My heart literally stopped as I saw her fall, it felt as if everything had started to play in slow motion. I could hear the gunshots being fired in the background but my sole focus was fixed on Sylvia.

The chandelier broke into a million pieces and the glass shards scattered all around the floor. I could see red drops on the floor and I knew it was Sia's blood. I started to run in her direction but a bullet grazed my arm halting my movements and I turned in the direction to see someone dressed in a staff uniform aiming his gun at me.

I quickly took my gun out and shot at him just a moment before he shot another bullet in my direction but I luckily dodged it.

How the fuck could this be possible? The security system was breached.

A man came from behind me and put me in a choke hold. I fired at his foot and he instantly released me, I turned around and shot him in the head.

"Sylvia!" I heard zia Victoria scream.

My head whipped in the direction she was previously in and I found a man carrying her away. I aimed at his back and fired the shot. He immediately fell with Sia still in his hold.

Everybody in the room was either fighting or shooting, it was all a chaos. How did we even let this happen was a question I was sure was going around in everyone's head including mine.

I saw Chris struggling to fight with two of the boys who were similarly dressed as the man whom I had shot. I pulled the trigger and fired two bullets at one of the boy's leg and he fell on the floor, screaming in pain.

I was so distracted and trying to reach to Sia that I did not notice when a bullet came out of nowhere and grazed my hand causing me to lose hold of my gun. It fell on the floor a few feet away from me and another man grabbed the opportunity to attack me.

He punched me square in the jaw and because I did not see it coming, I stumbled a few steps back. He again lurched at me but this time I grabbed him by the throat with one hand and twisted his arm with the other. His gun fell out of his hand and on the floor, I kicked it away from him using my foot and twisted his arm until I heard his bones cracking. He screamed loudly in pain but I headbutted him which caused him to fall flat on his face. I took the gun out from inside my jacket pocket and shot him between his eyes.

My eyes went again to Sia who was trying her best to fight back but her legs were severely injured. Another man had grabbed her by the shoulders and was trying to drag her away but she tried to resist as best as she possibly could. I started running in her direction, once again, only to be stopped by two more men coming to stand in my way.

My jaw ticked and I was so fucking close to snapping their necks. Both of them aimed their guns directly at my chest.

"What's the point of holding a gun if you're going to stand this close?" I asked and in a flash snatched their guns and pointed them at their heads.

Their faces instantly turned pale and without a second thought, I fired the bullets. Only then did I realize that the noise in the background had died down and I did a three sixty turn to see most of the foreign men dead on the floor and also some of our men who were dressed as the waiters.

It was all a big fucking bloody mess.

The thought of Sylvia made me turn in her direction only to find that she was no longer there. Instead she was standing in the middle of the room with a gun to her head and another man was holding her straight.

My hands balled into fists and I was about to march over there but the sound of someone applauding made me stop in my tracks. I looked at the entrance to see a man walking inside with multiple bodyguards behind him. I took the safety off of my gun and looked behind me to see dad and everyone else standing and doing the same.

The man was almost my height and he had blonde hair and green eyes. I recognized him, he was Arthur Aguillard's son, Augustine Aguillard, but didn't Sia say she crippled him the last him he attacked their house?

"I have to say, I am impressed. You guys are better than what we were told but still not the best." He commented.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked in anger.

"Oh, you know just here to say hi and grab a few things." He spoke maliciously and eyed Sia as he talked about grabbing a 'few things.'

My jaw clenched and I aimed my gun at him.

"Woah, you don't wanna go there." He said nodding his head towards Sia.

Sia looked so scared as if she had seen a ghost, her whole body was slightly shaking and she had tears in her eyes. I remember her telling me once that he was an acquaintance at college. Then why did she appear this terrified?

I was definitely missing something. But what?

I brought my gun back to my side and faced the man who disgusted me to no end, "What do you want?" I asked.

"Three of yours." He answered with a shrug.

I frowned and was about to question but where he pointed next made me freeze. Selena and Cara were being forcefully held by four of their men in a corner.

What the fuck!

"Release the women." I demanded.

"Aw but where's the fun in that?" he made a childish face.

"Release them or else we won't hold back." I warned.

He chuckled coldly and shook his head, "You even think of opening fire, these three die in a second." He said pointing his gun at Sylvia, Cara and Selena one by one.

"Then what the fuck do you want?!" I asked loudly.

"Two things." He replied raising two fingers in the air.

"What?" I inquired, trying my best to maintain my calm and not let any emotion slip.

"I want to tell you all a story," he paused and briefly glanced at Sylvia with a smirk on his face, "And of course, take these three women with us."

Sia stumbled but the man holding her tightened his hold making her become even more fidgety. The tears started to flow down her cheeks when an angry voice boomed in the room, "STOP BEING DIFFICULT, SYLVIA!" Augustine shouted at her making her flinch.

I balled my hands into fists at his tone of voice but I did not want him to know my weakness so I remained quiet.

"No." Sia whispered in a broken voice while shaking her head.

He scoffed and shook his head in response, "They don't know?"

"Please." Sia pleaded.

He kept staring at her intently before opening his mouth to speak, "They should know about your experience in New York."

Sia choked and held back a sob as she shook her head at him once again. My heart rate picked up pace as I looked at her vulnerable state. I had never seen her in this much vulnerable state.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Zio Asher asked stepping forward.

"Be patient." Augustine joked.

"Don't push your luck, Aguillard." I threatened.

"Okay, okay, I will tell." He said raising his hands up in surrender.

"Your dear daughter was raped at a party three years ago." He stated.

All the colors drained from my face and my heart clenched inside my chest. Pin drop silence blanketed over us. I froze on my spot as my mind processed the words that just came out of his mouth.

"We wouldn't even be standing here today had we not let her go that night but unfortunately, we had no clue back then that she belonged to the Italian Mafioso." He stated so casually as if the bastard was talking about the weather.

What the fuck did he mean by 'we?' The thought sent a cold shiver up my spine.

"Stop lying." Zio Asher spoke quietly.

"You think I'm lying? Ask your daughter here." Augustine said shrugging his shoulders.

My eyes darted to Sia who was staring blankly at the floor, lost in her own train of thoughts while the tears still flowed freely down her cheeks and onto the floor.

"Sylvia." Dad called her name.

She looked up robotically, in an instant, and stared at him with no emotion whatsoever.

"Tell them it's not true." Dad spoke as if trying to convince himself.

She remained quiet but her eyes moved to someone else in the crowd. I followed her line of vision and found zio Leo looking at her with pain and anger swirling in his eyes.

I frowned at the exchange between them before looking back at Sia who did not make any effort to deny the rumor.

"Sia." I called.

She looked away from zio Leo and avoided eye contact with me when Augustine interrupted once again, "Oh here's my favorite part, she kept calling for you, poor girl." He told looking at me with a smirk.

And as if that was the last straw, Sia finally lost her balance and fell on her knees while crying silently. I felt as if someone had carved a hole in my chest and was now taking my heart out. I had never experienced this excruciating pain.

"Anyways, you can mourn later. We have to leave and don't try to outsmart us." Augustine commented.

"You'll pay for this." Dad spoke coldly.

He laughed and grabbed a hold of Sia's arm. I was about to take a step forward but the man holding a gun to Sia's head pressed it against her temple making her whimper so I had to take a step back.

All of his men were pointing guns in our direction as they dragged Cara and Selena out of the room. Javier took a step forward but I held him back. One wrong move from our side and they'd kill the women. We were not in a position to attack them, we were caught off-guard.

When Sia didn't budge, he lifted her up in his arms and she lost all her cool as she began to thrash in his hold but he hit her with the barrel of the gun making her fall unconscious.

My anger piqued as her head fell back and the fucker walked out like he owned the place, like he knew he had an upper hand, like he came just for her.

And just like that, three of our women were taken away in front of our eyes and we all were helpless.
