Sameera's P. O. V.

The goon raised his hand to slap me but someone stopped him midway by holding his hand.

I turned around to see who it was and to my surprise it was that idiot monkey. Ayan!

What is he doing here? Oh yes, he was at the orphanage so he must be returning from there.

He held the hand of the goon with one of his hands and within seconds his other hand crashed on the face of the goon with a strong punch.

"Just leave her!" He ordered the goon.

"Who are you hero?" The goon asked with a smirk. How can this guy still smile.

"Doesn't matter!" Aayansh said. "Leave her or I will call the police."

"You'll call the police. Okay call. But you will only be able to call if you stay alive," Said the goon. And all of them started laughing.

The goon let go of my hand and punched Aayansh on his face. I could say by his looks that how much it hurted him. In no time blood started coming out from his nose.

The other goons too started punching him, while he tried his best to fight but they were four and he is only one. Well I am also there but I was too scared to fight any of them. But, I need to do something. I can't let Aayansh fight them alone.

I ran to my car as fast as I could. I had to get my pepper spray and chilly powder from my bag. It was very stupid of me not to carry it with me earlier when I got off my car.

I sprayed it on their eyes and while they were rubbing their eyes I took Aayansh's mobile from his pant's pocket. He was lying on the floor by then.

Luckily, there wasn't a lock on his phone. I downloaded a police siren's music from the internet and kept the mobile little away from us at a pavement before playing it.

The goons actually thought that cops are coming and decided to leave us alone. I felt like laughing my ass off but at the time I had something more important to do. Take Aayansh to the hospital. He was so injured.

He could barely walk but I managed to take him to his bike. I made him sit behind me and asked him to hold me tightly.

I took him to the nearest hospital. Till the time we reached the hospital, he was already unconscious.

I also need to inform his family. So, I started looking at his call log. The last person with whom he talked was some Kavya. I don't know who she is. Maybe his girlfriend because the number was saved with a heart emoji beside the name. Should I call his girlfriend and tell her everything?

What is the problem? Yes I should call whoever she is.

"What happened Bhai? You know I am with my friend. Stop calling me all the time." Spoke a girl from the other side. So this Kavya is Aayansh Singhania's sister. But who saves their sister's name with heart emoticons. I will never save Kriti's phone number with a heart. Never.

"I am not Aayansh. Actually he is in the hospital..."

"What! What happened to my brother? Oh my god!"

"Nothing serious. He will be fine. You just come here I will explain you everything."

I gave her the address of the hospital after I managed to make her understand that her brother is okay.

Aayansh's P.O.V.

I woke up to find myself on a hospital bed. What am I doing here? Oh yes I fought with the goons and got beaten by them badly and Sameera might have got me here. But if she got me here then where is she? Is she fine or something happened to her.

I was wondering about whether she is fine when the door opened. It looked like a female figure. Yes it must be Sameera.

"Bro, are you fine?" Came Kavya's voice. So it isn't Sameera, it's my sister. "The nurse said that you have regained consciousness. "

"Yes Kavya. I am fine."

"Thank God! I am telling you I was so scared when Sameera called me and said you are in hospital."

"Is she okay? " I asked her. I was really concerned about her.

"Yes she is completely fine."

"Where is she?"

"She went home." She replied.

What! I am here in hospital because I tried tried to save her and she went home. I don't know why but I was hurt.

"She told me everything that happened. I can't believe bro you saved her. You are a real hero bhai....." My sister started blabbing about how I saved her but I was least interested. What was going in my mind was how can someone be so selfish to leave a person on the hospital bed, who was there only because they tried to save you. Oh ofcourse it's Sameera we are talking about. The most selfish and egoistic person.

"She went home?" I asked my sister.

"Yes. It was so late. Her parents were getting worried about her so she had to go. She wanted to stay but I insisted her to leave." She explained.

"What time is it?" I asked looking for a clock.

"It's 4 a.m. bhai." I shouldn't have had judged before knowing. How could I have expected her to stay so late outside home?

"Oh!"

"Sameera is really a great person. She paid the hospital charges and didn't even said me anything about it." She said in a low voice. That caught my attention. I don't want to be Sameera Oberoi's charity case.

"I know Kavya. I am helpless. But believe me it won't last long. Everything will become better. I will work very hard for us. Everything will be like before. In fact better than before." I said with guilt all over me. It's been so long to my Dad's death and I couldn't do anything to help my Mom. To make our lives better.

"Bhai you don't need to say any of that. You don't need to feel guilty. It doesn't mean that just because you are eldest among the three of us you are responsible for everything."

"Ok. Now go. Let me sleep." I ordered her. I can't let this conversation go on any longer.

"So rude!"

"Kavya leave!"

"Fine I am leaving." And she went after that. I kept thinking about what Kavya said. About Dad, his lost watch and about my plans to keep my family happy. But that girl kept flashing in my mind. Why can't I stop thinking about her and why is it bothering me that she is not present over here. I slept thinking about her.

It was 7 a.m. when I woke up. The sun rays were falling directly on my eyes. I tried to get up from my bed to draw the curtains but the moment I kept my foot on the floor it started paining a lot. I was going to fall on the floor but I managed to land on my bed. There wasn't anyone not even my sister. Where the hell is she? I stayed on my bed and waited for Kavya to come.

After 34 minutes, she entered.

"Hey bro," She began, "you woke up? "

"No," I replied, "I am still sleeping."

She made a stupid face to show displeasure. "I was just asking."

"Leave all that, where were you till now? I am waiting for you for so long."

"I was outside only. You could have called me or asked the nurses."

"There was no one!" I said irritatedly.

"Ok sorry. I will make sure the next time I am around you. Fine?"

"Wait! What do you mean by next time? How long am I supposed to stay here?" I asked her. I can't spend a minute more in this hospital bed and she is talking about the next time. I will run away if they keep me here for even an hour more. But how will I run with this leg. I am not able to stand properly.

"You will get discharged by noon. Don't worry." She replied. These few hours feels like years to me right now.

"Ok bhai, I will get you your breakfast till that time you take rest." She said and left me alone in this hospital room again.

I stayed on the bed and waited for her to return. Why is she taking so long! I kept thinking that when the door opened.

"Oh god! What took you so long? I am very hungry. I was waiting for my food for so long. And I also want to go to the washroom. Help me please!" I said all in one go without looking at her.

"Uhhm..yeah but I didn't know you were expecting me to bring something for you to eat." I looked at the door and it was when I realised that it isn't Kavya but her, Sameera Oberoi. The girl whom I tried to save last night and the girl because of whom I am stuck in this hospital bed since yesterday. She stood there beside the door holding a bouquet of flowers in her hands.
