I stepped into Hawks apartment, any adrenaline I had from the meeting had long left my body. It was well past sunset at this point and the apartment was dimly lit by moonlight. My legs nearly gave way when I retracted my wings, the blonde man beside me had to grab my shoulder to steady me.

"Finally realizing how tired you still are?" He pulled my back against his chest, a pair of large red wings wrapping around my body.

Leaning my head back I let out a soft yes. We stood there for a second, both his arms and wings wrapped around my waist as he laid his head in the crook of my neck. I swayed side to side, Hawks following the small motion.

"Thank you." I turned to face him, his arms wrapping loosely around my waist. "I don't know if they would have believed me any other way."

He let out a quiet hum in response as we continued to sway back and fourth, the motion making the tiredness settle deep in my bones. My eyelids were heavy but I just couldn't bring myself to drift off to sleep: There was to much that needed to be done.

Wiggling my way out his grasp I flopped onto the couch, pulling my laptop up beside me. Opening up the device, it's bright screen flickered to life. Before I could even log in, the screen was slammed shut.

My eyes darted up, narrowing on the tall blonde man who had just closed my computer. "What the hell Hawks?"

"You need sleep." Hawks grabbed the laptop from my lap and laid it on the coffee table. His large hands lightly pushed against my shoulders to try and make me lay down. "It's been five days since you got any rest."

Smacking his hands away I reached for my laptop but was stopped short. A hand appeared around my wrist and I was pinned on the couch. "I can't go to sleep Hawks." I groaned. "The mission is only a week away, we can't afford to waste any time on trivial things like sleep."

His striking golden eyes stared into my (E/C) ones, trying to make me understand what he was saying. There was concern laced through his usual happy face, anxiety dripping from the light worry lines on his forehead. Leaning my head up, I pressed my lips lightly against the light wrinkles.

"Your too young to be getting worry lines, pretty bird." Finally succumbing to the tiredness seeping in to my bones, I laid back against the soft cushions. "Never thought I'd see the big cocky hero being soft."

Hawks lightly kissed my lips, the softness mimicking that of the rooftop kiss from yesterday. I pushed my head up, trying to deepen the kiss. When he pulled away a small smile replaced the wrinkles on his forehead.

"So what if I'm a bit of a softie?" His mouth found it's way to my ear, lightly nipping at the lobe. The hot puffs of air that left his mouth sending a chill across my neck. "I'd never hurt someone who I may or may not have feelings for."

He kissed kindly right behind my ear, his soft lips tickling the skin. "Are you admitting that you care about me Hawks?"

"I cannot confirm nor deny that." The grip around my wrist disappeared and Hawks pulled away. "All I can say is that I want to get to know you more."

"I'd like that, a lot." It only took a moment for Hawks to snuggle up to me, his body laying between my legs and his head laying on my stomach. "You really are a huge softie, aren't you?"

"Mhm." He nodded, pushing his face more into my stomach. My hands found their way into his hair, pulling lightly on the fluffy blonde strands.

"Have you heard from Dabi?" Just as I said his name, the front door of Hawks apartment flew open. Both the hero and I jumped, our eyes instantly going to the door.

"Hey man." The surprise of his entrance quickly wore off and Hawks greeted the tall dark man, his head still on my stomach.

Lightly I smacked Hawks head, trying to get him off me but he didn't budge. "Sorry Dabi, you probably want Hawks to yourself."

"It's fine." Dabi discarded his shoes by the door and his coat soon followed on the kitchen counter. My eyes followed his movement as if he were a predator, ready to strike. There was a dip on the couch right beside me.

"Hawks you were right." I tried to reason with the bird on my stomach. Some part of me was still uncomfortable around Dabi and that part told me I needed to get out of there. "I need some sleep, so you should probably get off me."

A deep laugh resonated from Dabi, the scratchy sound rasping in my ear. "Is the pretty princess scared of me?"

Heat raced across my cheeks, my blush spreading prominently from being caught. "Well not scared, more like to awkward to talk to you after last Saturday."

I sat up with some effort, Hawks head falling to my lap when I noticed the he had fallen asleep. Taking a moment to calm myself down I scratched my nails across his scalp, careful not to put to much pressure. Maybe it was instinct but Hawks craned his head closer to my hand, the small motion squeezing my heart.

"Well looks like I'm stuck here for the time being." Turning I met Dabi's blue eyed stare, but for the first time they didn't have any hint of malice intentions. "Wanna watch a movie?"

The villain grabbed the remote that was beside my laptop and turned the television on. It's bright screen lighting up most of the room. A smile crossed my face when Dabi put on an old horror movie, one so old that it played in black and white.

Neither of us said a word while the movie played, we only sat in silence as we watched people be murdered in gruesome ways. Ever so often I'd have to soothe Hawks by petting his hair, I didn't have the heart to wake him up.

Finally after an hour and a half the movie ended, with a yawn I let my wings out of my back. The cool metal feathers sending a chill down my body. Dabi seemed to have notice the goosebumps crawling up my arms, seeing as he scooted closer to me, pulling my head into his chest as Hawks stayed laying in my lap.

"What are-"

He cut me off. "You were shivering, would you rather me light you on fire?"

Smiling I cuddled closer to him, all the awkwardness I had felt disappearing at this small gesture. My wings going dull as I let them stretch out over the couch. Taking a deep breath I admired Dabi's scent; Reminding me of a bonfire with the strong scent of smoke wafting from his body. His grip around my waist was soft yet secure, warming up my once cold body.

"Are you a human oven?" I asked, my eyes half closed.

His hot breath fanned over my hair as he crane leaned on top my head. "My quirk is fire, what did you expect?"

I smiled and ran my hand lightly across Hawks face, he looked so calm right now. "You aren't as bad as the media make you out to be." The words left my mouth before I could stop them and I inwardly groaned at myself.

"Well I'd hope not." His hands brushed lightly across my sides as he traced circles over the clothed area. "If I were would you even let me hold you this way?"

Turning to look at him, my eyes instantly caught his blue orbs. Leaning in I lightly kissed his lips, sending a light blush over his cheeks. "I think I'd stay in your grasp no matter what."
