{King}

As I walk into the house, I slam the door. I'm so damn stress out, and there is not a real reason why. It's just so much going on. I went straight upstairs to the room, and I see Joy sleep in bed. "Hey," She says as I open the door to the bathroom. I thought she was sleep. "Hey," I say, and I hop in the shower.

Once got out the shower I notice that Joy was all the way sleep now, I was about to go to bed but I knew I wouldn't be able to go to sleep. I went to the laptop right by the bed, and I pulled up the sellings and who sold them. As I read them, everything looks good. As I go to get up, I decided to look up Rob, to see if I could find anything on him. Joy last name is Grant, and so I decide to look up Rob Grant, but nothing came up. So then I decide to look up the name Robert Grant and something pops up.

"What are you doing?" I hear Joy's soft voice. "Come to bed Kyree" she flips over to her side.

"Yeah in a minute," I tell her and focus back on the computer, but I decided to leave this for the morning or afternoon. I get up and get in the bed. As I lay and close my eyes, Joy says something.

"You going to tell me what yall talked about" She ask with her back facing me. Really Joy.

"Do you really think this is the time, just go back to sleep Joy" I tell her and then she turns around and faces me.

"Yeah, I do think this is the time, I asked...." She had said before I cut her off, "ight, I promise I'll tell you in the morning, ight" I ask her.

"Ok," she nods her head.

"Go to sleep big baby," I say and kiss her on her forehead, and she laughs.

{Joy}

Flashback/Dream

I hear loud banging and people laughing in the front room. I know my mom just came in from god knows where with her friends like she always does. I try to read my book that I have to know for school but I can't with all of the noise. I feel my minute phone vibrate underneath me. I pick it up and see it's Troy calling me.

"Hello," I say to him.

"Hey sis, can you come out for a minute," He asks me and I curse under my breath because my mom just came in.

"Yeah, I'll be out in a minute," I say to him.

I grab my hoodie and put it on and I walk out my door and lock it. As walk down the hall hoping not to be noticed. I reach the front room, and I hear someone call my name.

"Joy" I turn to my mom.

"Left that child alone Nikki," One of my mom's friend says.

"I'm being a mother asking the little hoe where she's going," My mom says and I roll my eyes.

"I'm just stepping out," I tell her and open the door and closes it.

Flashback/Dream over

I wake up to King on his phone in bed, and the tv is on. I lean up and put my head on his shoulder.

"Wasup," He asks me, and he puts his phone down.

"Nothing," I tell him, I just know it is time to go attempt to find my mother. I have questions that I need an answer to. As I daydream my thoughts, I hear King call me and snap my out.

"You going to tell me what's going on" He looks at me.

"It's just about my mom, I feel like I should go find her" I shrug my shoulder not knowing what I should do.

"Just let me know, you know. I'm be by your side," He tells me.

"I know," I say and lean in and kiss him. I lean back on the bed headboard as I was about to ask him about him and Sam his phone rings, I ask him later. I decide to get up and get in the shower.

{King}

I answered my phone and seen it was my mom.

"Hey, mom," I say knowing she about to yell at me.

"Boy, don't hey me... where the hell you been. You forgot about your mother the one that birth you" She says and I laugh a little bit.

"Nah mama, I have just been busy," I tell her and I she pops her lips.

"Yeah ok Kyree," She says and I laugh harder, "where Joy at," she says, and Joy walks out the bathroom.

"Right here," I tell my mama and hand the phone to Joy.

"Hey Mama Grace," Joy says, and I walk downstairs to get bottled water.

As I walk downstairs, something just draws me to the front door. I open the door, and I see a red envelope sitting on my front porch.
