So, I really had to post this and address this issue. The hashtag EdSheeranIsOurBoy is trending and... No. It shouldn't be trending. I'll be blunt and honest here, so excuse my insensitivity.

If you have anything to say to defend this hashtag, please do, but only after you read the whole thing. I will fight this case.

I'm sorry if it sounds rude but I've been kind before and it doesn't work. I'll get dirty for the people I love. It's alright if I'm the bag guy here.

I know you guys think it is a joke, that it's funny, but I'm so infuriated seeing comments on WeVerse under Taehyung's most recent post.

We don't like you Taehyung. We like Ed Sheeran oppa.

No. What makes armies think this is fine? I wish no one from BTS reads these comments. My heart literally hurts when I think of them right now.

I might be sounding dramatic. You'll tell me to take a chill pill. You'll tell me to calm down. You'll tell me it's just a joke.

Haha.

But I have asked many haters why they don't like BTS. Some just think it's cool or whatever to go against the trend. But many say it's not BTS they dislike, but the toxic fandom. I've defended armies for so long that I've become blind to when we cross the line.

It was bad enough when BTS had to delete a post about Halsey because armies were being petty. I know this sounds harsh but you have no right to act out so strongly on your jealousy.

You are not their girlfriends. You have no right to be possessive over them. They genuinely had fun and felt comfortable in the interview with Sakshma. But now a hashtag is rising against it.ย  I've even seen people degrade the interviewer. How do you think that is acceptable.

This hashtag is a chain reaction. One bad thing leads to another and keeps multiplying. And armies are the root of it.

I wanted to drop this subject and not talk about it. But I have a feeling this will really upset BTS if they hear about it. Of course, I can't speak for them but I'm sure their reaction won't be positive.

I just want to know what you guys think when you use this hashtag. What reactions do people expect from them?

Haha, our girlfriends are jealous of the girl we had a harmless interview with.

๐Ÿ˜

Can you feel my disappointment through the screen? BTS has been so kind to you and this is just taking advantage of their kindness. Imagine you make a post about your friend whom you respect and cherish. But people, who are not your husbands/wives, boyfriends/girlfriends, family or even close friends, trend a hashtag against it. You have to delete the post in the end.

Did that make BTS happy last time? It might have made you satisfied, but at what cost? Their free will? Their freedom to be friends with women? You know the consequences, yet you choose to repeat history.

I've also seen comments about Taehyung choosing an interviewer over armies. That's too low. Way too low.

And there are comments regarding religion too, which I truly do not understand. As you know, BTS respect religion and this will just make them feel bad. That's an even lower hit.ย

I'm incredibly disappointed with those who trend and support this hashtag. BTS does not have to tolerate unwarranted jealousy. I don't even want to think about when they get married.

You are supposed to support them. You are supposed to express how happy you are for them as long as they are happy.

If you get my point, please don't support this hashtag. If your friends are trending it, make them understand too. Try and be a mature person and put your envy aside. I know BTS are our celebrity crushes but in no way is this behaviour any good.

Honestly, sometimes I wish they'd disband sooner just so they'd be at peace. It probably sounds a bit cruel but understand they are human too and they have their limits. Just because they don't express their discomfort all the time doesn't mean they don't feel it.

Please be considerate of their feelings. It might seem like a small thing to you but we don't know what their situation is. We don't know how this impacts them.

That's all I have to say. You probably didn't read this at all but I had to get this off my chest. Each time I try to disregard this matter, it keeps blowing up in my face as it gets popular. At a point, I had to turn off notifications so I don't have to see another army boast to me about the hashtag.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey.

And thank you for your time. Thank you for reading this story. There is the possibility that I might delete it in the future as I'm not really proud of how it turned out.
