Another night of intimidation; a night of planning the escape. (Y/N) was with Anna, spending time in the library in comfortable silence.

They were 'study buddies', as to how Thoma and Lannion described. Though they never really 'studied' together, they just happen to be in the library at the same time quite often.

Anna idolized (Y/N); she saw her as an amazing mentor, friend, and non-biological sister. Unlike the other siblings, Anna really topped number one when it comes to adoring the (H/C)-haired ten-year-old.

"(Y/N), what word does this mean?" Anna lifted her head up, turning her book around to show (Y/N) the word she was referring to.

(Y/N) looked at her, her eyes trailing off to her finger that pointed the word. "Passive?" She rose a brow, darting her eyes back at her.

Anna nodded, smiling.

"Passive means accepting what happens or what others do, without engaging to any response."

Anna's eyes glimmered with adoration, "Wha... Thanks!"

(Y/N) smiled, turning her attention back to the book in her hands shortly afterward.

As the two read silently, (Y/N) couldn't help but overhear a muffled argument from the other room. Her hearing was better than others, which meant she could define everything around her just through sounds.

'Norman's confronting him this night, huh?' She rose a brow as a smirk curled her lips, 'Good luck to you Ray. He's pretty stubborn about stuff like this.'

'Norman is smart– Tactical, even. He plans ahead, he plans for the future. It's not easy to predict his next move; like a simple game of chess, you have to use the right pons to win the game.'

'But in this reality, this, is a real-life game of chess.'

Anna's body flinched invisibly as a peculiar laugh echoed around the halls. "I wonder who that is..." She giggled weakly, a bead of sweat rolling down her cheek as she scratched her other cheek with her finger.

"Probably Don, in my opinion." (Y/N) said, closing the book silently.

"Oh? What did he say?" Anna asked, knowing that (Y/N) was a good listener.

The (H/C)-haired girl's eyes slowly looked at the ceiling, her mind trying to comprehend a simple lie.

"It was a knock-knock joke."

Anna bobbed her head, "Ah, okay."

'What're you doing Norman?'

(Y/N) sighed, getting up from the wooden chair she sat on, "I'll be taking my leave." She bowed her upper body, "Have a good night's rest, Anna."

The blonde smiled back, "You too (Y/N). Good night."

(Y/N) waved her hand before leaving the library, now walking towards the other room where Ray and Norman were having a conversation.

"Though, I believe there is more than one traitor," Norman said, his voice slightly inaudible.

Ray furrowed his brows, confused to his words, "What?"

Norman laughed, "But... I can't confirm that yet..."

(Y/N)'s body stiffened as her eyes slightly widened, 'Crap...'
