Sameera's P.O.V.

(THE PARTY)

I wore the only dress I had. This was the same dress I planned to wear on Nikhil's birthday and that is why it was in my bag when I left the place.

If I had any other dress, I would have not worn it. But I don't have any other option. I can't ask Kriti for it. She is already doing so much for me.

I looked at myself in the mirror. After a long time I am getting dressed like this.

I wore a shimmery black strapless mini dress with a long black fabric wrapped around it, with two long trails on the sides.

I did my make up on my own. I am not too good with applying make up, but I am satisfied with how I look. I kept my hair open, just how I like.

Just when I was done, the door bell rang.

It was my sister. She looked so beautiful! She wore a blue off-shoulder mini dress. She also kept her hair open just like me. She also paired her look with beautiful earings and blue smokey eyes made her make-up look perfect!

"You are looking very beautiful!" I complimented her.

"You are looking more beautiful." She said. I instantly had a blush.

"Let's go, we are getting late." I said.

We are going together, though I didn't want to use Dad's car, but I don't have any other option. Atleast it's better than being inside a car with Nikhil!

We reached the venue but I didn't want to go inside.

"What's the matter Sam?" Kriti asked.

"I don't want to go inside! Everyone knows that I am Nikhil's wife. I can't pretend to be his happy little trophy wife. But if I don't, it will create a scene and people are going to ask questions. Why isn't Nikhil Ahuja's wife not present at a party hosted on their wedding anniversary? And Dad would be very upset if that happens. He would think that it's my fault and not say anything to Nikhil."

Now I get it why Nikhil desperately wanted me to come as well. He just didn't want to show me that he had won the challenge but he also wanted me to happily behave like his wife in front of these hundred people.

"Nothing will happen. I will be with you!" Kriti said.

We entered the party. My eyes instantly searched the room and went to Nikhil and then towards Aayansh Singhania. They both were having a conversation.

Nikhil's eyes snapped towards me. There was a cunning smile on his face. That smile said everything. How happy he was seeing me? His victory was there in his face.

Don't think Nikhil that just because I am here, I will always be here. I will do everything that I can to get away from you.

Aayansh also looked towards me seeing Nikhil gaze at me. But unlike Nikhil, I couldn't read his face. He was just staring at me. But there wasn't any emotion on his face.

"Do you want to meet Mom and Dad?" Kriti asked beside me.

"No. I don't want too." I answered her. The last thing that I want is to meet them. To meet the very people who behave as if they love me like their own daughter but treat me so badly.

"Please just see them once. They were so worried about you when you left the house."

"But they didn't come to meet me when they got to know that I was working in Singhania Studios. Did they?" I answered her. I actually am happy that they didn't because even if they would come to meet me, they will only accuse me. Insist me to go back to that asshole.

"But they did call you a zillion times before that!"

"Please Kriti stop taking your parents' side."

"They are your parents as well, Sam."

"No they are not!"

"Just for this one thing, you can't forget everything that they have done for you!" She said.

I scoffed. Dad has always accused me of something I have not done, scolded me when I was not at fault. He would never listen to me or trust me!

"You don't know!" I told her.

"Okay, atleast meet Mom."

"She is standing with Dad!"

She sighed! "Ugh!"

I again looked at Nikhil. I think I should have had gone to meet Mom and Dad, atleast it would have been better than the trouble that is approaching. Nikhil was coming towards with a smirk on his face.

"Hello ladies!" He said.

"Hello Mr. Asshole Ahuja!" My sister said with a fake smile. This made Nikhil uncomfortable. Suits him.

"You shouldn't talk with your Jijaji like that. Right Saali Sahiba?" He said. "Anyway, now can you please excuse me and my wife." [Jijaji- sister's husband, Saali- Wife's sister, Sahiba- Madam]

"Your ex-wife." I said. "That's how you will refer me after a few months." I said.

"After a few months, Baby. But till then you are my wife. And trust me your few months is never gonna come. Anyway, we will talk about that later. But first I want you to meet a few people!" He said placing his hand on my back.

"What makes you think that I will come and meet your associates?"

"Because you don't have any other option!" He said pulling me along with him. I tried freeing myself but his hold was firm.

"Don't create a scene because you are only going to make a fool of yourself!"

I stopped struggling to free myself. Not because of what he said. But because people had started staring at us. I don't want more mess in my life. I don't want people to gossip about me or ask me questions. They would never know what kind of a man Nikhil is. They are only going to question me.

He went towards Ayan. He was staring at us till we reached him. Did he even looked away once? Why is he looking at us like this?

Ofcourse he must be judging me and thinking that I was the same person who accused Nikhil of infidelity in front of him and now I am moving around with him like his sweet and loving wife. Only if he knew!

"Meet my wife Mr. Singhania! Mrs. Sameera Ahuja. The last time I couldn't introduce both of you properly, but we finally got a chance."

Aayansh stared at me. I don't know what is going inside his head. Then I saw his gaze move down towards my waist, at Nikhil's hand, which he slid down to place it on my waist. It was making me uncomfortable.

"And Sam, this is Mr. Aayansh Singhania. I am pretty sure you know him and definitely about our deal." He said winking at me. Deal! Ofcourse that very deal he has the most pride in.

I looked at Aayansh to see if there was even a single sense of regret on his face. But clearly there wasn't. He was just staring as if analysing something. What's wrong with this man!

"Ofcourse I know him! How can't I know him and definitely I know about the deal. This is the very deal which made me know about how greedy people can be." I told Nikhil taunting Aayansh.

This definitely made him uncomfortable because he didn't expect me to insult his "associate" like this.

Aayansh sighed and then said, "You are naive Mrs. Ahuja if you don't think people are greedy. After all nowadays people break hearts for rich boyfriends or girlfriends. Ofcourse you would know such people. Ours was just a deal!" He said accusing me again for something I never did. How can he think that I cheated on him and because he wasn't rich and Nikhil was? How can he think so low of me.

"I don't know any such person Mr. Ahuja!" I said innocently because I am innocent. The thing he is accusing me of since years, I didn't commit that. He can't keep blaming me.

"Anyway please excuse us Aayansh." Nikhil said completely unaware of the meaning behind the conversation we had and dragged me along with him. I wonder if he has any idea that he is only my Ayan about whom I would keep talking to him.

"I don't want to meet anybody else!" I said irritably. I am just done with this. It was really a wrong idea to come to this party. I shouldn't have had!

"Just do as I say!" He said holding me more firmly. It was actually paining a little by now at the place where he was holding me.

He took me to my parents. Ofcourse!

"I am so happy that you finally decided to go back to your husband!" The words came out of my Dad!

"I haven't actually! He is forcing me to pretend to be his wife in front of everyone." I said casually. I don't want to talk about my problems with these people but I also don't want them to assume anything. "Anyway I am filing for a divorce!" I informed them.

I could feel Nikhil stiffen beside me.

"What's wrong with you Sameera? How much more are you going to embarrass me!" My so called Dad said.

"Don't worry Dad! I will convince her. We will figure it out!" Nikhil said. I scoffed.

"I am so lucky to have a son in law like you Nikhil. You should be happy that you have got a husband like him Sameera. You clearly don't deserve him but still he is tolerating you!" He told me.

"You are right I don't deserve him. Because I deserve way better. Not just a better husband but better parents as well!" I said before freeing myself. Ofcourse he won't manhandle me infront of my parents! After all he has to pretend to be an idle husband infront of them!

I went towards my sister who was standing beside the bar and talking to Karthik. She looked so happy. Completely opposite of what I am feeling. Once I used to be like that as well, but Nikhil spoiled it all for me.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Hi Sameera! You are looking beautiful!" Karthik complimented me.

He is such a sweetheart! And he also makes my sister happy. I hope if the situations would have been different, they definitely would have made the best couple. I know Kriti won't be able to have a normal relationship with Karthik until and unless she will tell him everything about me and Aayansh and once she will, Karthik definitely would not want to date her.

"Thanks Karthik!" I said.

"Okay you sisters have a talk. I want to talk to bhai." Karthik said and left. I was so thankful because I needed some alone time with my sister.

I told her everything and she gave me her usual pep talk.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please may I have your attention." Nikhil said through the mic and everyone's attention moved towards him. Aayansh was also standing beside him.

"I am sure you all know the reason we all have gathered. We are here to announce you all about our collaboration. Aayansh and I..."

Aayansh interrupted Nikhil mid way and said, "Sorry to interrupt you Mr Ahuja! But before we announce our collaboration, I would like to show you all a presentation. All dedicated to Mr. Ahuja!"
