"Put this on." I ignore the dress Ophelia throws at me, adjusting myself properly on her bed.

The bed of beds.

"Try this on too." She throws another.

Can she not see how I'm effortlessly ignoring her?

I watch her as she digs through her closet before looking back and realization hits her.

"Freya," she shook her head at me, seeing the uncountable clothes littered around the floor and on the bed.

"I don't wanna go to this stupid party." I grumble as she moves towards me.

"Well you don't have a choice because I'm not letting you sleep on this bed any longer." She takes my hands, pulling me up from my laying position to sit.

I'm suppose to be spending my Friday night on my bed or Ophelia's bed watching re-runs of Friends or A nightmare on elm street with tons of snacks or junk food. But my over hyped bestie prefers we go to a party, where a bunch of teenagers make-out grossly, throw up and pass out.

Can I just be a teenager and not be a teenager?

My left brow arch itself when I spot a piece of material some might call a dress, laying beside me.

"You expect me to wear this?" The dress is so short, I don't think it would go below my butt cheeks.

Ophelia laughs, seeing my questioning look before picking up another dress.

"How about this one?" I shook my head in disapproval.

This went on for some couple minutes and I honestly couldn't thank Jacob enough for saving me from Ophelia's clothes mayhem. He walks in and snickers as his eyes travels round the room.

"Y'all are wild animals." I shove my middle finger at him. Ophelia pays no attention to him, still looking for something for me to wear.

He sticks out his tongue and I roll my eyes. "You guys will have to drive yourselves. Dylan is already pissed I still haven't gotta there yet. I can't wait for you guys again--" he checks his wristwatch, "the party started two hours ago."

Ophelia lets out a chuckle. "Who asked you to wait for us? I'm driving us there." Jacob's expression switches to that of someone who's about to murder someone.

"I wanna kill you so bad Ophelia." Jacob points his finger at her with a squint of his eyes.

"This is the last time I will ever offer to drive you guys somewhere." He puts both hands on his waist and I mentally picture him wearing a skirt.

"Yay! I found the perfect outfit for you." I direct my attention to Ophelia. She holds up a white short golf skirt with a black corset tube top.

I smile and take them from her. "You know me so well." I actually like what she's simply put together.

"Geez Freya, you wear skirts too?" I pick up a boot and throw it at Jacob, which he successfully dodges. He burst into laughter at my failed attempt.

"Fuck your athletic reflexes." He blows me a kiss, making me groan.

"Jacob get the fuck outta my room." Ophelia had striped off her jeans and shirt she had on, paying zero attention to Jacob and I, who are both mentally plotting ways to kill each other.

"Are you guys even old enough to go to a party?" I hear Ophelia release a breath.

He knows Ophelia is his twin and we are all the same age, right?

"Just admit you love spending time with us." Ophelia says to him.

"I'd rather get eaten by a shark or---"

"GET THE FUCK OUT!" We both say in unison.

Finally, Jacob leaves. But not before saying some dumb shit. He doesn't need to tell us how much he enjoys our company, we clearly see it.

We change into our outfits. Since I'm a little less skinner than Ophelia, the top is almost too tight but I like it. The skirt stops mid-thigh and I pair them with black combat boots.

Ophelia picks out a fitted zebra print mini dress with apple-green coloured strapy heels.

"Is the party Euphoria themed?" She laughs as she applies lipgloss on my lips. I just had to tell her I don't wanna wear makeup because of how stressful it is.

But she forced me to sit down in front of her vanity mirror, while she adds sparkle, little diamond and graphic liner on my face.

I like how I look though, so it's totally worth it.

"Do you know if Cade is gonna be there?" Ophelia suddenly ask as I pack my hair into a low ponytail, while she retouches her makeup again.

"Not really." I shrug.

"But Zayn usually goes to these things, so he might tag along as well." She tried to sound casual, but I could hear the hope in her voice.

"Why are you taking so darn long to tell him you like him?" I sit on the edge of her table, my arms crossed under my chest.

She shoots her eyes at me like I just uttered the most unbelievable thing.

"Okay let me give you a couple of reasons." She stands up and clears her throat.

"Firstly, he's new and I told you I wanna change. I can't just do that except I wanna scare him off." Fair point.

"Secondly, I wanna spend time with him to actually know him and for him to know me as well and like me back. I don't want to jump into some momentarily relationship. I'm done with that." I laugh as she counts the numbers with her fingers.

"And lastly, I want to give a chance to.....real love." I understand what she means perfectly, but the last one isn't an assurance.

"Isn't it a bit absurd that you're pinning you're whole 'first time love experience' on a guy you just met?" I ask with worry, mindlessly making air quotes.

"That's why I want to get to know him first," she holds my fingers, "and don't make air quotes. It's real." I relax, seeing how positive she is about this.

I let a smile spread on my lips. "But if he or anyone hurts you, I'll fucking send hitmen and assassins after them." I state with all seriousness and she laughs.

"And one more thing," she calls out when we starts leaving.

"You can't tell him I like him."

Baby I think it's pretty clear but instead, I nod and say, "okay."

"Why the fuck did I agree to come to this?" I voice out,
internally cussing at myself as well.

The music is already blasting loudly from inside the mansion. Teenagers are littered around the front yard.

"Just chill Freya, we are gonna have a good time." Ophelia parks the car in an open space in the spacious compound, before we step out.

I easily spot Jacob and Dylan at the end of the very large living room as we enter the house. The windows are open thankfully. Lord only knows how this place would've smelt with all the sweat and drinks.

I can even smell puke somewhere.

Why am I here?

Stop being such a kill joy Freya!

They wave at us, signaling us to come over. Ophelia and I intertwine our fingers as we walk through the crowd. I'm a hundred percent sure I'll get lost in it, although the place is spacious.

"Took you guys long enough." Dylan didn't even let us get to them before outbursting his, well outburst. He didn't stop his eyes from roaming over Ophelia's body like some hypnotized dog.

Can dogs be hypnotized?

"Wow," he smiles and awkwardly scratches the back of his head. Ophelia gives him an unamused expression and his lips parts to say something, but Jacob slaps his head before he could.

He yelps. "The fuck was that for?" He rubs the spot with a pained face.

"Stop eye-fucking my sister." Ophelia immediately gives an "Ewww" sound before going around the pool table to get a drink.

Dylan sends me a smile and I flash him one as well. Dylan is Daya's older brother. We are all senior and Daya was originally suppose to be a year behind us, but they moved her a grade higher, cause she has like magic brains or some shit like that.

Dylan has had a crush on Ophelia since we were kids, but she never agreed to go out with him. Plus, he's Jacob's best friend. So Jacob prohibited it from ever happening, although he didn't need to because Ophelia wasn't interested.

"Just the fucking energy I need right now." I turn to Jacob, witnessing his fallen expression. I follow his eyes to meet Daya and April coming towards us through the crowd.

Fun fact; Jacob dates Dylan's sister but Dylan can't date Jacob's own. What a weird friendship they have.

"You haven't broken up with her, have you?" I ask and we all give him a knowing look.

He proved us right by nodding his head reluctantly. "Jesus dude!" Dylan smacks his arm, but Jacob looked at us like a lost puppy.

"Look how miserable you are. I love my sister but she's not one for a committed relationship. I warned you but you just went ahead and ignored me." He turns to Ophelia who stands besides him with a solo cup in her hand.

"She's like this one here." Dylan gestures his hand all over her face.

"Hey what did I do?" Ophelia throws her hands in the air.

"It's not that simple guys." Jacob fills up a cup with punch and drinks it in one go. I'm definitely sure alcohol is mixed in that punch.

"You guys know nothing about love." Jacob's words were meant to be harmless, but I actually felt kinda hurt.

I mouth an, "Okay," clearly respecting Jacob's choice to handle his love life alone.

"Shit." Dylan spits out, while Ophelia's focus drowns back on her phone.

"If love makes someone this miserable, then I rather not know anything about it." He adds and Ophelia laughs.

Jacob sends daggers his way, making him throws up his hands in mock surrender. Before any of us could say anything, a loud squeal erupts from behind me and I recognised it to be Daya's.

"Baby!" She rushes to Jacob, throwing her arms up and hooks them around his neck.

"Hey---" she hardly lets him speak before shoving her face to his. I'm not gonna lie, they actually look good together.

He wraps his hand around her and just like that, they started a full out make-out session right in front of us.

I hate PDA.

It's so fucking not me or something I can do.

Maybe it's because you've never loved anyone in your fucking life

I ignore the bitch in my head.

April comes from behind me and stands besides me. She flashes me a little smile, "Hey."

"Hey." I throw her a thin smile. Her face turns down when she see Ophelia who is still busy with her phone.

"You know, you should really put what happened between you guys behind you." She's not entirely the friendliest person, but she was good friend.

"Mind your business Freya." I've gotten two strikes already. This is what happens when I try to care for people.

Way to go.

She goes over to Dylan and they start conversing. Daya and Jacob didn't look like they were done searching each other's mouth anytime soon and Ophelia is still fixed on her phone. Leaving me to mentally question my choice of coming here.

I turn away from them, placing my butt on the edge of the pool table. People seemed to be enjoying the party. Some are dancing and as usual, others are making disturbing PDA.

I spot two tall human, resting on the walls of the house in a corner. They are conversing like always. A chuckle escapes my lips when I notice them ignore the girls around them. The needy girl are desperately trying to get their attention and talk to them.

Cade drinks from his solo cup, although the roaming of his eyes looks like he's looking for something. The room isn't dark, so it's easy to see his face clearly.

His eyes searched the room until they met mine. He smiles and waves at me. Zayn looks to our direction at his wave and smiles too. I wave back and they began making their way towards us.
