5 years later

I stared in the mirror, dressed up in this beautiful dress. It was perfect for the occasion, yet it made me feel more nervous for some reason.

      'y/n, are you ready?' Taehyung shouted from downstairs and I threw one last glance at myself in the mirror.

Yes, I'm ready

I walked down the stairs and as soon as Taehyung saw me his mouth dropped.

Still after all this time my stomach made a turn whenever he did that.

    'You look perfect, angel' he eventually said while embracing me.

    'Thank you tae' I replied, but I also had a moment to scan his outfit and man was I lucky. He was wearing dark blue plants and a lighter color shirt.

It was a slim but perfect fit.

      'Let's go'

He gently took my hand and we made our way towards the car together.

Together from our home as I, after not too long when we got back together, moved into his house. It made more sense anyways and to be honest the place was a hundred times better than my apartment.

Eventually we arrived at the location. I was still so nervous for some reason, though, I guess your graduation event is always nerve wrecking for everyone. As soon as we arrived Ms Lee approached me

      'Welcome y/n, you look marvelous.. We will first have the ceremony so you can join the other graduates while your ...' she looked at Taehyung 'boyfriend can sit down' there was this hesitation, perhaps considering whether or not it was my husband, she didn't dare to look at our hands as it seems.

      'Thank you, my family will also join. can I first welcome them and then join the others?'

Ms lee looked at her watch  

     'yes ofcourse, but be sure to go in about 10 minutes alright?'

I nodded my head to indicate I understood.

      'Where could they be?' I impatiently and nervously said. Taehyung grabbed my shoulders softly 'hey they will be here, relax my love'

I smiled, because of his calmness and instructions I actually did feel more calm.

then he looked to the side

      'ah they arrived'

I followed his gaze to see how Jungkook was pushing fathers wheelchair into the art exhibition, followed by ji-eun and their little daughter in her arms.

They moved to Seoul a few weeks after my call with Jungkook back then. He finally visited father and they had a heart-to-heart. It really did father good as well. 

      'Sorry we are late' Jungkook immediately apologized. I shook my head and hugged him.

      'No worries you are in time'

I also hugged dad and Ji-eun shortly

      'auuuuntie' my niece let out and I flicked her nose and kissed her forehead. 'hi, little angel'

      'okay I go now, see you after the presentation, okay?' I addressed everyone. They all nodded and I left.

Eventually I received my diploma in arts, and specifically in painting. Everyone was clapping enthusiastically, especially Taehyung was super excited, which ofcourse warmed my heart. He had been so supportive throughout the years, always proud and excited when I showed him something we had to make in class.

We had decided to have a celebration in the bar after the graduation event. Taehyung's parents would also join, as well as Yoongi. I mean for the graduation it was a bit much to invite all of them but it was nice as a celebration in the bar. 

Jungkook got the key from his pockets as he was now mainly the owner. I took one shift on Friday evening because I still really enjoyed it. and especially back when Jungkook's baby was born I took many of his shifts.

We sat at a table and opened a bottle of wine. We all raised our glasses, ready to toast

      'I'd like to say a few words..' Taehyung indicated and everyone became quiet 'today we celebrate the fact that my beautiful fiancé y/n received her diploma in the arts. as she should. and I am sure that, with her talent, this is the start of a prosperous career in painting.'

We all toasted and I looked at Taehyung with loving eyes, grateful for his words but also for just him. I took his hand and he gave me a boxy smile 'I am so proud of you angel'

then the door opened and yoongi walked in with his wife

       'yooooongi' Jungkook let out, for some reason the both of them really bonded and were now the best of pals. I mean Yoongi knew Jungkook as well from before but now they really connected. 

I also greeted and thanked both of them for coming.

We expanded the table by adding two chairs. though not much later Tae's parents also suddenly walked in.

We both got up and greeted them. Tae's dad sat next to my father and mrs kim next to him.

We consumed multiple bottles of wine between our group and I was having a great time. Plus it was really a happy moment; not only did I receive the diploma I actually dreamed of but I was also in company of all the people I loved. After everything that happened five years ago I sometimes caught myself thinking that maybe, just maybe, I wasn't that lucky and I should accept life. but now I was at a moment in life in which I was more than lucky.

      'y/n, Taehyung' I heard the automatic voice from my dads tablet say, which diverted my attention towards him.

       'When is your wedding?' he typed 

       'dad' I hissed, hoping nobody actually heard or noticed dad's sudden request. But that was obviously not the case as it became silent.

        'no I agree, you guys have been engaged for forever already. We want that wedding' Mr Kim chipped in. both mine and tae's eyes went from my dad to his.

        'yes sis, even I got married before you' Jungkook chuckled

        'and me' Yoongi added

I rolled my eyes playfully, were they really doing this.

Eventually after looking at them all, my eyes landed on Taehyung 

      'So what is the answer y/n?' he asked and I playfully hit him

       'hmm I think I am free in exactly a month' I joked.

        'then it's decided' he said but it didn't seem he was joking

         'You're serious?' I asked, we did occasionally talk about a wedding after I graduated but not really setting a date etc.

         'if you are, yes' he answered while putting his arm around me.

I looked around and everyone was looking at us with great anticipation.

I guess I already knew my answer, it was the easiest decision I had to make. Taehyung had waited so patiently for me to be ready and this time I was a 100% sure about my answer.

I smiled at him

      'Next month sounds perfect'
