"You need to get up." Several of Hawk's feathers smacked against my side and a groan left my lips. "I'm pretty sure you have a job to get to."

"It's Sunday." I complained and turned on my back, the feathers now smacking against my fully regrown metal wings. "I work from Monday to Friday."

"It is Monday."

"Huh?" I shot up in the bed, the blanket falling down to my lap. "What happened to Sunday?"

He snickered, a genuine smile curling it's way up his lips. "You slept through it. We tried to tell you but every time we did you nearly cut off our heads with your wings."

The blonde man was already dressed and looked ready for the day ahead. With a sigh I got up and grabbed a set of clothes that he was holding out to me. A pair of jeans and a long-sleeve black top. I scowled and grabbed the clothes; Walking past the golden eyed person I entered his personal bathroom.

I quickly changed into the much to large clothes and opened the bathroom door. Hawks stood leaning against the wall, his head leaned back with his eyes closed. "Shouldn't you have head out a while ago?"

His golden eyes shot open and he offered a small smile. "Yeah but Dabi reminded me that you need to change the bandage over your nose. Thought I'd be nice for once and help you out."

"It's fine." Silently I walked past the man, my eyes narrowing on the ground. I had forgotten about that. "Let's just get going."

A hand grabbed my wrist, pulling me backwards. My body turned and I fell face first into Hawk's chest. "Don't want that wound getting infected now do we baby bird?" The overly cocky blonde looked down at me, his large hands lightly fluttering across my bandaged face.

"Finally decided on a nickname for me pretty bird?" My hand reached to his and moved it down from my face. "I was getting tired of being called kid all the time."

He smirked and leaned down to my ear. "Let me change the bandage or you'll forever be called wings ."

"Fine." It didn't take long for Hawks to grab his medical kit and sit me down on his bed. As he took off the old wrapping I noticed the dark red blood staining the white cloth. He was gentle, the way his hands trailed across my wound was so kind and delicate. A question slipped through my mouth. "What's your name?"

The hero stopped mid-movement. He looked at me, his golden gaze questioning my motives behind the question. "I don't have one." He threw the bloody bandage into a trashcan and pulled out a new one. "Well not anymore at least."

"Everybody has a name." Grabbing his hand, I dragged it to cup my cheek. Instantly I craned my neck to lightly push my head against his hand. "Whether you want it or not. I'll understand if you don't want me to know it, we barley met, but I'd like to know the man who's giving me a home."

Pink dusted across the hero's face but he pushed it down, a blank look returning to it's place across his face. "Keigo Takami, but I kinda like you calling me pretty bird. It's nice to know that people think I'm good looking."

Lightly I smacked his face and stood up. "Well now that whatever that was is over, I gotta get to my job." Turning away I sent my hand up in the air to wave the winged man bye. "Don't die out there!"

I was already out of the room when his response came, "No promises!" With a snicker I left his apartment and headed to work.

The flight was much shorter than the one from my old apartment so it didn't take long for me to reach Endeavor's agency. When I touched down in front of the building I had half expected Emiko to run out and greet me, but sadly she didn't.

Begrudgingly I entered the agency and made my way to the elevator. Nobody entered as I pushed the button to go up to the floor my office was on, leaving me to ride up the elevator alone. After the long elevator ride I stepped out into the hall of the 49th floor.

Lightly I walked down the passage, my feet lightly padding against the cool tile. Since Hawk's shoes didn't fit I had instead wrapped my feet, the cloth wrapping around the center of my foot and winding up my ankle: Not my best idea considering how dirty this floor likely was.

Following the winding hall I eventually found the large sliding glass door that led into my office. Through that door I could see Emiko and several other people setting boxes down. Pushing it open everyone turned to me.

"What's going on?" I asked confused, my eyes wandering over the dozen or so boxes littered on the floor.

"Hey (Y/N)!" Emiko gave me the most fake smile I'd ever seen from her. "This is your new assignment."

Moving past the boxes on the floor I made my way to my desk and sat down. Turning in the chair several times I finally stopped spinning and looked towards the blue haired girl. "What's the assignment?"

The other people in the room exited, leaving us alone. She sat on the side of my desk and lightly laid her tablet down in front of me. "There's a meeting this Friday and Endeavor wants you to sort through these papers to make a presentation of them." Emiko pulled up an example presentation and began to scroll through it. "Just sort through the papers and pick out the important information that'll give everyone a debriefing of what we already know."

My mind was running a mile a minute as I tried to comprehend everything Emiko was telling me. After a couple of seconds I managed to get my questions out. "What's the meeting about and why is there so much information?"

"There's so much information because this isn't the first time this case is being opened: It's the third." Emiko pulled her tablet away and began to scroll through it, not fully paying attention to the obvious confusion written across my face. "You'll find out a lot about what this meeting will be about when you start sorting through the boxes. I labeled them 1-7 so you know where you should start."

A sudden alarm blurted out from Emiko's tablet and she rolled her eyes, though a small smile made it's way to her lips. "I'd really like to stay and help you out but the boss is calling." Her deep onyx eyes gave me a soothing look and I could tell she was using her quirk to calm me down. "Good luck chickadee."

Emiko left me alone in the room so I grabbed the box labeled as one. Pulling the heavy container onto the desk, I pulled out a large stack of the papers contained inside. My chair leaned back as I allowed my body to slump in the chair, both my hands running across the papers in my hand.

It was only word, yet it made my heart stop. A chilling sensation nipped at my exposed arms and it crawled it's way down my spine. The word echoed in my mind, igniting more than a few unwanted memories.

Phoenix.

They were one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in Japan, even more so than the League of Villains. Lots of people don't know about Phoenix, and those who did don't know the full length of the mob. Most only know about the illegal drug that's resulted in numerous deaths throughout Japan: Zeramophine.

Throwing the papers on my desk but even then the word wouldn't leave me alone. Pushing the papers off the desk, they scattered across the floor: I couldn't do this.

"Minx?" Someone called out, causing me to jump in my chair. Shooting my gaze up I was met with Atlas looking worriedly at me. "You okay?"

With a shake of my head I tried to push away the thoughts that clouded my mind, didn't work that well. "I'm fine Atlas. What are you doing here?"

The boy closed the door behind him as he entered my office, with every step he had to maneuver past boxes and papers across the floor. "My class is here on a field trip." He let out a small laugh as he sat down. "Your blonde bird friend saw me and said that your office was here, my teacher said that I could come say hi."

"Your teacher just let you go off by yourself?"

Scratching the back of his neck he looked to the side. "Yeah, but she probably wouldn't have if Hawk's hadn't started flirting with her."

"Sounds like him." I rolled my eyes and grabbed some papers from the box that was still laid on my desk. "Now if that's all, I have a lot of work that I need to get back to."

"You, doing work? I think I'm hallucinating." Atlas pretend to feel for a fever as his black eyes darted around the room.

"Ha ha. I'm serious thought, I've got a new project that I need to finish by Friday." Glancing over the papers in my hand, I could already tell this was going to be a hell of a time. "So if you could stop being an annoying brat and let me get back to work, it would be appreciated."

Atlas's eyes flashed red and I shot my wing out, a sharp piece of glass shattering against my metal feathers. "Dang, I thought that one would surely get you."

"Still not strong enough to beat me." I shot him a cheeky smile and all I got in response was an annoyed glare.

Atlas stood up and walked towards the door, his feet stepping carefully to avoid the papers across the floor. "You're not alone anymore." He stopped just on the outside of the door, still facing away from me. "I'm not just talking about Edmond and I anymore. You've made some friends minx, I overheard your conversation with the short girl earlier. So don't do something stupid and get yourself hurt (Y/N)."

The teenage boy turned to walk away but as he did I caught a glimpse of his eyes, a piercing red. On instinct my wings shot out to protect me from any glass coming towards me, but none ever did. Looking around I noticed a glass statue laid upon my desk, it resembled a falcon.

Light reflected off the bird, it's long wings elegantly outstretched. For a bird of prey it looked peaceful ad I could only imagine it soaring high in the bright blue sky. My hand raised and lightly caressed the wings of the bird, a sharp pain shooting through my hand; Blood began to roll out of a small wound on my hand.

Looking back at the bird I realized something: It looked peaceful but in reality it was waiting for just the right moment to strike it's next victim.

"So much poetic justice, can't believe someone with a tiny brain like Atlas had such an idea." I smiled and continued to stare at the beautiful glass bird; My mind wandering away from all the work that had to be completed by Friday.
