your music continued to play, you fell asleep.

••••••••••••••
"You know you want me back." Akihiro smirked, her foot placed on the chair right beside Rin.

Her thigh lining up with his waist.

"I thought I told you, I don't care what you think. I want to be with Y/n."

"No you don't, your just sayin that.. right?"

"Akihiro," he went to Move her thigh, trying to escape whatever she was trying to do.

You turned the corner then, catching them both. Akihiro had a smirk on her face, Rin's blank.

You gasped a little, they both turned towards you. Rin's eyes widened a bit.

You bowed, "Sorry, I didn't mean to." Before swiftly walking away.

You didn't feel tears run down your face. You felt numb.

You felt a hand grab your wrist, you turned around, and immediately snatched your hand away from his, "Don't grab me." You calmly demanded.

"Wait!"

"No, I don't want to hear it." You shook your head.

"Y/n-"

"Whatever you have to say Ive already heard it I don't need the excuses."

"You don't even know what I'm gonna say."

"I don't need to-"

"Sure, and let's say I do have a valid reason you ended up seeing what you did!?"

"I doubt it."

"Just listen!"

That's when you felt them, tears. It had been a little bit since you cried, "Shut up! I don't give a damn what you do! We're not even together so It doesn't matter!"

He was heartbroken, he'd never think something like that could break him the way it did.

"Y/n, if you'd give me a second to explain, instead of getting so protective! I'm not trying to hurt you."

"I don't care what you are or are not trying to do." You mumbled.

"Hey, listen... I know it hurts but.."

"You talk like you know how it feels!"

"What- you know what, I can't deal with you like this, talk to me when you're not pissy." He turned to leave.

"Then leave!"

Your hands began to shake. You knew this feeling too well.

You stood up and left. You entered your house through the window so your Parents wouldn't have to see you the way you were.

Puffy eyes, messy hair, and extremely tired wouldn't be something you'd want to see your child walk into the house like.

You fell on top of your bed but you didn't sleep.

It was like that for a week. Your parents' constant fighting didn't help either.

••••••••••••••

You felt your eyes slowly lift. You reached for something, maybe someone. But there was nothing.

You sat up, and checked the time. It read 5:21.

You got up, showered, rubbed a cold spoon around your eyes, and got some coffee.

You got to school and Misa walked you to all your classes. She had no idea what was going on but she could tell you needed the support.

She didn't ask questions, didn't bother you, she was just there.

You got a small glance at Rin, that was it though. He looked annoyed.

You sat down at your seat. Your head remained down. He said nothing, you said nothing. There was a silence that felt somewhat unsettling.

As soon as that bell ringed you felt so much more relieved. You let out a sigh. He looked at you, nothing more but sorrow.

You got up to leave the class before you regret going to school anymore.

"Y/n..." he mumbled.

"What."

"Can i talk to you?"

"For what?"

"You know why."

You hesitated, "I'm not letting you give me one of those 'It's not what you think' excuses if that's what you think."

"Just please, let me at least tell you what happened. If you don't like it, you don't have to listen."

"Fine."

You followed him out the classroom. To an empty classroom.

"Why here?" You mumbled.

"No one will be able to bother us here." He shrugged.

You sat down on a desk and looked out the window. The sun still up in the sky.

"Uhm," he played with his hands, "Listen, you understand who my ex is right?"

"Yeah."

He slammed both his hands next to you on the desk, still looking you dead in the eyes, "Then why the hell do you think I'd want to get back with her? You know why she does this, no?"

"No."

"She's got issues. She's used to things just being handed over to her."

"But then why-"

"I was moving her so I could leave, I don't like her. Not one bit. She's annoying."

"I- I'm sorr-"

He grabbed your face, kissing you roughly on the lips. When you both pulled away, he whispered, "I am in love with you, and no other person in this world can compare. You'll always be my number one."

You nodded, "I'm sorry Rin."

"You don't need to apologize. People take advantage of you way too often."

You kissed him again, this time you didn't really know what you were doing, you just knew it was something you had to do.

"I'm in love with you as well." You confessed for the second time.

"Then who cares about Akihito?" He chuckled.

You giggled a little bit.

{god I hate the word giggle}

"Hey let's go to my house." Rin suggested.

"Yeah that's fine.  I don't wanna go back to mine anyways."

You followed him out the empty classroom and into the parking lot.

You went back to his house. His room was the same, small little things were out of order. He had two empty bottles of melatonin sitting on his nightstand that weren't there before.

He softly brushed them with his fingers. He then took the bottles and tossed them in the trash can in the corner of his room.

He sat down on the bed, pulled you on his lap, and kissed you on the jaw line.

He slowly traveled to your lips. You kissed him back. It was a long kiss too, craved and a little messy.

When you both pulled away you smiled,"You're as clingy as ever."

"Yeah yeah, let me have my fun I haven't gotten as much attention as usual." He mumbled in a low tone.

You pulled him into another passionate kiss, this one escalating into a make out session.

He pulled away, looking you dead in the eyes, "I'm sorry, but I can't do this anymore. I need to ask you something."

"Yeah?" You were confused.

"What are we?"
