There they were again. Your best friend and his girlfriend. Waking hand and hand smiling and laughing like there is no tomorrow. I guess c/n noticed me staring because as soon as our gazes met he sent a sweet smile. God I really wish he gave me that smile more often. But every time he did his toxic girlfriend would yank his face towards her.

"Um, hello. I think your forgetting who your girlfriend is", she said yanking his face by the chin so aggressive I was convinced his neck would crack

"babe I'm not," he said pulling her hand from his chin. The marks were visible from her foot long nails.

"You know what, I feel like you're always looking at other girls!"

"She's my best friend!!!" , he yelled drawing attention from every corner of the hall. His girlfriend dug her long sharp nails in to his bare arm and dragged him outside the school. Suddenly everyone's eyes turned to me with pity. Everyone knows c/n's girlfriend is super toxic and I was most likely gonna get a beating. I just slammed my locker door shut and ran to my next class.

time skip

I had finally gotten home and I hadn't seen c/n all day. I was starting to get worried, he was supposed to come to my house to work on a science project and c/n had the keys to my house so I figured I would just wait for him. There was a weak knocking at my door. I opened a door and a body came tumbling at my feet.

"Oh my god c/n!!!"

"hey"

"What the happened!!!"

"my ex gf's brother jumped me"

"Uh-uh-uhhhh", I said scrambling around to get my first aid kit. It took a while to realize he was still on the floor.

"oh shoot sorry" I said hauling his arm over my shoulders and pulling him toward my bed. He flopped down. I grabbed the first aid kit and sat down next to him.

"your gonna have to sit up" I chuckled a little

"my bad"c/n said pushing himself off the bed and to a comfortable sitting position. I then grabbed his chin gently and started cleaning over the various cuts and wounds that were scattered across his face.

"This might hurt" I said gently pressing a cotton ball with alcohol on his face. He winced and I frantically apologized.

"I'm sorry!!!!"

"It's fine" he said smiling and laughing at me. With the same smile I never saw. He looked at me with the most heart warming gaze I'd ever seen.

"what" I smiled turning my head down to hide my blush.

"you know your beautiful right?"  Now that took me off guard. My eyes widened for a second, I stopped cleaning the wounds for a second then went back to what I was doing.

"I'm not that pretty" I said moving to get some bandaid to cover the bigger wounds on his face but c/n gabbed my face to look at him again.

"you're right your not pretty. But that's not what I said,I said you were beautiful. And you are" he looked me in the eyes for a moment then slowly tilted his face towards mine until our lips touched and then he kissed me...

"you have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that", he pulled back and said a little out of breath

"I've waiting longer" I said laughing

"nope", C/n said wrapping his arms around my waist and laying on my bed.

"I love you too C/n"
