I sigh with content as I feel the warmth of the morning sun beaming down on me. I had just been out on my morning run but stopped halfway on my way back for a short break. This was a regular thing for me in my morning routine. I loved to try and keep fit and in shape. I was no size 0 model, and I don't intend to be, but I do like to exercise when I can. I always wake up early before going to college and when I manage to finish college early, I try to get out for a run.

Not many people in my community or pack agreed with me going to college. According to them I was doing things all wrong. It feels like they think a female wolf should just go and find her male mate and begin mating and bearing children right away. I haven't found my mate yet but even if I did, I have plans for my future and I don't intend to change them for anyone. The others from my pack also think it's wrong because I work in our local town among humans. I have heard some of them talk about how rebellious I am. I have never thought that there was anything wrong with wanting to create a life for myself that I want. I make it back to my parents' house in no time and quickly change for college. I grab my bag and folder before leaving and begin my walk to college which wasn't too far.

I was so deep in my own thoughts that I didn't even see or hear the car that pulled up at the side.

"Excuse me Sweetheart, I was wondering if you could help me?" A male voice asked pulling me from my thoughts.

I looked to my left where the male voice came from, the man still driving his car at a slow pace. I had to take a double look at the man next to me. He was good looking, short brown hair, dark chocolate brown eyes, perfect facial structure. I almost forgot he spoke to me as I secretly checked him out.

"Enjoying the view there?" He asked with a cocky smirk

Well, I guess it wasn't a secret anymore then.

"Sorry, who or where are you looking for?" I asked. I sniffed the air about him to try and pick up a scent from him but there was nothing there.

"I'm looking for Castle View Rock, I'm looking for a friend who lives there" He replied with a smile.

"Just stay on this road, keep heading up and you should see a sign further up with information on how to get there, you should find it okay, was there anything else I can help you with?" I asked. I really wanted to know who he knew in our pack. One part of me wanted to just get rid of him but another part of me wanted him to stay a bit longer so he could distract me with his beautiful features.

"No, not unless I can give you a lift and get your number" The strange man replied with that same cocky smirk.

"No thank you, I'm meeting my friend" I answered getting ready to take off and walk away from him.

"Shame, how about your number then?" He asked.

"I don't give it out to strange men I don't know" I smirked

"The name's Kieran, Kieran Templeton" He replied.

"Nice to meet you Mr Templeton but I really must be going now so I can catch my friend and before I'm late" I said as I turned and began walking away.

I knew better than to give my number out to strangers, especially guys. There was something about him, I could feel myself being pulled into him. I quickly dismissed all thoughts of him and made my way to meet my best friend, Natalie.

The day seemed to drag by painfully slow, Natalie could tell there was something on my mind. Anytime I tried to concentrate on something, Kieran would appear again. I dismissed Natalie and told her I just had a lot on with college work, assignments, deadlines and work. She seemed to buy it and didn't push on anymore.

Finally, I was back in my home and enjoying the peace and quiet. That was until I heard my mum and dad.

"Felicity darling get ready, we've all been called for a meeting" My mother said as she stuck her hear in my doorway.

"Called for a meeting?" I asked unsure.

"Yes, by alpha Jamie" My father said as he walked by.

I sighed and got up to begin getting ready. My day had already been chaotic enough I didn't need any more last-minute drama. I was sure that all this meeting was going to be about was alpha Jamie announcing to every one of his plans to mate his long-term girlfriend, Sarah. I quickly changed out of my clothes I'd had on for college and into something more presentable. I made my way downstairs only to see my mother standing by the wall mirror as she put in her earrings.

"Finally, Felicity, what took you so long?" She asked as I reached the bottom.

"I had to change out of my clothes I was in and make myself look presentable" I pointed out to her.

I don't know why but for a while now my wolf hasn't been feeling herself. She seemed to be down and upset a lot. I had no idea why; it wasn't like we had found our mate yet or like we had been rejected by him.

About twenty minutes later, all three of us arrived outside Castle View Rock in our family car. Of course, my parents knew a lot of people here from our pack. We all made our way inside and where we were directed to go, the main event hall. Soon, once everyone was gathered in and seated, things began to get underway. I still had no idea why I had to be here, I hated these kinds of things, I would much rather have stayed at home and studied or done some college work, but my mother insisted I had to come along as alpha Jamie had summoned everyone to attend this event.

I'm not sure why but my wolf tried to keep my eyes on alpha Jamie. I tried looking away or around the hall, but she always made sure my eyes landed back on him. I was confused as to what was going on with her, that was until Jamie stood up and walked forward to begin his speech to us.

That's when the realization hit me. As Jamie made his speech and took small glances around the room at the packed crowd, I'm sure his eyes lingered over my way a little too long.

There was no denying it.

He was my mate..........
