Chatters and laughs, the sound of balls rolling and soft music playing at the background of the little crowded room fills my ears as I check my phone for the hundredth time.

Over thirty minutes has passed and they are still not here.

I'm the first to arrive at Trent's Avenue. I'm currently at the bowling alley, waiting for the guys to come. Zayn and I were supposed to come together, but his Dad called him for a minor emergency. So he'll be here later than planned.

I wanted to wait for him but he insisted I come here first and wait for the girls. I would've called them to know where they are, but I still don't have their numbers.

"Hey do you want anything else?" A blonde female waitress ask me, while she serves the drinks I ordered for.

"No thanks." I look at the food and beverages I ordered and started regretting buying them way too early, especially since none of them are here yet.

"Kinda rethinking my choice of ordering too early." I tell her with a little smile.

"Are you here alone?" The girl ask. She looks around my age.

"Cause I can get off work and come accompany you. My shift is almost over." She adds before I could respond.

"Then you won't have to eat and drink alone." She smiles with a hopeful look in her eyes.

One of these moments again.

"No thanks. I'm waiting for my people." Her face falls momentarily, but it was quick to change again.

"Well I can still stay with you till they get here." She pulls off her red cap and unties her red matching little apron off her waist.

"No it's oka-"

"Cade!" I get caught off when someone I recognise sounds like Ophelia call out my name. The girl and I both swipe our heads to the entrance of the hall and that's when I saw them.

There stood Freya and Ophelia, before they started walking up to me.

The first thing I notice is the white mini golf skirt Freya has on, with black fishnet and black combat boots.

She's wearing these fucking mini skirts again.

"Cade? That's your name?" I hear the girl ask but my eyes are helplessly fixated on the brown haired girl that looks like she wants to be anywhere else but here.

"I'm guessing those girls are your people." I detected the jealously and distaste from the girl's tone.

I don't respond to her and she takes that as a clue to walk away. But not before the expected move they all do.

"Here's my number." I look at her to see her handing a little paper to me with a sly smile on her face.

"I'll see you around Cade." She walks off just before the girls got to me. I didn't get the chance to glance over the paper before Ophelia spoke up.

"Another tasty bitch right?" She takes the paper from my hand and tore it up. I could only chuckle at her action.

My eyes land on Freya who is standing besides Ophelia, avoiding eye contact with me once again. She's wearing a different oversized brown hoodie with ‘I love Skater boys’ printed on it.

For some reason, I smiled helplessly knowing she might actually like boys who skate. I have no clue what Freya likes, which is something I have to change.

"Why don't you tell them off? They'll keep leashing on you if just stand and smile at them." Ophelia says, glaring at me.

"If you guys had come earlier, you would've handled her for me. But I honestly don't like telling them off. I don't know why." I elaborate.

"Maybe it's because you haven't found a reason to." Freya says unexpectedly. Ophelia and I stare at her, but she looks at us like she didn't just say anything.

Because I haven't found a reason to?

What does she mean by that?

"Have you been here for long?" Freya changes the subject, looking as innocent and pretty as ever.

"Yeah, for almost an hour."

"I kinda made us come late." Ophelia states, causing Freya to glare at her.

"Sorry." She adds, fanning her eyelashes.

"No it's cool, just remind me not to be the first to arrive next time we all plan to go out." I point out and we all laugh.

"Well it's a good thing you got blondie over there to keep you company." Freya gestures her head to the waitress, who is now attending to other customers.

I didn't wanna dwell on it, but I couldn't help but feel like she didn't mean that casually. Although her expression didn't give off anything.

"Where is Zayn?" Ophelia looks around for him.

"He had something to do at home. He'll meet us here." She nods in understanding.

"Okay let's get bowling." Ophelia cheers excitedly, attracting other people around us. But like always, she doesn't care.

"Oh you've ordered nacho balls already." Ophelia makes her way to our table, while Freya stays with me.

"Are you okay?" I ask her, bringing her eyes to me. My heart does that thing it does when my eyes connects with her hazel orbs.

"Do I not look okay?" A little smile spread on lips.

"You're quiet and you look bored."

"You've been around me for quite sometime Cade, you should know this is how I normally am." She chuckles lightly before going to our table too.

Obviously, I'm familiar with Freya's nature but I just wanted to talk to her. Even if it was for a stupid or obvious reason.

We start bowling just about that time. We agreed to play individually with just one frame each. The first person to knock all pins down will be the winner.

Ophelia was leading out of the three of us. Her first throw almost knocked down the ten pins.

"Yessss!!! Mama's got her bowling on." Ophelia cheers proudly, expressing her joy by moon walking, which caused Freya and I to laugh.

I play next and my throw was almost as good as Ophelia's. "Not bad honeybun." I chuckle at Ophelia's nickname for me.

I suddenly started feeling strong gaze on me and I was right. Freya was staring at me intensively when I looked at her and surprisingly she holds eye contact with me longer than other times.

"Chop chop Freya, it's your turn sweetheart." Ophelia breaks our unexpected gaze on each other. She swiftly looks away from me and walks to the front of the lane.

Freya tucks her left hand in her hoodie pocket and made zero to no effort as she rolls her bowling ball. The ball sways to the side before it even got to the middle of the lane.

I watch her as she stares at the ball as it slows down to a stop. She slightly tilts her head and pursed her lips.

Fuck! She's cute.

"Come on Freya, you gotta give me a competition." Ophelia groans, looking at a very bored looking Freya.

"I should've known your competitive kicks will play out even in a simple bowling game." Freya says to Ophelia, who obviously took her statement as a compliment.

"Okay, Freya clearly lost this round. Let's start the next frame." Ophelia chirps in, taking another ball before Zayn's voice booms from behind us.

"You guys couldn't even wait for me." He takes our attention as he approaches us.

"My heart hurts." He fakes a strucken heart.

"Took you long enough." Ophelia goes to hug him, squeezing the life out of his body. He laughs and hugs her back.

"Hey." Zayn walks up to Freya with clear intention to hug her as well, but she just puts on a smile and waves lightly.

"Hey." She replies him. I could see the disappointment on Zayn's face even if he tried to cover it up. He looks at me with a knowing look.

Oh God.

"Well now that you're here Zayn, let's peer up." Ophelia helps the awkward situation.

"Oh nice." He puts on his excited self again.

"Freya sucks at this game and I've not seen Zayn play, so I'll peer with Cade." That means Zayn and Freya will peer up.

My heart did a little thing at the thought. No the reality of it.

It's just a game Cade.

Plus this a good thing for Zayn. He needs moments like this if he ever wants to be with Freya.

But why is my heart and mind reacting negatively at that thought?

I should be happy for him and set the path for him with Freya right?

"Why do you get to pick your partner first Lia?" Freya questions out of the blue. Her voice was small and almost quiet, but there was something else added to it.

"Cause I'm basically the winner for the first round and the winner gets to pick first. Plus..." she gives Freya a look, like a girl code type of look and Freya nods in understanding.

"Oh right."

Zayn and I share a confused look and I shrug. I don't wanna even know what they are visually communicating about.

"Okay let the war begin." We all laugh at Ophelia's over hyped spirit. She comes to my side and hook my arm with hers.

"We better crush them or you'll be having bad dreams this night." I wanted to laugh at her threat, but her face tells no joke.

"Yes ma." She smiles.

"Ma. Call me that, I like it. I like the way you say it." I'm not oblivious to Ophelia's flattery comments. But I just dwell on the fact that she's naturally this way.

I look over at Zayn and Freya, a little scared for him that he might be nervous or anxious, but instead I find them both laughing at something he said.

My heart automatically drops at the sight and so did my facial expression. I thought Freya was bored and uninterested, then why is she smiling and laughing at Zayn like that?

She doesn't do that to me.

Cade....you better not.

I look away from them and that's when I noticed I was holding my breath.

Fuck!

"No it's a good thing. It's a good thing for them." I remind myself in a whisper.

I shouldn't be feeling any negative feeling for them. Especially for Zayn, who's basically my brother and Freya, a girl I barely know.

"Are you okay?" I look to my side at Ophelia's voice. She was staring at me with furrowed brows. I muster up a smile.

"Yeah."

Just when we were about to start the game, Ophelia voices out,"Wait!"

She strides to Freya who looked equally confused at her outburst like the rest of us.

"I love you sweetheart but this hoodie has to go." She reaches out for the hem of Freya's brown hoodie.

"What? No stop." Freya protects her hoodie. Their action was enough to make Zayn and I laugh.

"Freya let go." Ophelia tries again but Freya was ready to die with her hoodie by her expression.

"Lia I'll fucking kill you if you touch my hoodie one more time." Freya retorts but Ophelia doesn't back down.

"I'll give you Ronda Rousey's hand lock or Roman Reigns superman punch if you don't take it off. You know I can do strong things." Can she actually do that? She doesn't look like she can at all but then again, don't judge a book by it's cover.

Surprisingly, Freya finally gives in. Shit, maybe she can actually do those things.

"God I'll kill you in your sleep Lia." Freya glares at Ophelia but she only smiles proudly.

"I'd love to see you try."

Freya takes off her hoodie and it was a really bad idea--- for me at least. Three piece of necklaces sits on her chest, enhancing her cute but also sexy look.

She has on a brown toddler's top that does a very great job in showcasing her cleavage.

I remember the day my eyes got stuck on them helplessly and she caught me. I felt like the biggest pervert alive. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

But then again, I couldn't control myself. She's fucking blessed with the chest area.

I really need to get a hold of myself.
