Taehyung pov

This moment might mark the most frustrated I had been in a while. Why was she so reluctant to give me her number?

I threw one last glance back at y/n before leaving the bar to continue our epic pub crawl.

Though the further we went into the night and the more drinks I consumed I noticed that the entire time I was thinking about her

"you'd have to do better"

Her words echoed through my mind.

What does that even mean?

It was my idea to buy the most expensive bottle of red wine, and I gave her a generous tip.

What could be better?

y/n pov

The following day I woke up, and I hated to admit that the first thing I thought of was Taehyung.

Should I have just given him my number?

No, no, it was better like this. I mean think about that Ara girl, if that is what his relationships are like it's just not for me.

I got up and made myself ready to visit father, I tried to go every Saturday, but sometimes I just couldn't make it.

I took the bus to the nursing home.

'How is he today?' I asked Hea as she opened the door, she shook her head a little bit.

     'Not bad, not good either.'

'Thank you Hea' I said and she gave me a smile.

I stepped inside the small living room and saw father watching tv.

       'hey dad'

His face lit up when he saw me, or to the extent that was possible. I could see the twinkles in his eyes though.

He typed something on the tablet which was connected to his wheelchair, and the technology voice spoke his typed words out loud.

Hi little one

We chatted for a bit. I mean it was hard to have long conversations because he had to type everything on the tablet.

You look tired y/n, you are not overworking yourself?

he continued typing

You should sell the bar to pay for my medical bills and then live your own life

I swallowed and then shook my head, it wasn't the first time this came up. Father felt guilty and worried a lot about me paying for the bills.

'I told you your bar is so successful that I only need to work there, and there is enough money to pay for your medical care and for me to live comfortably, so stop worrying yourself.'

I know that lying is bad, and normally I would refrain from it but father shouldn't concern himself even more.

     'Will you come by soon?' I asked even though I already knew the answer;

He wouldn't, it reminded him too much of the good times, when mom was still by his side and they managed the place together.

He shook his head and types something

Sorry little one

I took his hand 'you have nothing to be sorry for father.'

Is there any news on your brother? Father asked.

I shook my head as I hadn't talked to my brother in months. Dad knew his son had lost the right path ever since the accident but he would always inquire after him, probably hoping that there would come some good news one day.

'Hey, shall we go for a walk in the park?' I asked because next to the nursing home was a park. He nodded and I got up and took the handles of the wheelchair to push him forwards.

When I got home I took more time to prepare dinner, it was a sort of ritual. Like a moment to relax for myself.

Eventually, I had to go to the bar though for my usual shift.

I watched an episode of my favorite drama and after left towards the bar to free Yoongi from his work.

'How was your dad?' he asked

'Nothing changed much. his spirits are low but I hardly saw them high ever since that day.'

Yoongi hummed a little, with this compassion in his eyes.

'so do you have any nice Saturday evening plans? a nice date planned or something?' I asked to change the topic

'With whom should I even have a date?'

'I don't know, enough girls that would kill for such an opportunity. I still frequently get questions about you.'

'and tell me y/n, would you be one of those girls who would kill for that?'

I made a funny face

'Of course, that's why you aren't going on a date tonight. I always kill anyone who wants to date you.'

The sound of Yoongi's laughter filled the bar.

'In that case..., perhaps we could.. '

'Hey could I get two beers please?' a man asked in an impatient tone interrupting our conversation.

'I uh should get that.' I said to Yoongi and he looked away.

I hadn't really noticed that there were more customers waiting in line for a drink.

'Hey you should go home and enjoy your free evening' I said in between orders to Yoongi.

'Yes sure y/n, see you on Tuesday!'

Near the closing time the place had almost been cleared out. I caught myself thinking about Taehyung again. It might have been the tenth time today.. There was no denying that I was pretty curious, especially when his friend called him one of the richest bachelors.

I mean what could he do as a profession that made him that rich? I took out my phone and decided to google him, maybe he had a LinkedIn profile or something.

Surprisingly he had his own Wikipedia page. What was that all about?

I heard the door open 'Welcome' I said as a greeting, I quickly looked up and to my surprise, I saw Taehyung.

My heart made a little jump and I dropped my phone out of shock.

'W-what are you doing here?' I asked as an initial question and then shook my head

'I mean, can I get you anything.'

He sat down on the barstool.

      'Just a beer please.'

I scanned him, his hair was curly and fluffy. not as I had seen it before, it looked more natural and like a laid-back look. and the most striking was how he wasn't wearing a suit but a grey hoodie. I put the beer in front of him,

'so y/n....' he started and his eyes went down to the bar, and a sly smirk appeared on his face.

     'Why were you googling me?'

My face heated up and I knew I was turning red, so I quickly turned around.

'No need to be shy, but as I am here now you can just ask me whatever it is you wish to know.'
